I am/was a resident of this facility

I'm at Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home Community. I like it. It's very nice, and it's very comfortable. The people are friendly. There is a lot to do. The staff is great. They have a theater. They have what they call the Avenue of the Arts where you can go in and work on anything you want to work on like I work on my paint. They have a library, and they have a game room where you can play cards and play games like rummy cubes and dominoes. They also take trips. I have two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a den, a living room, and a kitchen. The room is fine. It's very nice. It's a good place to be. I miss my house, but everybody is very friendly. I've been here for three months. They're very outgoing. They're just very nice people, warm and friendly.

We visited Cross Keys, which is a very good community. It has more of a hospital setting compared to the other community we picked. The person who assisted me was in charge of the dementia part of the community, she's very good, and accommodating.

The Brethren Home (Cross Keys Village the Brethren Home Community) was very clean and the staff is very courteous, professional, and attentive. The rooms were very well-kept and nothing was amiss. My mother was there for short term rehab. They had programs where some young people came in and did some course presentation. The grounds are beautifully kept and it's very peaceful and inspiring for healing. My mother also said the food is very good.

I can’t find anything wrong with Cross Keys Village. They’re friendly. The staff is excellent. The place is very clean, well kept, and orderly. There’s a lot going on all the time, like walking and hiking, games, speakers, artists, and all kinds of field trips. They can improve on food and have more options. I’m very happy to have found it.

Right now I am not pleased with Cross Keys Village, but there has been some new management taking over, so I am hopeful for it to get better. The rooms were excellent, but the staff left him fall several times which was uncalled for. He has severe dementia, and at this moment I am not pleased, but hopefully things will get better. They have all activities imaginable, but he has not participated in any activities since June. As far as the rooms, it's very clean, but I just expected a little better care.

Cross Keys Village was very good. The staff's work attitude was very outgoing. They were explaining everything and answering any questions we had. It was a wonderful experience. We saw two properties that we were looking at. We were looking for independent living and these were like cottages.

My first impression of Cross Keys was that it was good. They offered different levels of care. They have independent living, assisted living, and advanced care. They also have exercise equipment and a swimming pool. We had a meal when we went there, and it was fine. We looked an apartment there, and it was about the same size of the house we are living in now.

I visited this facility

We went to a place called Cross Keys. It's very large and appears to be very well-run. It's run by the Brethren, and they have a pretty nice facility. I think they have something like 300 or 400 acres. They have stand-alone homes and multiple homes; they have the whole gamut. They had a swimming pool, three restaurants, and a bank. It's like a regular community. We had a meal with them. The meal was very fine; it was very well-done. The staff appeared to all be very genial and very helpful, as only a sales staff can do. Cross Keys has many, many amenities. It's just a really, very well-done place. We've recommended it to a couple of people to go look at it, and it has a pretty good reputation in this area.

This facility is large but had a lot of outstanding resources. They are actively trying to make it more homelike and meet resident preferences. It is extremely clean and well kept.

My mother was a very difficult case. Perhaps no more than any other, speaking from an emotional standpoint, but she had a plethora of medical problems that compounded each other over many decades. The Brethren home in/outside of Hanover Pa is run by a very dedicated group of people who always have patience when it comes to helping people who need it. They were a godsend in very difficult times. My mother had to keep bouncing from one nursing home to another, and when she was at the Brethren Home she was stabilized for a longer period of time than at any other.
