I visited Simpson House. I liked the location and the different activities they have. They had a lot of community rooms, a gym, and a workout facility. It was really nice. The guy who I met with was part of their care team, and he was really nice, and the receptionist was nice. They showed me a room layout. It had everything new, like the marble countertops and dishwasher. They had one- and two-bedroom units. They had washers and dryers. They had a restaurant in there and they serve three meals a day with your stay there. It was part of your bill. They also had an alternate restaurant, and they change the menu for a slight cost. It wasn't expensive. You can cook your meals if you choose to. They had meeting rooms, like if you wanted to have a party, if you wanted a guest, or if they want to throw a birthday party for you. They have TV rooms and movie rooms. They had a lot to offer. They were immaculate.

I had a friend who lives in Simpson House. The place was great. I've been there for birthday dinners and different things that are going on. It's a nice place. The care is good. You can have a one-bedroom apartment or you can have a studio apartment, which was all laid out nicely. They have a large dining hall, entertainment, a church, and everything was built right in the place. The courtesy from the desk people was great when you went in the door. Food is good, too.

My husband is in the Simpson House. I'm very unhappy with where he is now. I don't know what their vacancy rate is, but they just seem intent on keeping him. He's been there for over a month now, and it's supposed to give him intensive therapy. They said he can't walk without personal assistance. He didn't feel that was true. He felt he could, but they hover over him. He said it makes him so nervous, like they're ready to grab him any second. I've never met the staff. He says they're very friendly, but he doesn't like the way they hover over him. He said the food is fine. I've only been in the entrance area. You have to make an appointment, and they don't take you to his room. He sits in a wheelchair all day long. he gets a television that doesn't get the baseball games. My husband feels they're not very open with them. They give him no information. They give me no information. The doctor sees him, but I don't know his name. You have to make arrangements during the week to actually see him. I think it's a really deadly situation as far as keeping someone vibrant.

I have been a resident at Simpson House for five months and my experience here has exceeded my expectations. It is a warm friendly atmosphere, very clean and safe. The food is of good quality, varied and fresh. There are many social activities. The staff is outstanding. Requests are addressed promptly. Amenities include hair salon, movie theater, very large library, 2 exercise rooms with varied machines. Also medical care is available on a 24 hour basis. I have visited many facilities and this one was the best that I encountered

I went to Simpson House. I looked at what turned out to be an efficiency and a one-bedroom. It's near the place where my wife is. It looked very nice and the residents seemed very nice also. I would prefer to have a balcony, but they didn't have one available. The staff was very, very pleasant, and very helpful. I've seen a library, I've seen a movie theater, I've seen the cafeteria or some kind of a restaurant because some of the programs you get three free meals a day, and some of them you only get one free meal a day. I've seen computers, I've seen some sitting areas near outdoor greenery areas, which to me is a very high plus, because I liked the greenery areas.

I went to Simpson House and I inquired about long-term residence for my mom and independent living for myself. The apartments were nice. The halls were quite small, so I'm not sure how you get your furniture in there, but it was really nice. It had a nice atmosphere. The staff was very cordial and very informative. They seem to do pretty much everything, but they have a wait list and the cost is a bit steep. Other than that, it was pretty good.
