My brother moved into The Waterford at Fairfield. I like the fact that everything is included. The staff members are just wonderful. My brother is in a larger one-bedroom apartment. It's unfurnished, but it's very nice and clean. It has natural light that comes into the room. They provide large appliances, like a stove and a refrigerator. But for the small appliances, you can bring your own. They provide two meals a day. I asked about the meals, and they seemed to be quite satisfied. They have quite a bit of activities, and they give you a monthly calendar, so you would know when all of the different activities are happening and gatherings for watching sports and things like that. They have exercises going on, bingo, puzzles, and other things that physically and mentally keep them alive and alert.

The Waterford at Fairfield was very, very nice, but my brother couldn't afford it. They did not have any rooms to show us at that time. We just talked to the lady in charge, and we knew that my brother could not afford it, so we weren't shown around that much, but we did see the lobby and the outside of it. I could tell it was very nice. It was very clean and up-to-date. The staff was very nice, friendly, very outgoing, and she gave us information. She was very good. Everything was provided like food, heating, and air. The staff said there was a beauty salon and an exercise room, a room where you can watch TV, a dining room, and all that. I saw one lady and I asked her how she liked it there and she said she liked it and it was very nice. The outside was taken care of very well. The paint on the building was really good. The landscaping was taken care of.

Provider Response

Thank you for the five-star rating! If anything changes with your brother's finances, we would love to have him live at The Waterford.

I wasn't impressed with The Waterford at Fairfield. Several residents passed in the hallway when the staff was taking me to the unit, and she never spoke to them. She was very unfriendly. I didn't get a good feeling. The apartment was fine. The grounds were OK, but the place is mostly surrounded by businesses and I didn't care for that. It's not my cup of tea. The staff seemed knowledgeable. I just don't think she's very personable. The dining area was very nice. They had a couple of nice features. You could use the dining room like a private dining room for a party and that was very nice. They have a very nice and big library. The staff didn't explain much of the activities, but she told me that we couldn't go into the one room because they were playing bingo there. I think they could be a little bit more personable with their residents. if I was living there, I would like to be acknowledged when you pass me in the hallway.

Provider Response

Thank you for taking a tour of our beautiful community.

I will be moving into The Waterford at Fairfield. It's centrally located for my family, and it's a beautiful place. When we walked in, we were greeted nicely. All the patients there would say hi. They gave us a great tour. I just love the atmosphere. The staff was great. She was the best one I've ever had. The dining area was beautiful, nice, and clean. They have assigned seating, which I think I would really like. They were playing bingo and putting puzzles together. There were people in the library. They have computer classes that they were doing.

Provider Response

We appreciate your positive review about your recent experience with us! We hope to see you soon! Have a great day.

I liked The Waterford at Fairfield. It looked like they had a nice schedule of activities. It was very clean and newly remodeled. The common areas were very nice, but the bedroom was cramped. The bedroom that I saw was so very small, but it had a full kitchen. They had four laundry rooms in the building, and there was no charge to use the machine but you have to bring your own laundry supplies. The staff was very friendly and informative. They offer lunch and dinner, and they serve beverages mostly throughout the day.

Provider Response

Thank you again for taking the time to let us know how we did. We hope you have a great day! Thank you, and have a fantastic day!

The Waterford at Fairfield was open and had lots of activities. It's a little bit smaller than the other places I toured, so it's more compact. That's part of my impression. We saw the activities calendar, there's yoga, bingo, movie night, and there's Kroger shopping. There were lots of activities. Kristi was the staff who gave me the tour. She's very informative, very approachable, very personable, and very informed.

Provider Response

Lillian, Thank you for the kind words and it was a pleasure meeting you!!!

I liked the community of The Waterford at Fairfield independent living. The one thing I didn't like was the location because it's a little farther than where I want to be right now. They offer amenities and activities for the residents. The lady I toured with seemed very knowledgeable. Her name was Christie and she seemed to be a caring person. They have 24-hour staffing, Wi-Fi, and newspaper delivery. They have an exercise room, housekeeping and laundry services, and on-site beauty and barbershop. They offer on-site therapy and they have religious services. They also have restaurant-style meals served daily.

Provider Response

Gale, thank you for your kind words and this wonderful review!

My sister has moved into The Waterford at Fairfield. The facility is very nice, and it's decorated nicely. The staff is extremely helpful. So far, she's loving it. It's large and very clean. It's a 1-bedroom apartment. The staff is extremely helpful, very polite, and very nice to deal with. They have lots of activities; every day, they have something different. They just had their Super Bowl party. They do like manicures. They have a happy hour on Fridays. They have a library, exercise room, activities room, cooking display room, and salon.

Provider Response

Julia, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Waterford at Fairfield!

The Waterford at Fairfield is very clean. The people are very friendly, and they made her feel very welcome when my mother-in-law moved in. They have activities. They provide 2 meals a day. I worked in that industry for 20 some years, and we all know you can't please everybody with food. I don't know what it was, but the food always seemed to be an issue. My mother-in-law doesn't mind. She likes the food. They do housekeeping. The meals are included in the rent, all the utilities, WiFi, cable and everything. So that's the thing that we liked about it; it's pretty much all-inclusive. They have a calendar of activities.

The Waterford at Fairfield was pretty nice. I think it's about 20 years old. The location was great for us, but I didn't get to see much because they were restricted. The staff members I met were fine and seemed knowledgeable. What I saw seemed very nice, clean, and well-maintained.

My mom moved into The Waterford at Fairfield. We chose it because of its convenience for the family, what they offer for the cost, and the flexibility of having additional care. With the other ones, you have to pay one price and you would get like a handful of things that you might not need at that time. At this place, you can purchase monthly or even weekly. So if you're sick and you need help with medicine or bath, you can just purchase that weekly thing. So far, it seems great. My mom has only been in there for a couple of days, but she seems to be really happy with the food. We have visited it a couple of times, and the staff is really nice and helpful. The room is very clean and large. It's nicer than some of the other ones that we have looked at. She is happy so far. They don't have any activities because of Covid, but they're going to offer them when things start to open up and they would really be good.

The Waterford at Fairfield was nice. We couldn't go everywhere. We could see certain areas, but we couldn't go where the residents were. It was nice, but it was all in one building, and there was no garage. Everybody was very nice there, the facility was very clean, and the staff was very nice. They were my second choice.

I liked The Waterford at Fairfield. The director was very nice and knowledgeable. Everything was very nice and clean. The rooms were good sized. We had dinner there, and the food was good. They had a lot of activities. They had Bingo, they do nails sometimes, and they had church and reading clubs.

Our room at the Waterford at Fairfield is excellent, and it's very spacious. We have a two-bedroom unit. The staff is fine and they do a good job. The food is OK; they serve meals twice a day, which is lunch and dinner. They have activities here like bingo, trivia, and they take us on trips.

My parents will be moving into The Waterford at Fairfield. It's very nice and upscale, but it's extremely expensive. They will be given two meals a day and a two-bedroom apartment. The place is newer, and the amenities are very nice. They have a very nice menu with specials every day. It's more of a restaurant-type rather than a buffet. They have a little kitchenette in the apartment because they don't supply breakfast, only lunch and dinner. They have great amenities.

The apartments at The Waterford at Fairfield were very nice and clean but a little bit small. I live in my home right now and have more furniture than what I could probably fit in there, but it's a very nice place and the people were very cordial. They had activities and go to different places, like baseball games, with a bus service that would take you around if you have to go to the doctor. It's a retirement place, and I'm not really quite retired yet. The staff was very professional, polite, and accommodating. It was very clean and inviting.

We chose the Waterford at Fairfield for my mother mostly because of location and the price. They have Wii games and crafts, and she has done all that. They serve 2 meals a day -- lunch and dinner. The staff is very helpful and very nice. We visit her a lot, so we have taken her to different places, but they do have a shuttle. They have laundry services, housekeeping, and everything else that she needs.

I am/was a resident of this facility

The Waterford, has recently gone through some changes, and not for the better. The activity director has recently left, the facility, all the residents dearly love this lady. A nineteen year old girl was put in her place, whom has little to no experience, she treats the residents like she is the teacher and they are little children. The bus for outside activities has no lift so very few of the residents can go on outings. This is a unlicensed facilty, independent living, with many residents having dementia and alzhiemers ....This facility used to be wonderful, but haas slowly declined over the last 5 years. The food is good and could be great if the manager would let the chef prepare the food, it seems he is always worried about his budget. The staff is great and very sweet, but unable at times to help due to the facility being unlicensed. I wish things could be changed to the way I know they can be.

I moved in here at The Waterford last two months. I have a kitchen, living room, bedroom, and bathroom, but I don’t like the food. They come in once a week, change my bedding, and clean the bed.

I am now at The Waterford, and I like the outside of the building as there are a lot of areas to walk. It is very clean, open, and well lit. The dining area is average. The staff is really good. They have a library, church services on Sunday, Bible study, and exercise class. The food is average, nothing special, and only serve lunch.

The Waterford had a smoke smell from cigarettes in one wing because it used to be a smoking community. They're trying, but they haven't gotten the smoke out yet, and it's something that bothers me because I'm a non-smoker. It's an H-style building and only one part of it had the smoke smell.

The Waterford was excellent. Everything was impeccable and top notch. We ate lunch, and the food was delicious. The staff was so friendly and would do anything for you. The value was perfect for me because anybody could afford this place. The amenities were everything you would possibly want. They had a lady at the front desk who watched whoever came in and out and would check your ID, so you had to stop and check in. The lady that took us on a tour treated us like family. She was kind.

I would recommend Waterford based on my one visit comparing it to my mothers present facility. I did have the opportunity to visit with a resident that moved from moms present community. And he loved it and was happy he moved. His bonus was that it was close to the golf course. We did not choose the Waterford because of the location so far from family. I sincerely felt that they were warm caring people. The building was nicely decorated and very clean.

I like The Waterford at Fairfield because it is a nice place. The staff are nice. But mom does not want an apartment on the second floor and she wanted a more affordable facility. The rooms were fabulous. I would recommend this facility because it is a very nice place to stay. Their dining area looked nice.

The Waterford was very large, nice facility with a high ceiling entryway. The people were nice, the activities were well-planned, and the dining area was quite nice. They only do independent living; they do some additional services but not complete assisted living. Even though it would have been much more convenient for me, Mom didn't want to consider going across town to Fairfield. The people were very nice and wonderful to talk to. We had a nice visit, a nice tour, and the people were great. Since they only did independent living at the Waterford, I have to probably rate it three stars. It's a wonderful place, otherwise, but not for us because of the possibility that it's just a matter of time before she'll need further assistance; I think she would have to move from there if she needed assisted living.

We visited The Waterford at Fairfield. They were cordial and very nice. They offered us a tour and a meal. The dining area was very nice. They have puzzles and bingo. They have a lot of different things to do. However, I would have to have assistance for a shower and getting dressed, but it is $5 for every 15 minutes that they share with you, and that could get expensive. Nevertheless, we did recommend The Waterford at Fairfield to a friend, and he is living there now.

My visit at Waterford of Fairfield was fine. The staff was friendly. From what I saw, it looks like a nice facility. The room that I saw was a studio room, and it has a kitchenette, a living room, a bedroom, and a walk-in bath. I was impressed with the facility. They also seemed to have good activities. They have a craft room, and I also saw an area where they were planting. From what I have seen, I would recommend this place.

The staff was very much accommodating at Waterford. We had breakfast there, and we even had a deposit on an apartment. It is not an assisted living facility, but it does have a lot of amenities that are assisted, like, they do your laundry, they provide three meals a day, and transportation anywhere you want to go. There's always somebody there 24/7 and a full-time nurse, 8 to 10 hours a day. My husband is the one that really needs the assistance. So there's always somebody there if he would fall or someone to help him up. We like the rooms. It's kind of what we wanted. It's also right in the neighborhood where three of my children live. I like the walking area around the facility.
