I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I moved my cousin today to Alexandria Manor. It was a pleasant experience to visit. They were very thorough. The place was very clean. The people were very caring. It just had a very nice, homey atmosphere. I thought that he would be happy there. They provide excellent care. When we toured, we felt like it was the place to go. Sometimes you have a feeling about places and sometimes you don't; I had a great feeling for this particular place. The staff was thorough, professional, and caring. There's quite a bit included in the monthly payment; that was one of the things that drew me to them. They have a salon, outside courtyards, and activities for the residents.

My mother-in-law is at Alexandria Manor. They're doing a great job the best they can given her circumstances. We're really not interactive with them. We're not allowed to go see her or the place or anything because of Covid. She doesn't complain, but we haven't seen her room. She said the food is really good. We haven't had any interaction with the staff.

My mother is at Alexandria Manor, I liked it very much, and the staff look extremely helpful. The rooms are nice, not lavish, but very livable. They seem to have an active social program for the residents. The dining area seemed like a family dining area, the residents seemed happy and content, and they seemed to like the food. The food seemed very good, very appetizing, and very nutritious.

My mother and father were residents in Alexandria Manor - Nazareth in the past year. The staff and administration was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were spacious. On-site occupational and physical therapies were available. They were very happy at Alexandria Manor and enjoyed all the activities i.e. bingo, pokeeno, bocce, bean bags, chair exercise, sing-a-longs and other musical entertainment available to them. The facility made my parents feel like they were part of their family. My parents had excellent care at this facility and I would recommend it to anyone.

I've known the management since 2007, and I've worked with them and have seen their care and compassion for residents. The rooms are an average size and its a good option for those who need quality care at an affordable rate. It is family owned which is a plus nowadays. Most of the staff is very helpful and courteous.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

A friend of mine staying there is not properly taken care of properly,. He is diabetic and has many other health issues. When he fell they would not help him to his feet, they did not help him with a dental problem when he had severe pain,He almost lost his life twice because of lack of correct service, appointments with physicians are mismanaged. Judging by what I have been told, I would not recommend those you care for to be placed here. I understand that one woman complain to the staff that her mother had the same clothes on for three days.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

Alexandria Manor is a beautiful, very elegant, and well-furnished place. It’s clean, and my aunt and uncle have a nice suite with furniture and a full-size refrigerator in a kitchenette provided. It’s a very nice place, but they just don’t socialize. The rooms are spacious and include a nice bathroom, a table, a wardrobe, and a single bed, not a hospital bed. They eat their main meal there, but they don’t want to eat their breakfast and lunch, so they send my husband and me to the grocery store every week to buy snacks. They don’t like to have the lunch and breakfast food. They said that the coffee is cold, but they are very weird. It seems very adequate to me. It’s just that they want to do their own thing. The staff need to improve communications with us and with the description of the plan. Everyone was very nice and try to bend over backwards; my aunt and uncle are not the friendliest people.

I have a 95-year-old uncle who had been in Alexandria Manor. It was OK, but their assessment level was poor. My uncle had an infection in his foot that they never caught and it resulted in him having an amputation. His room he had been an office, and there was no bell for them to ring, so they had given him a subsitute bell that didn’t work. It took a while to adjust, but they did and worked with me. It was a lovely place, but not for really ill people. The food was excellent. I think their activities were OK, but my uncle didn’t participate.

I visited this facility

I toured Alexandria Manor in Nazareth where my mother was born and raised, and it was close to where we live. I was amazed by how big the rooms were. The activities were very good. Everything was wonderful.

My mother-in-law is in Alexandria Manor. She's been doing fine there. Their accommodations are very nice and very affordable. Their hallways are nice and wide with no obstructions and navigable for people with walkers. The rooms are of a very good size and well taken care of. I know that they have activities going on. They need to improve on checking the residents more frequently.

My mother received excellent care at this facility. They were a fabulous value for the money. They were very attentive to her needs. The food is not gourmet, but my Mom did not mind. For people on a budget it is a great option.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

They call themself assisted living, but they're so understaffed that they just can't deliver it out. There's all these residents and nobody says anything there. I'm the only one that voices anything over that place. They have like 80 residents there. I don't know how many people they employ, but they seem to be understaffed. The residents there pull that little chain when they need help. Maybe get up or off to the bathroom, and they pull it for an hour. That is not reasonable! That's how it's supposed to work, you pull the chain and the nurse comes. It's unbelievable how they sit there before they actually get help! I think it's the level of response. The people there are not very responsive to the needs of their residents. If you read the reviews on this place, other people have the same problems. So I'm looking into getting my mother out. I'm now looking for a place with more staff to give my mother the care she needed. Also, the residents have absolutely no say as to what they're going to eat. There's no option. Salami salad is put on the table and either you eat it or you just don't, that's the end of the story. This is something that I really didn't look into close enough. It's just wrong. I don't care what, but that's wrong! They're obligated to get at that table and eat. Well, what they have to eat is a big deal. She's 89 years old and she's got to be respected. She can't even pick out what she wants to eat. Come on! I didn't have any problem with the staff actually, I just didn't agree well on their tactics. I'm not saying it's a terrible place, but I think they really need just a little bit more compassion for the old people as to what they have to eat and stuff. It's a clean facility, there's no doubt about that. They do help her but it's very limited.
