The management is non-responsive and never available when you need things. Do not respond to emails. They are understaffed for amount of residents but the number of residents leaving is large. Could be due to a rate lock they offered a few years ago. Seems most of those residents are being given 30 days notices to move out. Cleanliness has gone way down in resident rooms. Look behind beds, dressers, nightstands. Biggest thing is residents are not being cared for as should. Not bathed on a schedule like used to be and clothes smell even after washing. Wheelchairs and walkers never cleaned. Since management changed about a year ago, the facility and care has been bad. I do not recommend this facility.

Oakview Park was very spacious and very open. The residents seemed happy. The staff who toured me around was very friendly and very open. They had outside courtyards. There were a few restaurants that were not far from this facility. The upkeep of this place was great.

I was impressed with Oakview Park. It's closer to my house. It's newer. There was one fee that covered all the stuff versus a lot of add-ons. It was just a flat fee. I like the one-story, just because my mom has some walking issues. It was smaller, so it was easier for her to navigate with her specific condition. Walking is a bigger issue for her. They had the best apartments for sure. You had a small sink and a small fridge. It was freshly painted. There were fresh carpets. From the newness of the room, Oakview Park had absolutely the freshest. The meals had selection. So you had an option of this or that, and that appealed to me. The food selection was better than others because it gave the people a choice. With regards to activities, they were watching TV and doing puzzles.

I toured Oakview Park. I liked it. It was nice. Everywhere was nice. In the front, people were coming in and out. These are patients that are coming out to see the sunset and that was good. They showed me where their PT was and where their OT was. Then they showed me an activities room where they get all kinds of activities. It seems like they do everything. The staff was telling me all the different activities they do. When I got there, it was about lunchtime, and they called the patients, and they were all walking into the dining room, and they seemed happy. They gave me a menu to show me what they had. Everybody seemed to be doing their job like talking to the patients, which is important to me. The lady that helped me, was very helpful, and informative and she knew what she was doing. The room that I looked at was furnished with the woman's furniture. The inside was really clean and so was the outside.

The staff at Oakview Park was wonderful. I got to meet a lot of the people that were there, and they were very friendly. It was all on one level, which was nice. The staff was very helpful. They were able to take their cat, which was a real plus. It was a good experience. I didn't try their food, but I saw it being prepared and it looked really good. They take them on outings, they have an activities room, they also had a full salon. They have everything that I feel like anyone would need. The building was very nice, and the outside grounds were nice to go sit in. It was just a good experience. They told me that when someone leaves a room, they completely redo it, like the paint, carpet because they don't want people to feel like they're using someone else's things. It was just very nice.

Oakview Park is a very nice facility. The staff I met was the person who gave me the tour, and I also met with two or three other people. I was impressed with it. It was just that the price was way out of my ballpark. I couldn't afford it. The dining area was very nice. The day that I toured it, they were getting ready for their Christmas event for the night. Upkeep was very good and the facility was probably only three or four years old.
