I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The first day staff display a very concerned demeanor. The Same night my love one fell trying to go to bathroom after reporting his condition of needing help getting up and being spontaneous if call light is not answered in a timely manner. After learning of conditions and requirements he was place at the farthest room from the nurses station anyway. He was moved from another facility due to the same events reported to them. The next day he was moved to a room closer to the nurses station. He was moved again this day due to plumbing and still was not able to get assistance in a timely manner. When i visited i worked as if i was on the clock. I had to clean his room. I had to change him and help him to the rest room. His bathroom would have poop every when he tried cleaning himself. I asked for a bedside commode since they could not make it too his room in time. Aides told me it was better for him to it do on himself in the bed. He had multiple falls since he had poor balance and generalized weakness being diagnosed with failure to thrive upon arrival. I called facility due to not being able to reach him by cell phone and the aide answer from upstairs stating i want to let you know i often notices his tray untouched and today i passed his room and he was on the floor waiting for someone to help him up. He got a fractured shoulder not reported to me by the doctor nor any staff during this admission. I walked in and found his pants around his ankles and urine cup lying in between his thighs while the door was closed and room filled with the smell of undiluted bleach. He was begging for water when i walked in, lunch tray untouched on the other side of room. Nurse reported she was sorry and they were about to bring out dinner trays that it could be thrown away. At this point in his stay he had declined requiring 2 person transfer. Too much else to disclose. Just stay as far as can from this place if you need care for your love one.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My husband is in The Traymore at Park Cities, and I think our experience has been pretty positive. The staff would stay on top of things. If there's a change in his medication or anything like that, they call me. Or when the doctor prescribes a new medication, I would get a text. I feel really good that they keep me updated on what's going on. My husband stayed there for respite because I had to have surgery. They offer physical therapy, they did trips and bake cookies every day. They also keep things out for the residents like coffee and tea every day. The food was very good. They chopped his food really fine for him so it'll be easier to chew. I'm going to rate this community a 5 because everybody is nice, friendly, and helpful. I like that I'm free to call when I need to talk to somebody like the nurse, and they always keep me updated. They have quite a few of those activities. As far as what they offer I would rate them a 5, even though my husband doesn't participate. The VA is the one paying for his expenses there.

They allowed my father to have a terrible bed sore. They didn't rotate him, have him a bed a proper bed that could have helped to prevent the bed sore and didn't change him timely. His face was always dirty. They didn't provide proper care. His sheets were dirty and never seemed to have a blanket just a sheet. I had to ask for a blanket on more than one occasion and wash his face. I didn't see a water in his room. I had to bring it. And then it just sat in the room until I came. He had dementia and could do things for himself the last month of his life. I would not recommend this place.

Concerned person ugh

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Had a relative here for a week. He was never moved from his bed stayed lying in the same position in the dark. He was not showered, shaved, or dressed. He was never offered fluids other than meals. Food was gross, mostly fried and all starch. Staff was unfriendly and sometimes rude. This place is pitiful and they should be ashamed the way elderly people are treated.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I have no idea why my dad was placed here 3 weeks ago. Supposedly, his medical condition was better and he needed rehabilitation. For the first 3 days the attention was good and we had faith my dad would rehabilitate. Not even a week passed by and we noticed how the LVN and tech personnel were not attentive at all. My dad's heart rate was lower than it should be since he is on a pacemaker. I brought it to the LVN's attention she didn't seem concerned. She checked it twice and it was low as I had previously checked on my iwatch. Then, she said she wouldn't be worried about it. I insisted and she brought another little machine to check it. Her words, " this thing sometimes has a circuit failure" I thought to myself.... how in the world would it have failure. These are people's lives, people's loved ones.... she checked and it was low. I called 911 and got my dad out of there! At the ER they noticed my dad has a MAJOR open sores on his butt and groin area from the diaper. So bad it was bleeding and there was even pus. Which explained why they would close the curtain when changing his diaper. Reconsider taking your loved one here.

My wife is at Traymore Nursing Center. I like this facility because they have friendly nurses as well as friendly people. She has an ostomy bag so they help her with that. They also help her doing some therapy. Overall, I am satisfied.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

After, my grandfather had an unfortunate fall and broken his hip. I was needing a place for him to live once he was released from the hospital and had completed rehab. If I remember correctly the Traymore was my fourth visit. Upon walking in the facility I was greeted with a warm welcome. After a brief intoduction to some of the management staff. They took me on a complete tour of the facility and introduced me to some of the resident staff which were all very nice. I told them I was very happy with there facility and if it was up to me they are my choice but my grandfather was the one who would make the final decsion. They told me no problem and set up a tour for him the very next day. Too make a long story short my grandfather said to me "This is the one".
