I visited this facility

I went to 10 Wilmington Place. We did like the apartments or studios that they had available. They were very nice. We liked that everything was there, like the cafeteria. They had activities for the residents that were state-of-the-art. It was just a very clean and nice facility. The person who gave the tour was very informative, very friendly, and very helpful, offering other information as it came up and we needed it. I liked the fact that even in the independent living, the dining was how they kind of checked in on people. You either had to tell them that you were showing up for dinner or not and if you didn't and they didn't hear from you, then they would check on you. So, we liked that aspect of it. I know there's an entertainment area where they have parties and bingo and games and things like that. They have like a little theater room set up with the Wii bowling, and it's decorated quite cute. It looks like an actual bowling alley, but then they just play it with the Wii. So, that was nice. And I know there's a lounge area as well.

I will be moving into 10 Wilmington Place. I liked the floor plans. There were a lot of windows in the apartments that let in a lot of light. I liked the amenities. They seemed to have a lot of activities and a lot of things to do. I liked that it was family-owned and not run by a company or a corporation. I liked the food. There were exercise classes, card games, and field trips. There's a fitness center and a hair salon.

The thing I found very impressive about 10 Wilmington Place was that they have a very long retention period for their staff, which to me says that these people are being treated well. They're probably being paid what they consider fair. They have been there a while, so they've obviously proven that they're trustworthy and good material. The facility is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. I love that the residents were free to express themselves by decorating their portion of the hall that was near the entry of their apartment. Everybody seemed to belong there and fit in. It was very warm and welcoming. The staff was very nice, polite, and knowledgeable. She asked a lot of questions that would help with what my mom might need. She showed me a couple of the units that would be similar to what we would be looking at in the future. The dining area was lovely. There were places for people to eat as groups, and also places for people to sit as individuals or as a couple. It looked like a restaurant. Each individual gets waited on by a wait person, and their food is brought to them. It's a historical building, and it's absolutely beautiful. They've kept it up and made improvements. The groundskeeper has been with them for like 40 years.

I visited this facility

Our visit to 10 Wilmington Place was very thorough. The main thing we liked about it is it was very clean and the people were very friendly (both the staff and the residents). We went through to the cafeteria and people were sitting there eating and they were saying how good the food was. It was a very, very nice place. It's also very big and offers quite a lot. You could stay there and never leave the building if you didn't want to. You could have your groceries delivered and everything. So it was a pretty nice setup. There was a theater there, game rooms, different kinds of classes, and just about everything we could want. The staff were very nice and very, very informative. They were very concerned about making sure that we didn't stumble on anything while we were walking around and gave us a chance to rest if they felt that we needed to rest and things like that. So I appreciated that.

I visited this facility

10 Wilmington Place was the best of the three I toured. It's a really old building that has been remodeled in the early 1980s, but it is set up in a way that, in the hallways, it faces the outside and so it is very bright. They have a whole range of different types of rooms because it was a hospital. They also have home health care right on the property. They also have independent living, assisted living, and memory care. I thought the facility was the most attractive. It's a nice place to be in. The rooms were light. The courtyard was gorgeous. They have beautiful grounds. They have large grounds. I was impressed by it.

I went to visit 10 Wilmington Place. They had a lot of activities, I like the people that work there, and I thought it was a very, very good facility. Their rooms have appliances like a refrigerator and a stove. The rooms were very nice and light with high ceilings. The person who gave the tour was very informative and helpful. She said that if she had known we were interested in checking the food, she would have scheduled us for dinner. But we said it's alright. The place looks very excellent and there are areas where you can walk, and so forth. They have outdoor space and there were a lot of plantings, and it was open.

10 Wilmington Place was wonderful. I would recommend them highly to people. They have exercise equipment. They have good-sized rooms. The place is beautiful. Delores was wonderful to work with. I felt bad telling her I wasn't going to live there. She was great. She was the one who gave us the tour. The building is beautiful. It's a very, very old building, but they gathered it and re-did it all. The rooms are gorgeous. The first one we visited, the windows were so high, if I stood on my tippy toes, I couldn't see. But the second room was nice. They have all sorts of activities going on. They also have a theater and Wii bowling. I was impressed. I was all set to sign up to live there and my daughter said, 'Why don't we just check out the other place.' I decided to check it out and then I changed my mind. The rooms were very nice. The dining room was huge. They had tablecloths with cloth napkins and flowers on every table. The rooms were spacious. They had a bathroom with plenty of handlebars to hang on to if you needed that assistance, which I do. I was impressed with the whole place.

I am/was a resident of this facility

10 Wilmington Place is very nice. The food is good and the people are all nice. They have a lot of amenities as well as activities. There are three libraries, two theaters, and a bowling alley. They have Bible study, an arts and crafts session, happy hours, and live music a lot of times. Today, they had trivia and Bible study. The other day we had a Wii bowling tournament. The staff is just outstanding. The desk is there 24/7 and they are very professional and very good. They keep the facilities immaculate.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents are in 10 Wilmington Place. It's wonderful. They bend over backwards trying to help us if we have any questions, and they let us take our time to think about moving in there. They also checked on us afterwards, making sure we were OK, that we didn't forget, or that we weren't in trouble because we couldn't find a place. The staff is fantastic. We were just worried about the finances. It's upbeat. They're able to plant and grow things. They've got activities during the day. They've got walking groups, entertainment like theaters, and get-togethers in the evenings. Their eating facility is almost like a restaurant. It's nice and bright in there, and it looks elegant. The food is fantastic. They love seafood, and almost every night they're able to get seafood. Everything I needed help with, they would find someone to help me, or bend over backwards to try and get answers. With eating seafood every night, they have noticed that their health has been improving a little bit. They also limit salt. My mother is a diabetic and they limit the sugar, and it's been improving them. They still have their desserts and all that good stuff, so they're enjoying that. The facility is fantastic and safe. When we had issues with the heating and cooling, they came over and fixed it real quick. They had issues with plumbing before, and the maintenance guy on-call came in as soon as he found out. They bend over backwards making sure everything's OK. They've got a variety of activities, from walking to bowling to evening socials with drinks and dancing. They even got a small workout room, and someone can help them with working out. They've got puzzles they can take back to their apartments. They've got a huge sidewalk going around the whole building that my mom always walks around with the dog. Compared to all the other places, everyone else is more expensive.

The staff at 10 Wilmington Place was friendly, professional, and willing to answer questions. It was a very big, traditional-looking facility. It was spacious and clean. I saw activities. They had two movie theaters inside, I saw crafts, and I saw the library, and the common spaces were set up very nicely.

I visited this facility

The 10 Wilmington Place was the most impressive facility of all of the ones I toured. They seemed to have a lot more staff available and a lot of things to offer. They had a movie theater that no else had. They had activities centered around the community, like pizza night and different things. There seemed to be more of them and in different locations. It was a much bigger building than any of the others, so they had more opportunities. The person that took us on the tour (as we went up and down the halls from floor-to-floor) didn't see a person that she didn't know by name. They had room options. There was a studio and a studio deluxe, which was just slightly bigger where you can tuck a bed back into a wall, like a hotel room. I didn't see anything that was lacking. They had variations in the menus and the meals from day-to-day. There was a whole month's worth that we could see. It was not very repetitive. There was a lot of staff around that were even not aware that we were there, but the way they were interacting with the residents seemed to be so positive. It was very encouraging to whoever they were dealing with. You could tell that made a difference. There was no one there that I would feel uncomfortable with. It was the most impressive facility in a lot of ways including the exterior, the cleanliness, and the architecture. Everything about the building was topnotch. I am ready to go live there.

I visited this facility

I've been to 10 Wilmington Place. It's very close to my home but the only thing was that it was very pricey, it's a little out of my parent's budget. The rooms were a little bit on the smaller side, but I understand that it used to be a hospital and they've converted it. But still, the rooms were really beautiful. They have restaurant-style dining, you can make a reservation, or you can go down and a host greets you and they have a waiter or waitress. They showed me everything in the independent living, it was 34 acres and it's beautiful. They have paths to walk and gardens.

Provider Response

We are very glad to hear your positive comments about your recent tour of 10 Wilmington Place. We offer a large variety of apartment styles and sizes in our unique, historic building. Our team takes pride in the services we provide and in our beautifully landscaped outdoor spaces.

I really liked 10 Wilmington Place very much. It's beautiful for one thing, there's lots of flowers and gardens. The apartments were very clean and looked nice. I liked them. Everybody I ran into that lived there had a smile on their faces. They have concerts. They have get-togethers for birthdays, and bible study. There is a whole calendar full of different things that I haven't really looked at carefully. The monthly charge was pretty high for me. I might be able to make it, but I really doubt it, so I didn't get a lot of details. They do have a nurse available. They have a medical partnership 24/7. I didn't really meet other stuff other than the person who was taking me on the tour. She was good. I wish the price was a little bit less because it is beautiful.

I did not care for the individual apartment buildings at 10 Wilmington Place independent living. The ceilings were too high and the rooms were boxy. The other places have more open apartments. They offer the same amenities as the other places I have visited. The manager who assisted me was very knowledgeable, very easy to talk to, and very friendly, and she interacted well with the residents. They are pet-friendly. They have a fitness center, 2 state-of-the-art cinemas for movies, and they offer garages if the residents are still driving. They have hospitality suites too so if you have family or out-of-town guests, they can use those.

Provider Response

We thank you for your compliments about our community. We do pride ourselves on having a historic building and very unique apartment styles. Many of our residents compliment the high ceilings and window features that we offer. The architecture of our building sets us apartment from the newer buildings, but we respect everyone's unique preferences. I am glad to hear you had such a nice tour and found our Marketing team to be helpful and knowledgeable. Sincerely, Michele Brooke Executive Director

10 Wilmington Place is all right, everybody considers it a 5-star, and I'm glad that they do but I don't. The staff that I talked to was very knowledgeable. But their layout, you're far away from dining, and you're far away from like the laundry where you do your own personal laundry. So you have to do a lot of walking to get to the facilities that you want to go to. They had a stove and a refrigerator in the rooms and that's about it. There's no washer and dryer, but they had a laundry room that you could go to and use, but I can't do a lot of walking. I know they think that you can get a scooter and ride around wherever you want to go, but that's another added cost. Unless you got money, it doesn't do you any good. They also have a courtyard.

Provider Response

We appreciate your visit and honest feedback. We understand that our campus may not be for everyone as we are a historic building situated on a 34 acre campus. Our building is large and sprawling which our residents like for the homey atmosphere as well as the indoor and outdoor walking areas which give them opportunities to enjoy activities and have room for family gatherings without feeling as though they are on top of other residents, yet they are close enough for friendships to develop and meet new neighbors. We wish you well in your search for a community that best fits your needs.

We visited 10 Wilmington Place, it was more expensive than the others. The main building was very nice and nicely set up. The staff was fine, they were nice. The rooms look nice and the facilities were very nice. They had some ladies' clubs, various things going on like crocheting stuff, card games, movie nights, and a lot of TVs around.

I went to 10 Wilmington Place and they were very friendly when we got there. The staff took us to the conference room and had the brochure ready, and all the information ready to explain everything to us. Then we went on a tour of the facility. They offer a little bit more than the other place I toured. They have a ton of activities, all kinds of rooms, they even have a bowling alley and a theater room. They have a lot of activities to offer but it's also a higher price there too. That makes it a little bit out of the range of what we would be looking for, but there's nothing negative about it at all. It's a beautiful facility, the grounds are beautiful and the rooms we saw were the studio size, the 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom. It's all very nice, and the accommodations were very nice. We haven't had the food but they have a chef there.

Provider Response

I liked 10 Wilmington Place. It was very homey. I loved it. They had a bar in there, which I thought was neat with a big-screen TV. The time that I toured it, I think it was close to like Super Bowl time, and they were getting ready to have a Super Bowl party in the bar. They had a lot of social gathering-type areas that I thought were cool. They have these cool patio settings where they had these nice big rocking chairs that you see at the Cracker Barrel. They had nice furniture out on these patios that overlooked like this lawn with these beautiful willow trees. It was like the setting that you imagined in your head what an old folk's home would be like. I just thought it was beautiful, the scenery from those verandas or patios or balconies. Each resident outside of their rooms had a little shelf, and they could decorate it how they wanted to do. Some of the ones had pictures of their grandkids. I thought the little apartments were nice. These older people were playing Wii bowling and just having a good old time. I just loved the place. It was super cool. If I was an old person, that's where I would love to go. I thought it was really neat, but Mom and Dad wouldn't go there because that place used to be where they housed the psychiatric patients. It was like the psychiatric place of the 40s or 50s or 60s or whatever it was. So, Mom thought it was probably haunted. I thought the place was cool. For me, if I was an old person, I would love those patios because it was just gorgeous looking out at that lawn and those willow trees.

10 Wilmington Place seemed great. My mother-in-law's cousin is living there, and so she has great feelings for that place. The staff did a great job. They were very competent answering any questions and provided all the information that was necessary. The rooms were well organized and well decorated. It was kept up very well, considering what it used to be and how they have remodeled and redone it. Since it's close to a hospice, they have quite a bit of walking space that you could go out and walk around there. The staff all seemed very caring and seemed to know what they were doing. They seemed to enjoy what they were doing, especially with all they had to deal with Covid in the last year and a half. I think they've done a wonderful job with it. It's a great looking facility considering what it looked like 50 years ago. For all the upkeep and the changes they've made in that building, for the way they have kept all the original architecture, and everything that they could've kept to make it the way it looks now, they did a wonderful job.

10 Wilmington Place was good. They have a good location, wonderful staff, good food, and nice apartments. It was just the other place was a better fit for me overall. My daughter lives there in independent. She has a condition that she has to be where she has some help. She lives there, and they wondered if I wanted to move in at the same place; I said no. She's been there for a year and a half, and she's made her way. I just think that it's better for her that she continues on with what she's doing. She has a one-bedroom, very nice apartment. They have entertainment. They have good food, and she's happy there. They have movies and exercise classes. They take walks, and they have a nice campus there. It's always been a nice place. I know they have a couple of buses that take people to the stores and everything. I don't think they have as many drivers to take you to other places, like the other place does. That's a biggie because if you don't drive anymore and you need transportation, it's nice to have that. They're very nice and very good to my daughter. They're very kind, and she's OK there. It is a good place for her. It just fits her better than it would for me. From the time you walk in the door, the staff is really nice. I have not eaten in the dining room, but I ate there a few years ago with a church group. We went there one time, and it was very, very nice. So far, the activities sound great for her. I think the charges are comparative to all of the places that I talked to.

Provider Response

We are so pleased that you had a nice experience and that you continue to feel this is a good community for your daughter. We strive to ensure our services are well-coordinated and geared to our population. We offer unique senior living and the ability for everyone to enjoy a variety of events and programs they enjoy. I toured 10 Wilmington Place. The rooms are pretty nice. They're large. The lady who gave me the tour was very friendly. All the staff members were good. I had a chicken salad croissant. With the little I had, it was nice and good. I noticed more than one dining facility. There's a dining facility for each floor. They have multiple elevators. It's a nice place. It's like none I've ever been to before, it's nice. They have a Wii bowling game and cards. They have a lot of activities going on there. Of course, it varies according to the time of day and the day of the week. They have transportation. They will take you to the store, to doctor's appointments, and other places within reason.

We like 10 Wilmington Place Retirement Community a lot, they just did not have memory care available at the time. The staff showed us the assisted living apartments as well. The facility was beautiful, very well-kept, clean, and very attractive. They had a very full activity calendar and it seemed like their dining area was very attractive. I have eaten there before and it used to be open to the public as well. Their food is very good. The rooms seem to be clean and appropriately accommodating, and this was assisted living. The memory care unit I didn't care for, because it seemed a little dark, and a lot of them were semi-private, which we were not interested in. The staffing ratios are pretty much the same across the board with most places. It's a beautiful, historic building. It's really beautiful on the outside and in the main general areas.

The price at 10 Wilmington Place Retirement Community was too high. The facility seemed clean and fine, and they provided- I believe, two meals. The staff who gave the tour was fine. They had activities like Wii sports and bowling. They have a chapel and a dining hall. They seemed to offer all the services that an assisted living person would want.

Provider Response

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. We understand that Assisted Living can be costly, but our rates are in line with many quality Assisted Living communities in the area. We strive to provide the best care possible in beautiful apartments similar to those in our Independent Living. 10 Wilmington Place was huge. It would initially be difficult to find your way around, but I know they would provide directions and maps. It was a beautiful facility and everything looked in order. We even had lunch and I was interested in trying the food because you hear of so many of the institutional type places where the food is awful, but the food tasted as if it could have come from any restaurant. The floor plans were workable. The staff was very professional, very friendly, and knowledgeable. I saw one deluxe studio and a one-bedroom place, but the studio I saw was one of a kind in the whole complex and it had a lot of extra storage, which would have been nice. The storage in a regular studio is tiny and half of my furniture would have to be storage pieces to accommodate. It seemed like they had a good activities program and lots of amenities, transportation, and home health. Other services like that are available at an extra charge, of course. They had adequate laundry facilities, a free library, and a beauty salon.

Provider Response

Thank you for sharing your experience during your tour of 10 Wilmington Place. We are always happy to hear such positive comments and impressions from those who have toured. We take pride in our community and our goal is to present an active, unique senior living opportunity. We are a huge community as you noted, but it is easy to acclimate and doesn't seem nearly as large once residents get settled. Sincerely, Michele Brooke Executive Director

Our visit to 10 Wilmington Place went very well. Everybody was really polite and they showed us several apartments. It's a very nice and clean facility. There were lots of activities going on and the grounds were beautiful. It's 31 acres. The apartment bedroom was a little tinier than I thought it would be, but it would have been nice to have gone into if it was closer to where I live currently. It was a bit far for me to go out at night. The price was also higher than I could afford. I can still cook for myself and not have to have food and all that stuff. They have a bowling alley and a theater that you can go to and watch movies. They offered for me to stay at a place over there that was already furnished to know what it would be like to live there. It was all free and that was really good, but I did not take advantage of that only because it was just too far for me to go to. It's a beautiful place though. They do crafts and there were a couple of libraries. They kept everybody busy. The assisted living part was like East and West hallways, while the North and South were for independent living. It's just that I have a dog and I couldn't get anywhere that I wanted to go to get him outside without being up on the second or third floor. The laundry facilities were down the hall. The independent living has restaurant-style seating where you can make reservations for the table, or to go down and be there, so they won't have you sit at specific tables. I had two of my kids that went there with me and we all liked it. It just wasn't suitable for me. I think it's like a self-contained area where you don't really need to have a car. They would have people that would go out and take you places.

My tour at 10 Wilmington Place was lovely, and I enjoyed it. The staff who assisted me during the tour was wonderful; I forget her name, but she was really good. I'd give the cleanliness a "ten" if I were to rate it from one to ten; it's very good. They had movies, they had bowling, they can go off site sometimes on a little bus, and they'd go to Walmart. I haven't eaten any of the food yet, but they have a nice chef, and the food is looking good. I like it because they feed you on the premises; I don't have to go out and buy my food.

The quality of the food has SIGNIFICANTLY declined from 2019 to 2021. They can't blame fewer choices, dry chicken, tough beef, and more on Covid. Perhaps they took away from food budget to pay for Covid expenses. They provided no laundry and cleaning services for a month. Still charged for it on their itemized bill and refused on request to refund the changes. Don't believe I it When they say you control whether or not your air conditioning or your furnace is on. Staff tells you not to run the whole apartment fan when you want. They know most elderly people hate to move. That is what saves them from more residents leaving. They overcharge for the quality they provide.

Provider Response

I visited this facility

We went to 10 Wilmington Place. It was a much older, traditional style of place. It looked like it has been around for a good while, but it has an old-world kind of charm to it. It was really large with four levels in floors and traditional styling, like an old mansion kind of place. The staff was great; she even let my aunt use a scooter. It was much larger, so it was a lot of walking, and we had a lot of distance to cover in terms of looking at the models that she was showing us. It was nice to let my eighty-eight-year-old aunt ride on a scooter, and she even got to learn how to drive it, which was helpful. The dining area is fine, but we didn't get to eat there. It was on a Sunday, so we got to meet another lady who was waiting for the church service to begin, and she has been there for a couple of years. She said she loved it. We got to see a place in the process of being redone. I guess somebody had been in that unit, and they were gone, so they were fixing it up for the next person. Then we got to see one that was already fixed up, so we got to see one in both stages, and it looked really nice. When they redo a unit they rip out carpets, and they put in new appliances, flooring, and everything. The showers are great because you don't have to worry about stepping in a tub or falling; they were like walk-in, sit-down kinds of showers. It was lovely, and considering how old the place looked, it was still up to date inside each unit we looked at. They have activities on the whole floor, like the lower level -- it's like a mall inside the facility. They had movies, game rooms, a place for you to get your hair done, a gym, and a little coffee shop. It wasn't as active as it used to be because of COVID. They had a pub, too, with a TV to watch sports or whatever; it was almost really like a mall on the lower level. There were empty rooms where you could invite family to have a get-together. They can either order food in, or you could bring your own potluck kind of thing. They had rooms where you can read, kind of like library rooms, and they had rooms where you can play cards. Unfortunately, it was too expensive. I wouldn't mind living in a place like that when the time comes.

I visited this facility

We toured 10 Wilmington Place. We couldn't go in the room, they didn't have anything available, but we saw the outside, inside, entrance, we met in the conference room, and looked at everything else on the computer, on the website, and stuff. The staff was very nice.

10 Wilmington Place was very nice. They seem to really have everything that I would need. I was impressed. Though the price was a little steep and the community was rather large, it's probably the best place that I've visited. They had activities for a person with Alzheimer's, it was secure, and it seemed safe and clean.

My dad is in 10 Wilmington Place, but the experience has been very mixed. It's a beautiful facility, the common areas are well kept and appointed, and the women there at the reception desk are extremely helpful and polite. We've had some problems, and they have been slow to respond to some maintenance requests. I would not give the food a very high rating, and there was some confusion with the information we were given. They have two contractors. One does physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech, cognitive, nursing, and they've been wonderful to work with. The home care assistance however has not, so we fired them in less than 30 days. There was also confusion around the pricing. We just have to give it time to see if it really is a good choice, but it's a beautifully-kept senior living facility. The residents themselves are very nice, welcoming, and there are a lot of variety in the activities they offer.

Provider Response

At 10 Wilmington Place, our family owned-difference is reflected in our beautiful apartments and common areas, as well as in the friendliness of our staff and residents, as this family member has indicated. We fully understand that the services we provide, like meals and maintenance, are of great importance as well. While we strive for excellence in all areas, on occasion we do not meet expectations. When this happens, our Executive Director, who has been with 10 Wilmington Place for 10 years, has an open door policy and is always available to assist our residents and family members with any concerns they may have. Our commitment to resident and family satisfaction is very personal to us. We will continue to work hand-in-hand with this family to reassure them that they made the correct decision when they chose 10 Wilmington Place for their loved one.

My grandmother is at 10 Wilmington Place. It's an older community. I like the location. However, I don't like that they have four floors and higher turnover. The staffing is very inconsistent. The food doesn't look too promising either. They have a movie theater, a bar, a laundry room, a gazebo, and a restaurant.

Provider Response

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about 10 Wilmington Place. Ours is indeed an “older community”. In fact, 10 Wilmington Place was originally built in 1855 and is even listed in the National Register of Historic Places. However, since opening in 1986, our property has been completely renovated twice - most recently in 2017. We staff our community according to the resident population we are serving, taking into account the collective daily needs of our residents, which may account for some of the inconsistencies you mentioned. We are a proud to have received a perfect score on our annual survey by the State of Ohio Department of Health in 2018 – a distinction very few area senior living communities can claim. Several of our key managers and staff members have been with our community for more than 10 years. We are disappointed to learn that you have never actually sampled our food. It’s one of our true claims to fame. Our Executive Chef, Keith Davis, has been with our community for 20 years and has received numerous awards for his culinary skills. Additionally, he is an adjunct professor in the Culinary Arts program at Sinclair Community College. We invite you to join us for a meal during your next visit. We think you’ll be quite impressed! Thank you and your family for entrusting the care of your grandmother to 10 Wilmington Place. We value your trust and feedback, and will continue to do all we can to ensure her happiness here.

I visited this facility

Ten Wilmington Place had much to commend it. I found the entrance and dining room to be adequate only because it felt like a hotel entrance with dark colors -- and the food was only average. I did appreciate that the apartments were varied in appearance that I found pleasant. If I remember correctly they no longer had banking services which is a very necessary service for persons who no longer drive. For such a large facility I expected a small-type grocery/basic personal items on site. All things considered, I felt the prices were somewhat higher than I expected.

There were things about 10 Wilmington Place that I didn't like. It's a very spread out, older building that they've adapted so there's a lot of ramps that cause my mother-in-law to walk further. There's a main building and wings off to the side. The rooms were great and spacious, but the wings were long, so it's a further distance to walk. Their amenities were great, and the food looked really good. They had music concerts and other activities, like classes and stuff like that, and a salon inside.

I visited this facility

10 Wilmington Place was very large, about three or four stories, and there was a lot of walking involved. They offered significantly more activities than the other places we visited, but the size would be overwhelming. The rooms were very nice, spacious, clean, and affordable. They have two actual movie theaters, a men's club, and several card clubs.

10 Wilmington Place has a lot of activities. There are two movie theaters and nice dining facilities. The rooms don't have an outdoor seating area, but there have a lot of areas where they can go outside. The place was very neat, clean, and the staff was very helpful. It was quite a bit higher-priced.

My mom moved into 10 Wilmington Place this April. She has a nice room. 10 Wilmington Place is excellent. Everybody is very pleasant. They have all kinds of activities, movies almost every afternoon, and card tournaments. They have a beauty salon and a small general store. The staff members have been very accommodating and pleasant. My mom likes the food. She has a choice of three entrees and chooses to take one meal a day, but she could take two meals a day. Plus, they have a continental breakfast.

Provider Response

Thank you for your very kind words. Our owners and management team strive to ensure that our residents have the highest quality of life possible, as well as beautiful place to call home. We are so pleased to know that you and your mom are happy she chose 10 Wilmington Place.

My mom is in 10 Wilmington Place. It is a beautiful Victorian building and very affordable. I am impressed at how nice and how affordable it is. I will recommend it. However, the only concern I have is that it is in the area that may have high crime. Outside of that, I really think it is great.

I visited this facility

My visit at 10 Wilmington Place was very good. They gave me brochures, and the lobby was very nice. It was a very large facility because it used to be a hospital. The rooms were very nice, clean, and didn't smell bad. It was staffed well. The price was really expensive but fairly reasonable. I met the sales representative, and she was helpful, informative, and clearly told me everything they had to offer.

Wilmington Place is very nice, and the rooms are OK. They’re a little bit on the small side, but the grounds are fantastic. It’s beautiful because it’s upon a hill and surrounded by a lot of acreage. When we were there, it seemed to be clean.

I visited this facility

We visited three facilities, and my favorite was Wilmington Place. The staff seemed to be very caring. The facility had tons of stuff for people to do. The thing that I noticed about this particular place was everyone was outdoing stuff. They had a bar and movie theater. Everybody looked happy, that was what I have noticed that I haven’t seen in any other place. The rooms were nice; the 1-bedroom was very spacious, nice, and very clean. I haven’t tried the food, but I know a couple of friends whose parents have been there, and their chef has been there for 10 years. The security was very good.

I went to 10 Wilmington Place one time. It was a larger facility compared to the others I visited. But I preferred a small place. It was also in town and I did not want to drive a lot. They had a chef and the food was very good. The price was also a little higher than the others.
