Marlyn 2017-10-23 Village on the Park was a very nice place, but a little bit costly for my brother. We ate lunch there, and the food was excellent. The person who assisted us during the tour was very helpful. There were residents gathered around singing gospel music, old hymns, and so forth. However, my brother said everything going on was just too much for him. That's one of the main things that turned him against it. I visited this facility

What they offer is good, and they have a lot of activities every day, plus a limo that takes the residents wherever they need to go. The food is great. All the residents that I have talked to have been there for multiple years and love it. My parents' apartment is large enough for the two of them, and the place takes care of any maintenance. Eual 2019-02-25 Village on the Park's staff was super and very nice. The freedom you have there is what I like. You can eat anytime from 7:00 in the morning to 6:30 at night, and that impressed me. They have exercise equipment and they give you certain days when they can help you with that. They have a lot of amenities that are available to people. They keep the place clean and it smelled good. They make you feel really at home. I visited this facility

I'm more into sewing and bible studies, and that's the thing I liked about the Village. Cleanliness was very good, and they have a good dining room, but you either have to drive around to it or you walk to it, and I have a hard time walking. They take you to doctors around the community, and they provide a lot of good services. I visited this facility

In fact, there was a lady there whom I used to work with, and she was wonderful. I wanted to live there. The rooms were adequate. They were small, but I understood they were going to be small. They would change the carpet every time there was a change of resident, so I was very impressed with that. I thought the rooms were nice. Everything was perfect, other than that it didn't have storm shelters. That's huge in Oklahoma City, especially South Oklahoma City. I visited this facility

Most of residents had Alzheimer’s, some were in wheelchairs and some had walkers and some did not. They seemed to be content there as far as the people could be content. I visited this facility

The community is very nice, and my parents like it. It is clean, and the people are friendly. They actually have cottages there, and they are of a nice size. They take trips to casinos, and they have trips to the grocery stores, to medications, and toappointments. They also have a garage in the condos so you can have a car if you need to. They have patio type homes; it's a very nice facility. They have lots of things for people to do, limousine service two or three days a week to different things that they took people to, one or two bedrooms, and facilities for the family. If you are a resident and you have family coming in, they have free rooms for the family. They have laundry facilities and lots of planned activities, and I was very impressed by it. Caring35031750 2014-11-11 Every time I have been at Duncan Village, the staff was great. My friends have said they were really satisfied there and that they did enjoy it. We have a Seniors on the Go, and my daughter goes to that all the time and one of the visitors that came and talked was from the Village on the Park. She was there and then talked to her afterwards so that she told her we were wanting to make a visit, and she said that’s fine anytime. The staff was wonderful; it was very nice, very clean, and attractive. You have to wait for openings, and I guess you would have to take whatever opening came -- you wouldn’t have a choice for the rooms -- but the rooms that I have seen were adequate but my friends said it didn’t bother them. I want to have one that has a back door because I would want to take my little dog with me as they allow pets. They do have games night and day, the dining room was very attractive, nice, and well-lit, and it was certainly spacious. It was very friendly, and it felt like you were at home. They have a good interaction with my dad, attending to his needs and seem to be respectful of him. They have two choices to choose from for their food. Trina 2019-11-01 I moved my mom into Village on the Park. One of the reasons I ended up choosing them is because they had an opening. I really like them. I like the room. It is a smaller place. It is one long hallway with the common area in the middle. I feel they could keep a better eye on the residents there. The food is excellent. Two days after my mom was there, she got to go to the state fair. She had a really good time. They have scheduled activities posted on the wall on a big board. They bring in arts, they bring in science, they do manicures, they sing, and they have somebody come in and play the piano. So far I have been very happy with it. Also, it was the least expensive place. My mom is in a shared room and it is pretty good value. I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I visited this facility

Village on the Park was a very nice place, but a little bit costly for my brother. We ate lunch there, and the food was excellent. The person who assisted us during the tour was very helpful. There were residents gathered around singing gospel music, old hymns, and so forth. However, my brother said everything going on was just too much for him. That's one of the main things that turned him against it.

Provider Response

One of the great things about Village on the Park is that you get to choose what activities you participate in. You have the privacy of your own apartment, but anytime you want to visit or see what's going on, you just have to walk down the hallway and can join in the fun. You are not required to do anything if you don't wish.

My parents are already in Village on the Park. It's wonderful and clean. They love it there. The staff is nice. What they offer is good, and they have a lot of activities every day, plus a limo that takes the residents wherever they need to go. The food is great. All the residents that I have talked to have been there for multiple years and love it. My parents' apartment is large enough for the two of them, and the place takes care of any maintenance.

The cottage in Village on the Park is small, but it has a garage, they're pet friendly, and the activities were more what I would be more involved in. I was very impressed with Village on the Park at Oklahoma City. The atmosphere was wonderful. The staff was very helpful and very friendly. In fact, there was a lady there whom I used to work with, and she was wonderful. I wanted to live there. The rooms were adequate. They were small, but I understood they were going to be small. They would change the carpet every time there was a change of resident, so I was very impressed with that. I thought the rooms were nice. Everything was perfect, other than that it didn't have storm shelters. That's huge in Oklahoma City, especially South Oklahoma City.

Village on the Park was very nice. It was an older facility, but it was very nice. The staff was nice and friendly, though we did not see many. Most of residents had Alzheimer’s, some were in wheelchairs and some had walkers and some did not. They seemed to be content there as far as the people could be content.

We choose Village on the Park because my parents decide that's what they want. They have the independent living, the memory care, and the assisted living all in one place. The community is very nice, and my parents like it. It is clean, and the people are friendly. They actually have cottages there, and they are of a nice size. They take trips to casinos, and they have trips to the grocery stores, to medications, and toappointments. They also have a garage in the condos so you can have a car if you need to.

I moved my mom into Village on the Park. One of the reasons I ended up choosing them is because they had an opening. I really like them. I like the room. It is a smaller place. It is one long hallway with the common area in the middle. I feel they could keep a better eye on the residents there. The food is excellent. Two days after my mom was there, she got to go to the state fair. She had a really good time. They have scheduled activities posted on the wall on a big board. They bring in arts, they bring in science, they do manicures, they sing, and they have somebody come in and play the piano. So far I have been very happy with it. Also, it was the least expensive place. My mom is in a shared room and it is pretty good value.

About Village on the Park - Oklahoma City

Village on the Park is a beautiful community that offers Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. Our Independent Living is like a "Cruise Ship on Land". We are all inclusive of 3 meals daily, basic cable, weekly housekeeping, limo service, activities, weekly field trips and much more! There is someone at our community 24 hours a day to assist residents and for emergencies. Our Assisted Living is a small community of 19 apartments that has its own dining room and activities. Memory Care has 13 private apartments and 4 shared apartments in a secured community with their own activities and staff. Both Assisted Living and Memory care are staffed 24 hours a day with CNA's and CMA's and our LPN is here 7 days a week from 8-5.

What Makes Us Special

Once you are at Village on the Park, you are family! Our residents really watch out for each other, it's a great buddy system! We watch out for our residents and have the staff that is very familiar with residents to help them with anything we can on a daily basis. We like to get to know the families as well and when we notice a difference in a resident, we will let the families know about our concerns.
