Assisted Living Reviews for Mayberry Gardens

August 10, 2021

By Pam

I visited this facility

I really, really liked Mayberry Gardens. It was the first place I toured. The only negative was that I think the rooms were a little smaller, but it was brand new, fresh, and clean. Because it was a newer place, I think it had a few less amenities than the other places, but that's just because they're brand new. I only met the one lady, and she was very nice. It was fabulous.

I visited this facility

Mayberry Gardens was a nice facility with on-site nurses. If we could have afforded something like that, it would have been fine, but my mother kept on saying that she wanted more independent living instead of assisted living. The facility was immaculate with the upkeep of the outside. The setup was beautiful. They had a little sitting area outside, plants, and beautiful landscapes. The staff was very knowledgeable about everything that was going on about the facility. She talked to us through everything about the rooms and its sizes. The only thing was she just couldn't give us a price. I think I ended up talking about it with somebody else. Seemed like the nurses and the staff were very helpful too. I didn't know where to go, and they told me, "Wait a minute, we're going in. Will let them know that you're here."

Our staff approach from the front and as they place the plate of food in front of the resident and announce what is being served and queue the resident by placing a fork or spoon in their hand. Many times staff use a hand over hand technique to help residents get started eating and staff eat with residents and sit at the table to observe and help.
