I live at Ann's Choice independently. They have assisted living and memory care and all that stuff in a separate building. I've been here 19 years. It's wonderful. Their campus can't be met by anybody else and I'm not the only one saying that. I've talked to new people entering, and they're saying they had visited four or five facilities, and once they saw Ann's Choice, they'd say, "It was so beautiful." If you come in the summertime, it's like going to a park. It's a big campus, beautifully maintained, with gardens and walkways. For those of us who like outdoor experiences, it can't be beat. In the summertime with my mobile chair, I'm able to get out and go all around. It has its own pharmacy, bank, and medical offices on campus, open five days a week. They bring in outside people like cardiologists, dermatologists, and podiatrists. The medical part is also quite good. The security is wonderful. We're well fed and I love my apartment. I'm going to hate to give it up if I have to. There are three restaurants, a cafeteria, plus a bistro. Sometimes, I get an excellent meal at one of the restaurants, and sometimes not. The employees are very good. If something breaks down, you call general services and they are well organized, prompt, and generally efficient, and the employees seem to enjoy working here. They're pleasant people. People are amazed when they find out how many activities are available. They're the best dollar value. When we moved in, we bought our apartment, and should our kids move to California and we wanted to go that way, we would get full reimbursement 100% of what we had put into it. Since we have been here, people who buy into an apartment are only offered a 90% return should they want to move to Chicago or wherever, but you can't beat that.

My parents moved into Ann's Choice. It's a comprehensive level of care. They supply a refrigerator. You have to bring your own microwave. The staff members were excellent, very caring, and responsive. They have activities. The only issue is the food.

My parents lived in Ann's Choice. It's very, very upscale and very nice. It's a beautiful community. They moved in there when they were in their 70s and they lived independently. The place had beautiful apartments, restaurants, hairdressers, a gym, and all that sort of stuff. When my mother became debilitated, she moved into the nursing care facility right there. It was nice because then my dad could go and visit, eat lunch with her, and spend time with her. It was within walking distance for him to go there. After she passed away, he moved into a smaller apartment. The people buy the apartments. He went into their assisted living facility and he was there for about a year and a half. It was during COVID. It was pretty tough because we couldn't visit, but they took good care of him. He had excellent care there. It was excellent all the way through. The staff was very amenable. Any time I had a question or concern, they were great. We ate there several times and the food was very good. They had people come in to sing or to play different games and stuff. They tried to keep people engaged as much as possible.

My Father in Law spent several awful months in the Memory Care unit. The floor was consistently understaffed, calls from family went ignored, care was minimal at best negligent at worst. The people on this floor require dedicated, patient care and they are not getting anything close to that. I truly believe his time in the unit hastened his death. I would highly recommend in home care rather than this alternative.

GREAT ADVERTISEMENTS....BUT, WHEN YOU GET THERE THE TRUTH WILL BE TOLD. THE FOOD SERVED IS IN A SPIRALING DOWN SLOPE. IT HAS REACHED THE POINT OF SERVING GARBAGE. MANAGEMENT HAS LOST THEIR INSIGHT FOR QUALITY AND LOOKING TO SERVE AS CHEAP AS POSSIBLE. PRACTICALLY EVERYTHING SERVED HAS SOME TYPE OF PORK ADDED IN. SOME ETHNIC GROUPS CANNOT EAT PORK AND THEY RECEIVE NO OTHER OPTION. ANNE'S CHOICE IS INSULTING MANY VALUED CUSTOMERS . BEWARE BEFORE CHOOSING ANNE' CHOICE.

We were hopeful for my relative to move here from an Independent Living apartment and get the care that she needed. But she did not. She actually received more attention and care from her home health aides at her previous place. The care is very quick, basic and inconsistent. Sometimes her bed would have no sheets on it when she wanted to lay down for a nap. Her medications were always late and from what I could tell they only had one nurse on staff for two big floors. She had set days to receive help with showering and many times was skipped. Some of her other medical needs went unnoticed by the staff. There doesn't seem to be any sort of system or regulations here. Very disorganized and hasty. A stressful experience for my whole family.
