I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Place is kept clean. Attention to residence is poor. Not enough staff to patient ratio. Not enough activities to keep patients interested and stimulated. Minimal to no activities in Alzheimers unit. Not enough space for azhimer patients to roam. Not enough supervision in Alzheimer Unit. Patients are allowed to wander from room to room and take things that belong to other patients. Food service is extremely slow and staff is not adequate to give the attention to each patient that they require.

I am/was a resident of this facility

Clean, beautiful, good staff to patient ratio, caring highly efficient staff. Inncredibley good food, accommodate any diet, I am/was on cardiac, diabetic and renal. Still plenty of meal and snack choices. Big appetites are able to add portions to their trays. Staff seems to anticipate your every daily need with smiling faces.

I visited this facility

The rooms at Sugar Creek Station were like hospital rooms. It was awful. The residents were all jammed into a room to eat at the Alzheimer?s unit. I would not put my mother in there. I would not want to live there myself. The facility is old and depressing.

I visited this facility

I visited Sugar Creek Station last year, during the time that my father-in-law was a resident. I remember the first time I went there. It is a large facility and I wondered how I would find him. As I walked in the door, there was a large, welcoming sitting area. There was a stand right inside the door and on it was a book-which listed all the residents in alphabetical order. I had no trouble finding his name and room number. As we came to the end of that room, there were signs, which clearly marked which way to go to find the rooms. Whenever we passed employees in the hall, they were very friendly and asked me if I needed any assistance. One of the things that I appreciated about this facility was the cleanliness. It did not smell like a hospital nor were there any other bad smells. The walls shone, and it seemed a happy place. There were pictures taken with the residents doing some of the activities that were provided for them to do. As we passed the dining room, I was impressed with how much like a dining room it looked and not like a cafeteria. The nurses were very helpful and went the extra mile to help the patients. I was not happy that my father-on-law had to be there-away from his home-but I felt comforted by the fact that he was in such a nice place.
