I am/was a resident of this facility

I think I had a lot of good therapy at Brodie Ranch Nursing & Rehab Center. The therapists and the workers would come every day and work with me. I got my medicine on time. I tried to go back there but found out that people were having changes with the staff right now and so the personnel who had been in charge didn't call me back unless they did and I didn't recognize the number. The staff, like the nurses and assistants, were really good but there would be times when I would need a shower and ask if I could get in the shower, I would get one but then nobody would show back up. I didn't like that. That was just a little assistance, but basically when I needed my medicine or whatever, I got everything. Those six months were good, that's why they were able to let me go. They thought that I was doing rather better than a lot of the other people. One other reason that I was told to leave was because there was some difference of opinion about my finances and my check, but other than that, it was good. Our breakfast was cold by the time we got it because they had four different sections there. It was about the same thing every day like eggs and maybe oatmeal. It was the same meal with a slice of bacon and that was it. To me, it's a nice facility. The one activity that they had basically for me was bingo. They said they have activities together for the seniors like playing some kind of basketball with a balloon or sitting in the dining room and watching TV, but the only activity I liked to do was to sit outside.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Recently COVID activity took place here and they simply had unorganized plan of panic. No one cares sincerely for the elderly here; they make my relative WAIT for an hour and half to go to bathroom. They removed all property and confused it with others, so it has NOT been returned. Guess we can consider all his items GONE, since they have no motivation to return it only remove items, so they don't have to clean up or get it for you. They move like a snail's pace so if YOUR loved one is there, they MIGHT get to them IF they want to or can make time for them. Plus, I only hear the STAFF COMPLAIN about the elderly like a clogged toilet that it is the elderly's fault. Other places have not shown much better circumstances BUT if only compassion, integrity and consideration for those who cannot do for themselves during this period of time, would be more reliable for assistance when in need, instead of being treated as a lesser human, then maybe when we all get there, we too may have the luxury of being cared for genuinely instead of feeling like a burden.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad has been there for 3 years now he has completely loved it and some of the old staff was there now they're all gone this place cannot seem to keep anybody not even a manager the one they have now never comes out of her office I don't even know what she looks like the place is not near as clean as I would like it it always smells down the Halls when Dad pushes his button which his Light is inset in the hall you can't see it .at a care plan meeting I asked if they had a light switch up there that tell when they push the button they said yes. well then answer me why I set in there waiting for 45 minutes waiting for someone to come my dad set in there for 3 hours waiting for someone to come. this is totally unacceptable I know that he is not the only patient in there but what if he was choking. at least acknowledging and get back with him this is our pride and joy our parents and no one will ever be good enough but I expect good care for my dad and I don't believe he is getting it there .there is one person left there that is very good at what he does and it's the only reason we're there right now but looking elsewhere. the problem is they don't want to pay the cna anything in there the ones that do all the work . We first noticed the problem because they keep changing companies we're on our third this is getting ridiculous and it's very sad for the elderly and what we have to look forward to and I always pray that you have an advocate for your family member those who don't I feel so sad for. I have addressed these problems several times that we have in care plan meetings they get on it in a week and then it goes right back to The Way We Were if you're a diabetic they don't care you're going to eat whatever they fix the food is horrible my biggest complaint is why in the world would you feed Nursing Home Patient rice cornbread and brussel sprouts we're a normal young person could choke on them what do you think the elderly will do I do my dad's laundry every week I've noticed that more and more of his laundry is soaked in pee someone's not doing their job don't you think
