I toured Wheeler Place and it was very nice. I liked it a lot. All of it was good as far as I could see. It was clean. I didn't get to eat any of the food or anything like that, but everyone was very friendly, and it was just a nice place.
John was great. We became fast friends early.
At that particular time, a lot of them were playing cards, but I do know they have other activities.
It gets more expensive the more you have to have help, that was one of the reasons why we kept on working. You know, price makes you have to be careful when you do that, you know, make sure you can afford it.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My dad was at Wheeler Place in Gainesville for about three-to-four weeks. I actually loved it. It was smaller than a lot of the nursing homes.
The staff, John, was outstanding. My dad's room was big enough for a bed, a big TV, and he had these small types of chairs. He was by himself, too, and I thought that was perfect.
For activities, they had jigsaw puzzles, and a lot of the residents there played cards.
