The Clairmont Retirement Community was an older facility. It's all on one level, and it's very sprawling. It has long corridors, and the corridors are not completely level. There are several level changes in the corridors that are accomplished with ramps. I did not feel as comfortable in that facility as I did in the other place. The rooms were much smaller. They were about half the size of the other place's living spaces. I didn't see anything out of the ordinary in terms of amenities. They had common areas, a library, and an activity room. I was dissatisfied with the meal that I got there. It was supposedly to be chicken fried steak, but it was a little chewy and it had poor flavor. It tasted like it was something that you take out of the freezer and microwave.

My friend will be moving into The Clairmont. They were very honest, upfront, very friendly, and very accommodating. Everything worked out, and they were perfect. Everything was upfront. There were no hidden costs. Everything you can think of is available to you. We were surprised at all the accommodations. You can be as active as you want to be. The only thing that they didn't have was a pool. The rooms were a good size. This is a little older community, but it's in very good condition and good location. We were approached by people that have lived there 14 and 15 years, so that says a lot. They can go shopping. They have a club where the ladies can go to lunch. They have a beauty parlor, activities, and a garden club. My friend can have her two little pugs with the little fence yard. We couldn't want for more truthfully.

We saw The Clairmont in Austin on Monday. I like that the rooms have been remodeled, and they looked very nice. We saw their exercise room, the cafeteria, and the library. We saw the entire community. The staff seemed very pleasant. Everyone was nice when we walked in. There weren't any activities going on. There were some people coming in the media room and library, and no one was in the activity room. It's being maintained very well, and everyone was just super pleasant. It was a nice experience overall.

The Clairmont is lovely. Everybody was courteous and polite. I haven't moved in yet, but the room appears to be in excellent condition. I had lunch there one day, and the food was excellent too. They're under renovation, so they're doing some improvement.

I have chosen The Clairmont for my father. I haven't filled out any paperwork with them or anything yet, but the goal is to move him in there. I thought it had a very affordable price considering the quality of the facility. I thought the staff was very inviting. One of the guys that were working there offered to kind of help my dad move in specifically, and I thought that was very kind. The woman that was like the admissions staff there was very friendly and welcoming. It just kind of fit my father's needs for the price I was looking for. The dining area looked very clean. It looked like they prepare tasty meals there. In general, the whole facility provides a good place to live if you're at retirement age. They have a good library, a workout area, and there's a pool table there as well. The atmosphere was pleasant. There's a lot of kind residents there and the staff was welcoming. It just seemed like a very calm and nice place.

The Clairmont was the one I think my parents may have gone to. It's certainly an older facility, but the staff there was fantastic. The people there seemed incredibly happy, to the point where it almost seemed mischievous. I thought, "What are they doing with these folks here?" They're all together and there was a solid sense of community. It seemed like a place my parents would really, really like, and move to.
