Describe the overall population of independent living residents at Summit Court. What is their average age? What are their favorite things to do?
average age is 77. They love to take a stroll around the cottages and play bridge, go to dinner and a movie, plays, apple picking, shopping, YMCA etc.
What places are nearby for independent living residents to enjoy?
We have the local YMCA, Anderson Univ. Local playhouse, restaurants, shopping, grocery stores, Lake Hartwell and Movie theaters, all within 5 miles of our community.
What are some recent off-site events that the community activity director at Summit Court has organized?
Apple picking, a play at the local theater, shopping, etc..
What transportation services does Summit Court offer to independent living residents?
We have transportation on Tuesdays and THursdays for Doctors Visits and scheduled trips to the grocery store
What makes the chef or dining program at Summit Court exceptional? What kind of menu can independent living residents expect?
We have a wide variety of options to choose from, Chef salad, homemade pimento-cheese, hamburger, hot dog and a standard menu with a choice of protein and vegetables. Grilled steak night and other fun treats are all apart of the experience.
What common areas are available for independent living residents?
We have a club house that is available for our residents to reserve for parties or family gatherings, socials etc.
What safety features or security measures does Summit Court offer to independent living residents?
over thirty five lights throughout, local sheriff patrols area, life alert and dead bolts.
If Summit Court accepts dogs or cats, what indoor/outdoor areas can they enjoy?
yes we do except dogs and cats under 25 lbs. All cottages have a back yard with a patio, that is great for our furry friends.
Does Summit Court work with an agency or registry to provide nursing and medical assistance as needed?
Yes , SC House Calls. We also have a multitude of Home health agencies that we work closely with, if one of our residents, should have a need.

Summit Court, an Independent Living community, offers 16 cottages in a serene setting surrounded by lush forestry. A well-landscaped common area with picnic tables, a gazebo and BBQ grill brings residents together for fun and fellowship. Homes boast attached garages, stackable washers and dryers, full-sized kitchen appliances, fireplaces and plenty of storage for the ultimate in senior living. Bi-weekly housekeeping services allow residents plenty of quality time to get out and shop, dine and be entertained.
