We have not had a positive experience with Harbor Chase. The facility is absolutely beautiful, however their care and management do not match the quality of the building. My grandmother is currently residing in this facility, however given recent events we will likely move her to another place. While there are some nice people that work here, it’s painfully clear they are short staffed. We have not seen compassion and care - rather we have seen my Grandmother cared for an absolute minimal amount. She spent 20 hours in a row in her bed, dinner from the last night rotting in her room the next afternoon. She was in a bed devoid of sheets, merely on a Chuck pad directly on the mattress with blankets placed over top. She had on 2 depends. Why? She was soiled. She had not been changed in over 20 hours. I’ve never experienced anything like this. She was ignored. The staff tried to tell us she was being properly cared for. However, a member of her care team had randomly left mid shift without telling management. This was a surprise to management while in her room today. We cannot get out of this nightmare fast enough. It is painfully sad to see your 77 year old father feel personally responsible for his 97 year old mother in this facility where she is being ignored. I would strongly recommend looking around at other options. This place is big and beautiful, but that’s where the high points end I am afraid. I was shocked at all the other positive reviews given the experience we are being put through. We discussed with management today and were not impressed, in fact we were appalled they could not even produce her care plan. We were told that was due to the short notice of the meeting? A care plan is a standard that should be readily available… This place has completely lost our trust. Be aware.

I went to HarborChase of Beavercreek. I thought it was very nice. They had good dining facilities. There were opportunities for the residents to have meals with families and things like that. It seemed like they had a lot of activities. It was a brand new community, so it's in a very good shape. I liked it, but it wasn't for my mother-in-law at this point. I looked at some of the rooms. The roooms in memory care were single rooms. The assisted living had ones that were like small apartments, which were very nice. They had a lot of amenities. I liked that. It was good. I liked the dining. They have workout space and things like that. They do trips.

I went to look at HarborChase of Beavercreek. What I like is it's new, everything was clean. They had nice dining facilities. What I liked least, just for us, was that it's pretty large compared to where my mother is now. I had the person who was giving me the tour, very friendly, and the lady at the front desk was very nice. The facilities were very nice, and it's a new place. They did have water damage, and they had a sprinkler system break, so they were remodeling. I don't know how things will look when they're done, but they're dealing with that. They did not have a gym. I think they had a salon. What made this a good location is that it's fairly close to where I live. It's on a busy road, and it's near the freeway, so that's what I don't like about it. There's a shopping center and restaurant very close by, less than a mile away.

My dad is at HarborChase of Beavercreek, we transferred him there 2 weeks ago. We chose it because it offered him assisted living with hospice support, the place is spacious, it cost a lot less than his previous facility, and it also offers a transition to hospice care where hospice comes into his room. They're understaffed but I think every place is right now. Their staff is very friendly though, they go out of their way to offer help, and they're always going as soon as he calls for them. He has a wristband that he pushes and as soon as he calls for them, they immediately come. He doesn't do them, but I see activities going on all the time. I've watched a game going on and yesterday, they had a pool party inside because it was raining. They have a bunch of activities. They even have a musician come in. The residents each have their apartment and it's a full apartment. It's very clean, it's new, and there's nothing that looks like it isn't being taken care of.

My mom has been placed at Harbor Chase of Beavercreek and she's doing alright. They are struggling with their staffing, in particular nursing staffing, so that's been a concern. They're there working on their communication. I'm sure that's something that they'll get better at. The facility is very attractive. I think it's been good so far. I also know that staffing is an issue industry wide. So, right now it's difficult to find medical personnel across the board. The food is OK; they have choices, which are nice. They allow the patients to have choices, but sometimes in memory care they get something, and they can't eat it. So it kind of has that balance. The food is good; not something to rave about. They haven't been able to provide many activities at all because of the state limitations. The biggest focus is their nursing aides are pretty wonderful. They really seem to care and are willing to work with you for your parents' needs. The facility looks nice, but they also have a major water leak. It's been under construction, but because of COVID, it's been difficult to get it fixed quickly. But the facility is very nice looking. It's disgusting, the price of these places.

My mother is in HarborChase of Beavercreek. They're lacking in personal care, and they give too many excuses. The staff is somewhat caring, but we've asked multiple times for things to be done for her care, and it's still not getting done. The facility is very nice, but they need to step up in order for me to keep my mom there. She has a private room. The issue is with the management. They don't really listen to you.
