I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

In the spring 2021 our families determined the need for assisted living for our parents. We chose Newhaven in Butler from the experiences others shared and observing the good care and services they provided. At that time we moved all four of our parents to Newhaven Butler. They were able to get involved with the programs, activities and appreciate the convenience of meals, medicine distribution and services offered at the facility. As changes in care were needed the wellness staff recommended and implemented the increased services required. The entire staff have always been pleasant, patient and quick to resolve any issues. The meal service staff also accommodated for special dietary needs. We appreciate the care, concern, patience and services provided by Newhaven Butler. The Newhaven staff also partnered well with hospice care when needed and still provide excellent care for our surviving parents.

My uncle has been a resident of Newhaven Court at Clearview for over a year. He needed assisted living after suffering a mild stroke and was unable to go home living by himself. The staff was very accommodating to his needs in his transition to his type of living. The staff checked on him often during the first few days and has kept me informed of any issue that developed. Their on-site physical therapy company continued to work with him for which he improved from a wheelchair to a walker. I am also happy with the services they provide. They have a podiatrist that comes in often for foot care issues. A doctor that will give general check-ups. Also they offer vaccines for flu and covid and maybe more. The local Catholic Church has rosery and Communion twice a week which he looks forward to. The location is ideal for I take him out to go shopping and out to eat often at the local stores and restaurants.

Can't say enough about the people that work there. There is never a question about whether my aunt is receiving anything she might need. Moving to Newhaven Court at Clearview is the best decision that she and I made for the benefit of her needs.

Dementia is a brutal diagnosis but an all too familiar one for so many. Making the decision to transition a parent to a memory care unit was agonizing and heartbreaking . I am so grateful to all the staff at New Haven Court at Clearview to make that heartfelt decision an easier road to walk and not alone. From the receptionists that are so friendly and welcoming when you enter the community to every single person I encountered since I first started searching for a caring home community for my father over a year ago, I have found it to be a caring, loving community. Everyone working together for the good and well being of every family member. My father has everything thing he needs there 24/7. So much more than I could give him at home. Trying to do that in his home single handedly was overwhelming and exhausting. Now it is a pleasure to see all his needs met and beyond. I can enjoy spending time with him as his daughter again .

I visited this facility

We toured Newhaven Court at Clearview. Part of it I liked and part of it I didn't. It's kind of expensive, but it's a beautiful place. The staff during the tour was very nice and very knowledgeable. They had courtyards. The upkeep of the place was very good. It's near a mall, and there are some restaurants nearby, too. Some rooms were very spacious and some were small.

We put my mom in Newhaven Court At Clearview. I like the facility. I like the person that we met with. He was very, very professional. The place is very clean, and the people are very nice. My mom has been there for about a month and a half now. I have seen their exercise room, salon, and courtyard. My mom's room is very accommodating. Her furniture fits in. The dining area is very nice. It looks like a restaurant.

I visited this facility

Newhaven Court at Clearview is wonderful. It's different in that the other place is very homey and small, whereas Newhaven is a lot bigger, but it's very nice. I don't have anything negative to say about the facility. The rooms are very typical. They have a lot more variety of choices than the other place. They have a studio, a one-bedroom, a one-bedroom deluxe, and a one-bedroom deluxe two. They have more choices for the apartment situation. The staff was wonderful. The lady I talked with there was Tracy. They have four levels of care, which is not something my mom needs at this point. They were renovating quite a few of the rooms, and it was just nice. The areas are broken into different names of trees, and the area we saw was the Spruce area. It probably has six apartments there, and in each of the sections there's a large community room with a really nice couch and puzzle setup, and that's in every single area of their facility. It's very pretty. They're running a special, and for any level of apartment or unit, it's going to be the studio price, so she can get the biggest one at the studio price, but that won't always be.

I went to Newhaven Court at Clearview. It is very nice. So far the staff is very nice. We're just in the process of trying to get my mom moved in so there's a lot of things that we haven't gotten to see yet. It is very, very clean, close to home, and just a very clean environment.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents have individually lived in senior care for the past 8 years. My mother lived for a short time in assisted living and then moved to the memory care neighborhood at Newhaven. Mom's move to memory care was the most wonderful gift we could have given her. Hesitant at first to move her, the staff met with us multiple times, compassionately and factually outlining Mom's strengths, struggles, and needs, leading us to try the memory care neighborhood. We were amazed to watch Mom IMPROVE in her new community, making friends, participating, enjoying life - things we would have never believed possible. Her quality of life was raised to the highest level possible for her. She delighted in her friends, her lovely home, and the focus on things she could do, not on things she could not do. No situation is without some challenges, however, from the director through his wonderful nurses and staff, we all worked together to give Mom the best life possible. When concerns arose, we always were met promptly and always, always felt as if our concerns were the most important things the staff had to deal with. So, last spring when it was time to consider a move for Dad, the hardestpart was done. Nowhere but Newhaven was even considered. Dad lives independently in his apartment at Newhaven, enjoying the people, the meals, the activities. While Dad's situation, and personality, is vastly different from Mom's, the staff has again demonstrated their adaptability by tailoring his plan uniquely to him. The facility is beautiful - a place where people are proud to live and visit. Quality is evident in the building, the food, the common areas, and most important of all, the people. When your loved one lives at Newhaven Court, they do not live with employees, they live with family - people who care for them as if you were doing it yourself. When leaving Newhaven after a visit, I have no misgivings, I have complete peace of mind.

Newhaven Court was wonderful. They weren't aware that I was coming, but they put together a tour and were very kind. However, it was far away from relatives, and there were very few single rooms. The doubles wouldn't give Mom much privacy. The staff was tremendously nice, especially since I wasn't expected. They had a very nice program. One of the things that really stood out was they had a private dining room for family to eat with the residents. They also had a large activity room for family reunions. The price was comparable to others.

My mom is in Newhaven, and it looks like a bed and breakfast or a little vacation resort. They offer a lot of things for entertainment and amenities, like a little gym, an activity room, a nice courtyard to walk in, and things like that. The staff is all kind and knowledgeable. It’s a little far away but worth it.

My mother is in Newhaven Court at Clearview, and so far, everything has been pretty good. The staff seems pretty nice, and everything seems to be working out. She has been in there for a couple of weeks now. She is in the memory-care unit, so it's a locked unit.

They're fairly good. I wouldn't give Newhaven Court super high marks, but they're fairly decent. It does have a dementia unit. My mom's comfortable.
