I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My brother is in Vintage Knolls. We chose it because it's close to the hospital where he frequents. It's sort of more rustic. It's more his style. He's not a fancy kind of guy. He doesn't need a lot of frills and things like other places. The staff was wonderful. We met the sales representative, the nurse, and the chef, and she said they prepare all the food there on the premises. We thought that was good and they all ate together. It's a small community, too, and they transport him to places that he needs to go. It's been a nice facility for him. He's supposed to be doing some rehab, but he said they're doing some renovation in the place, so he's not able to continue with physical therapy at this time. The facility looks very clean. He has his own room and they provided a bed and a dresser. It has a full bath and he was pleased about that because he said he hadn't had a full shower in about six weeks. They took him to Wal-Mart. Everything looked very nice. The price seems higher than other facilities or somewhat the same. I think it's a great facility, especially for men.

I visited this facility

My visit to Vintage Knolls was really good. The staff who attended to me during the tour was excellent. The rooms seem very nice and accommodating, and my mom is going to be transferred there today. It was nice and clean. The people answered my questions and were very accommodating for everything. It seems like a good fit for my mother. The food, the dining, and everything seemed to be right in line with my mom's expectations. They have plastic partitions on the tables for the diners, and the food menu looked to be what my mom would like, so it seems to be pretty good for her. They do everything that they can do.

I visited this facility

Vintage Knolls is a two story building. It is old, but the staff is very personable. We ate there and my mom loved the meal. They have a porch on the second floor where you can see the river. My mom really liked it. We were there for a couple of hours, and they couldn't have been nicer. I would have no qualms recommending this community.

I visited this facility

I wasn't too impressed with Vintage Knolls. It had a congested feeling and was super impersonal. The rooms were very nice, definitely adequate and clean. They had some really nice areas for relaxing. It was an older building, so it's not as bright or cheerful. The tour was not as well-organized and they had a new employee take us around who was very nice but didn't have a lot of knowledge.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom is living in Vintage Knolls. The atmosphere is welcoming and the place has three different sizes of rooms so you have a choice. I like the structure because the hallways are quite wide. There are big, wide verandas on the second level, so folks can sit outside and enjoy the weather. There are multiple sitting areas. For example, in the great room there's a large dining table for family to have dinner with the residents. Their work attitude is OK and it seems like they're all med techs. The director of wellness is very nice, sweet, and professional, but it seems that communication among staff members is questionable. When I toured the facility and met with the administrative staff, I really liked them all. I really think that they care about the residents. For the most part they really care for the residents, but I think they're very understaffed. There are a lot of puzzles and they play Bingo, but activities could be better.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I am in Vintage Knolls, and the rooms are very nice. You have your choice of small, medium, or large-sized rooms, and I chose the medium. I participate in bingo. Overall, it’s nice, but I am not satisfied with the food.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My parents are at Vintage Knolls. It is a small facility with approximately 55 residents. They have wonderful staff. The facility is clean. My parents are in what's considered to be a suite. It has a large handicapped-accessible bathroom and shower. It has an up-to-date heat and air conditioning unit, and it is exceptionally clean. They have manicurists, hair stylists, and podiatrists. They have daily exercise and bingo.

My wife went to Vintage Knolls -- which is not too far -- and she seems to be doing OK. It’s very new, very clean, and modern, and the facility is beautiful. The meals they get are very good. The people that are there have been very helpful to my wife in adjusting to being somewhere else. They have exercises; they take them out on some excursions. They have groups that come in and sing. She enjoys being around other people. Her room is fairly large. It’s a single room that has a bathroom in it, 2 closets, and a couple of windows. It’s a large enough room that she doesn’t feel like she’s cramped in there. The great rooms and the activity rooms are all very nicely appointed. All in all, it meets her needs for now.

I visited this facility

The rooms in Vintage Knolls appeared to be roomier. The hallways were brighter. The staff was fine, and people made an effort to talk to us. Their dining area was also fine.
