How often care givers check on residents and actually spend a bi of time with them. They seldom check on them unless you request them to then they will maybe spend 2 minutes with them . They dont always answer the phone for hours at a time They are quick to close their doors to the residents after hospital stays without first working with family to find other options For their care if the lodge doesn’t think they can give sufficient care. Sometimes you can work something out if you plant yourself in front of them and push for close to 2 hours. The staff turn over is crazy high . We keep getting notice of staff leaving. Recent change in leadership led to some favorite staff being terminated or them quitting because of difficult work environment The owner will deny all of this Some staff are really great and caring.

I toured the Lodge at Natchez Trace. My impression was that the outside was pretty, but the inside was dark. They had a lovely outdoor patio. The dinner area or cafeteria was nice, it was bright, and had a lot of light in it. The hallways and all of the apartments were rather dark, and the apartments were just small and tiny, and they had individual window boxes for air conditioning, which I did not like. I didn't interact much with any of the nurses, but everybody else seemed to be fairly nice. The size of everything was small, I just didn't have a good feeling about this community. The one good thing about them was that they had an outdoor veranda for each apartment. We saw that they had a guitarist that was playing for people in the activity room. We saw the beauty shop and their library was real dingy and very small.

Mom was at The Lodge at Natchez Trace, and I liked the people that worked there. Everybody was very attentive and helpful. It was a lovely place. The community was smaller, so it was more quaint. All the residents seemed to get along and have good times together. The place was always pretty spotless. They had a salon, a podiatrist that came in every ten weeks, and church service on Sundays. They were very helpful if you needed assistance getting to your doctor's appointment.

I think The Lodge at Natchez Trace did a good job on the tour. I didn't notice a lot of residents involved very much when I was there. What I noticed during the tour was an odor that was not pleasant walking through the different hallways. It was not like somebody had had an accident or the bathroom had not been cleaned. It wasn't that type of smell, it wasn't a moldy smell, it was just not a pleasant smell. It did not smell fresh. The staff were nice and very informative. I looked at both the private rooms and the shared rooms. The shared rooms were much smaller than the other place, and I didn't like them at all. The private rooms were okay. I did not like the shared rooms because they were very small, and they shared a bathroom. I didn't feel like there was much privacy because they were so small. It's hard to have a small room and have much privacy. The residents were in a room when I went by to see what their activities were. I saw a few residents in there and it was kind of a closed room. It didn't seem as welcoming.

My friend moved into The Lodge at Natchez Trace last month. When you walk in, it looks like a country lodge -- a great-big, open room, with high, beamed ceilings, furnished nicely, not overly fancy, but very, very nice. When you go upstairs, the hallways are not as long and large as some places, but it's very comfortable looking. Some of the residents decorate their doors, some do not. My friend's room is a studio right now, because she's there as a respite resident; she is just staying until her rehab is finished. Her room is comfortable; they did everything they could to increase its comfort level. About a week after she moved in, they had kind of learned her needs and her habits. We've been very pleased with what they offer. I've had private meetings to get her established with the nursing care and with the CEO, and they've taken plenty of time to speak with her son who lives in Florida to confirm and reaffirm things that are going on. I have visited several times, and they have been very gracious about allowing visits with people who are masked and are willing to social distance. I've observed music events; I know they sang hymns one Wednesday afternoon, and they had a guitar-playing musical performer (who was outstanding) another afternoon when I was there. They offer physical therapy and occupational therapy, all done by one agency. Throughout COVID, they've only allowed one agency to come in; that way they know exactly who's coming and going, and they have less exposure. They've had very little COVID. They also have bingo on a regular basis. You win points or credits when you play bingo and you win, and you can buy things with your credit. It's kind of stimulating to the mind. They have a large gathering space, plus a game room, plus a large visiting space that they used during COVID, but I think they're opening up on Monday because all the residents will have had their second vaccine by then. They're very conscious of it, but they're not fearful, which I really like, because that's my friend's nature, too. She likes the food, and that's a big plus. One thing they did last week for any of the residents who wanted to was they masked up, loaded on the bus, and went out to Loveless cafe, which is kind of a famous place to eat where lots of country-music singers and tourists go. They went there in the early morning and had a breakfast/brunch kind of meal together. They have a beauty shop, and they have manicures. The nursing staff is amazing -- the nurses that she has had, she has just loved her nurses. I called the Lodge to inquire if they had a respite room for my friend. They did, and it was actually open. That afternoon their community-relations person came to my friend's house and brought us the paperwork to get her in that respite room. By the next afternoon -- twenty-four hours later -- she was in The Lodge. They're quick responders, that is a huge plus, and I've never seen that anywhere else.

We love Lodge at Natchez Trace. They are serving a lot of organic food, they buy organic beef, and fresh fruits and vegetables, and they don't use a lot of canned stuff. The rooms were just too small, and my husband and I would have to separate. The dietitian put on a lovely lunch for us, which was a gourmet restaurant type of lunch. The communication we had with the restaurant staff was very positive. The director was fantastic and very accommodating. We had a lot of questions, and we never felt that he didn't have enough time for us.

My Vietnam veteran father had a stroke and diagnosed with dementia at the same time. Unable to care for himself and me being here in TN and him in Ohio, I felt I I had a bit of unique situation. Matt File; The administrator was such a great help navigating me with what I needed to do to get my father here, he put me in touch with an organization that works with vets to offer assistance in their monthly costs. The day I moved my father in, I wasn't going to be there until later in the evening, 9:00pm well past office hours, Amy their memory care director stayed until I got there to make sure Dad & I were welcomed and for dad to feel comfortable, The rooms are clean, and spacious. Andrea the activities director also stayed to meet dad, she let him know as soon as he was ready to join in she will be there to navigate him to all the fun he could handle! I cannot tell you how much worry and stress they took off my shoulders will all they have done. I am forever grateful!

I cannot adequately express my gratitude to the folks at The Lodge at Natchez Trace. I was, like most, concerned when Mom and Dad moved into assisted living. But I need not have been. After a little time to acclimate I heard my Mom say, for the first time in a long time, "I'm happy." The Lodge is a clean, beautiful and friendly place. But the best thing about it is the people. Everyone I've met on the staff has been kind and caring as well as sincere and professional. From the Maintenance Guys (Bo and Kevin) to the Executive Director (Steve) and everyone in between the Lodge is full of genuinely good folks. And that includes, of course, the residents. Mom and Dad found an extended family at the Lodge. They quickly made several good friends and became part of a community that really cares for them. In short, Mom and Dad found a Home at The Lodge. And a concerned child couldn't ask for more than that.

I visited my sister at The Lodge at Natchez Trace in Franklin, TN yesterday as I have before. I am constantly impressed with the facility and its overall cleanness and pleasant staff. The food in the cafeteria is excellent!As good as home cooking can get and Chef David is particularly kind, outgoing and sensitive to the specific needs and wishes of the residents and their guests.

I recently visited to place my mother I was impressed as I was given a tour by Kelly very sweet lady I was taken around the beautiful place we were interduced to Brandy who works in Activities Dept she was doing crafts I belive they were painting crosses she was helping each one smiling laughing with them as I came back through I noticed a resident getting sleepy maybe ?She was rubbing her head and I couldn't make out if she was talking or singing to this resident I can say first impressions I loved it activities and social bonds are what my mother needs caring staff has put my mind at rest knowing they are there not only to collect a pay but put there heart into it. I seen many residents smiling throughout the building nursing staff was on the go busy but smiling. After touring 4 assistant living home we are leaning to put mother at The Lodge at Natchez Trace first impressions are always great Thanks you so much Kelly for our tour!

My mother has been living at The Lodge for just over 3 years...she calls it home. The facility is BEAUTIFUL and there are various sizes of rooms - a size for everyone. At this stage of life, the 2 most critical areas are nutrition and social activities! The Head Chef and his team are AMAZING! Some of Nashville's finest meals are being delivered to the residents daily! I frequently eat meals with my loved one! In the area of Activities, it appears there is room for improvement. The effort is good, but could be enhanced. Getting the residents EXCITED about being out of their room and engaging in meaningful activities is critical. I am hopeful this is an area being worked on by management. Nursing staff is TOP NOTCH! Genuinely caring, gentle and passionate about their work and the residents they serve! Support staff...from the front office, facilities support, transportation services, to the techs who support the nursing staff, and those in the dining area...many have been there multiple years now (the facility is still young, about 5 years old). They love on the residents like family...because they ARE family! Worthy of your time to check them out! My mom still calls The Lodge at Natchez Trace HOME! Looking forward to the owner and management staff doing what needs to be done to strengthen the weaker areas.

The Lodge has been a good experience for my mother-in-law. What makes her experience so positive is the caring of many employees. However the one person who really stands out both with his cooking creativity and his personality is DAVID. David puts his heart and soul into his job each and every very day...

My mother resided at the Lodge for one year. The staff to resident ratio is very low. The food was also excellent. I thought the staff was scrupulously honest in their dealings with me, and seemed to truly enjoy being with my mother.

We love The Lodge so much, that we have used them for 2 relatives now. My Mother-In-Law lived there in 2016 up until she passed away. And now my mother is living there. The food is EXCELLENT, thanks to David's leadership. The staff is incredibly caring and kind. Thank you all for taking such good care of Mom!

My dad has lived at The Lodge for almost 1 year. It has been a very positive experience. Caring staff, clean, well-run facility with a great director. Dad loves living here. The director, John, knows how to manage good talent and The Lodge is fortunate to have a chef with advanced degrees in culinary arts who comes from a background of fine dining. The FOOD is OUTSTANDING! Chef David has very high standards for food quality. Starting with top-notch, fresh ingredients, he cooks from scratch. The meals he and his staff turn out rival any high-end restaurant in the city. Hand-made crab cakes with house-made dill sauce, shrimp and grits, short ribs and pecan pie are just a few of his most requested dishes. The house-made salad dressings are delicious. Families of residents know about this 'secret' place for an amazing lunch. Not only are Chef David and the dining staff amazing in the kitchen, they genuinely care about the residents. After cooking, Chef David comes into the dining room and visits with the residents. You can tell they love him. Two thumbs up for awesome food and warm, loving atmosphere!

The Lodge at Natchez Terrace was a nice and a fairly new facility. I really don’t know much about it, but it didn't have a place to work out, although the staff who accommodated me was excellent.

Everything at the Lodge was spectacular. The holdback that I ran into is the fact that it's got two-stories and an elevator, and with my mother's dementia, that would make it too complicated. I saw them doing arts and crafts. I did not consume the food, but we went through the cafeteria and all the choices that they had, and it looked like it was very nicely done. But, like I said, first of all, I didn't like the two-stories because she was well-advanced in her dementia, and their hallways were more narrow. The Lodge was a beautiful place, and I thought their staff was excellent also. It was beautiful and well-maintained with a knowledgeable staff -- very nice place.

The Lodge at Natchez Trace is a very nice facility but they don’t have a computer room yet, and at this day and age they need one. The rooms are small and nice. We haven’t looked at very many, but it’s fairly nice. There were a couple of people in the library, but I didn’t observe any other activities.

The Lodge at Natchez Trace was a brand new place. It was absolutely beautiful. Everything looked beautiful because it was brand new, but it was just too far for us. The rooms were wonderful. A lot of rooms have balconies, which is fine, but that kind of worried me a little bit for my mother-in-law. Also there weren't full at all, so it is hard to rate until you see all the people in there and see what's going on. The staff was very friendly, but I didn't really see any activities or anything going on.

The Lodge at Natchez Trace is a residential setting designed in the fashion of a country vacation home or cabin with the amenities of the old-time southern resorts.
