I am/was a resident of this facility
Pine Tree is a poor place to live. I have lived here for nine years now. It has a big bedbug and rat and mice problem. The food is not edible. There are stray feral cats everywhere. There are smokers ashes all over the property. The staff at Pine Tree are nice. I've been here nine years and have had bed bugs six times. They are slow to get the bedbugs out of your apartment. They have been on top of things with the coronavirus. The majority of the residents at Pine Tree are filthy. They do not shower or wash their hair. They do not put on clean clothes. The facility is a older facility. The apartments are not clean. They do have activities here like bingo and outings. They will let you sign up for a Walmart trip on Monday and Friday. But, unfortunately they are not on time to take you . One can go to either HEB or Kroger on Wednesday but the staff again is not on time. They have 2 scheduled eating outings to local restaurants on Tuesdays. They also take you to the Dollar Tree on Tuesdays and Big Lots. Sometimes they take you to Ross to shop. Some people here have dogs. But, unfortunately they never bathe them. Bingo can be played Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday.

The facility and staff are so nice and very helpful to all of my mother's needs. She has been a resident here for the last 6 months and seems to have adjusted well to her new living community.

Pine Tree is adequate. The staff is adequate, but not caring. There are no medical personnel here so it's pretty much be self-care. I have a visiting nurse. The only activities are Bingo and shopping trips twice a week. The food is adequate, but not nutritious. The building is in very bad shape. I can afford it, but I pay way too much for what I get. They go every two weeks to the public library and they do have a closet with donated paperback books, but hardly anyone ever uses it. The rooms are rather poorly-maintained. We have bedbugs and we're starting to have a mouse and rat problem -- we have stray cats everywhere. My apartment is a very tiny studio and I have been here six years. I have a kitty cat, so I'm fairly comfortable. I got a brand new air conditioner after many months of begging because the old one burned up. It's not easy here because it's very frustrating.

Pine Tree is an older place but seemed to be well maintained. The rooms were semi-private. Residents were free to come and go if they drive. I'm a cigar smoker and they had lots of areas where you could go smoke. The staff members were very friendly and cordial. I think I would have enjoyed living there.

Our first impression of Pine Tree was not positive, so we didn’t stay for too long there. It didn’t seem to be clean, and the attention to the patients was lacking, so we didn’t give them a second chance.

Pine Tree Lodge is comfortable. The staff is very caring. The food could be better though. We have Bingo and other things. The place is well taken care of.

Pine Tree Lodge seems to be a nice place to stay for those that are disabled or elderly. I have never seen any abuse or neglect at this facility, and the staff are kind and helpful. I would most definitely recommend Pine Tree Lodge to anyone needing an assisted living facility in the Houston area. They have a full schedule of activities for the residents, and they encourage regular visitation at the facility. Pine Tree Lodge is easily accessible from my house, and it is easy to get around the facility, not shaped like a maze or puzzle, there is one long hallway to get to the resident's dorms. All of the nurses treated me with the utmost respect when I visited Mr. Zavadek, and even offered to let me have a free lunch with him one day. Pine Tree lodge gets a thumbs up for service and hospitality from me.

Pine Tree Assisted Living is a great place for people who need help but it's definitely not like a nursing home! The staff is so friendly & knowledgeable! Our family met with them twice before deciding that's where my Aunt needed to be. They have activities daily so my Aunt doesn't feel cooped up & can get out & mingle with other people. They also have a bus that comes a couple times a week that takes them shopping & anywhere they need to go! What sold me is the emergency call response. It's kind of similar to life alert. They wear a little necklace at all times & if they need help they push it & someone is there within a few minutes & ambulances are dispatched. The best part is..... AN AMBULANCE SERVICE IS LESS THAN A BLOCK AWAY!! I couldn't believe the perfect placement of this facility! They also have housekeeping & they do all their laundry! I really love it because it is like her own little apartment & she doesn't feel like a kid being babysat! I don't have to worry about my aunt & I know she is in good hands when we aren't there with her! Thanks so much!!

I am a friend or relative of resident
My grand mother in-law had to reside in one for a short time and we visited often. It did not smell great, and the food was awful. But the nurses were kind for the most part. They didn't listen when they were instructed on her special diet for the most of her stay and constantly served her foods that she could not eat making her have to call us to bring her foods that she could eat. The rooms were small, with mediocre at best but i have to say that the nurses and the other residents made up for some of the shortcomings of the facilities. The ones we dealt with were kind enough and she seemed to like them, although some of them were a bit to bossy for my taste. The other residents there were nice and entertaining during our visits and kept Grandmother happy enough. They had some forms of entertainment such as bingo and from what i could tell basic cable. All in all its not somewhere I would consider using again.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
We moved my father in law to Pine Tree Cottage and we love it. He is a handful and was put out of a place in Baytown. This facility handles him with no issues. The staff is trained to handle even the most difficult of residents. The staff is friendly and kind. They treat my father in law like his is family. The building is well maintained and clean. The secure courtyards are nice also. This is a small facility which gives more individual care to each resident. The night staff is just as great as they day shift.

I am a friend or relative of resident
My father was residing here for about 6 months. He had several falls and staff at night time were not doing their routes to check on patients. Communication was not well they would sometimes keep things about my father as for him falling and medications were giving wrong at times. None of the staff is trained at all to deal with alzheimer's patients. Staff there is minimal meaning the proper care is not given. When you are too involved as a family member they do not like that when questions keep being asked. Food there is horrible and personal property is always mixed up with other patients.

Pine Tree Cottage has accepted my father immediately. Now he is a resident there going on for two months now. It is a small place but it feels like a home and I like that. Their staff is very kind. I'm going to give them a high rating for now because it has been good so far.
