Poet's Walk is an outstanding memory care facility that I am considering for my mom, who has Alzheimer's. During my visit, Lisa, the community relations person, and Joe, the business development director, warmly welcomed me and answered all my questions without any fluff. Their genuine care for the residents was evident, and I felt reassured that my mom would be in good hands. What impressed me the most about Poet's Walk was their specific focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care. The engagement and activities were designed to cater to the unique needs of individuals living with these conditions, ensuring that my mom would have stimulating and enjoyable experiences. The staff members seemed knowledgeable and patient, making it clear that they knew how to handle the challenges that come with memory-related issues. Throughout the tour, I observed how the staff interacted with residents. They were kind, attentive, and treated each person with respect and dignity. The facility itself was clean and well-maintained, and I appreciated the attention to safety measures. Overall, Poet's Walk feels like a secure and supportive environment where my mom could thrive. The staff's dedication, compassion, and the facility's focus on Alzheimer's and dementia care make it a top choice for providing exceptional memory care for my mom.

The community relations counselor at Poet's Walk Cedar Park Memory Care met us right after the receptionist. They checked our temperature and did a brief COVID questionnaire. Then we went into an office with the community relations counselor, we talked with her for a while, then we went into the facility itself. They have some remodeling that they're doing right now so some plastic was firmly taped down and everything. And you walk into a large room which is the main room where people gather. We were not impressed with the cleanliness of the place. We were very surprised that they had only been in business for a few years because the place just didn't seem very clean and well-kept to us. When we went into one of the rooms she was showing us, it was kind of used as a storeroom. There was a definite smell in the place, not urine or anything like that, just a very unpleasant smell. And that is through an entry mask, we were still aware of the smell. The lady was very, very nice, knowledgeable, and answered our questions, but we were not impressed with the facility. The dining in the dining area was not as clean as we thought it could be. They could improve by making it look more inviting and clean.

Poet's Walk Cedar Park has an exclusive memory care facility and my parents-in-law are moving there. I've toured it and it's beautiful, I love it. That's the only way to say about that place. If you have a parent that needs memory care and you have money, that's the other thing, that's the place to go. The staff is amazing. I'm assuming they're going to help my in-laws and take excellent care of them. I feel like the rooms were a little bit small, to be honest. Smaller than what I would like. The main thing about them that I like was that it seems like they are always having a party. Every time I visited there, they are engaging the resident. That is the main thing I like. It seems like they do everything they can to stimulate them to get out of that room and have engagement with other people. They're not just sleeping all day. I saw them having a Cinco de Mayo party. They have a garden-like outdoor area for the residents.

As my husband of 39 years started to get sick I always said "I will never take him to a facility I will always take care of him" I quit working to do just that however 3 years later I was exhausted mentally and physically as he has Lewy body dementia dementia and parkinsons I started looking for facilities and I went to Poets Walk in Cedar Park near my home. Is a beautiful place he is able to walk everywhere his room is nice and clean the main thing is the Staff and Caregivers, I know them all. The management is always there for me when I have a concern.

The only reason I didn't go with Poet's Walk is the cost and that I had to furnish the apartment myself. My family doesn't live here so it means I would need to get beds and everything for my sister. The size of the room in the memory care level was fine. It also had very good security. The staff was good, but I don't know if they're on alert for when someone comes in to visit. Hopefully, it's a regular thing that they're all very friendly and they show how caring they are with the clients. They had a common room and I saw the dining area, I was impressed with all of it. I like the fact that they have a walkway between buildings and when you go out, you see the flowers and the greenery where you can sit.

We chose Poet's Walk Cedar Park for my mom. I'm not allowed in it, but she's enjoying it. She loves the staff. Everything has been on point. They've been good. The facility looks good, and they actually care. The staff doesn't have a big turnover, so they're the same people, and that's the important part. They do everything from tai-chi, to bingo, and pumpkin painting. My mother says it's like kindergarten. There's always something going on.
