I wouldn’t put my dog there . The bathrooms sewer backed up , they had to share a community shower , the staff left bruises on my mom and had to take her to the doctors. The nurses over medicate and all the staff were rude including the management. I would stay away.

Everything was great at Brookdale Wilmington. The grounds are fantastic. They have double doors, which are great for security. It was wonderful. Everything inside was clean. They have great materials and items for residents with those types of disease process. They have baby dolls and diaper changing station for the women, and they have gardening for the men. Brookdale Wilmington is amazing, but unfortunately, my dad requires full-time nursing care 24 hours a day now. The staff was exceptionally intelligent, very well presented, and very informed about her program. We got to watch a couple of emergencies that took place while we were there. How they handled that was very impressive. Aperson breached their security, and within 10 seconds, there were 15 staff members all over it. That was amazing! They did a fantastic job.

Brookdale Wilmington seemed very nice and very clean. The patrons seemed to be well taken care of. Their rooms seemed to be nice. The staff showed us the garden and the activity room and told us some of the activities that they have there for the patients.

Brookdale Wilmington was more restrictive as far as where the residents can go but had more memory care than other places I visited. I was turned off of it because of what the marketing person who met with me said regarding getting my mother to an assisted living facility. She had a dozen different ways to lie to my mother and deceive us. That turned me off. The fees were very expensive. The rooms were typical and adequate, but overall, I was not impressed. The dining room looked nice. Nothing stood out.

The staff at Clare Bridge all seemed friendly and supportive. The rooms were very nice and they would fit my brother's needs. They had various activities not only inside the home but also outside the facility.

Administration kind, excellent, supportive, on top of all happening in facility. Staff supportive, available, kind. Facility beautiful. Residents are strongly encouraged, and helped to socialize. Excellent recreational therapy of many varieties to support residents emotional and physical wellbeing.

My grandmother is living in this nursing home and from the times I've spent visiting her and the times I've heard my grandmother talk about it, it sounds like a really nice place. I know my grandmother was very surprised to see that all the caretakers who worked there were prompt, polite, and above all treated her with the respect and dignity that she deserves. My grandmother wasn't excited about being put in a nursing home but the longer she has stayed there the more she enjoys it. Every time I visit there, I can see all the hard work and dedication the caretakers have here, despite any upsets some of there residents put up. They understand how to treat the elderly and I never thought I'd say this but if I had to be put in a nursing home, the experience I've had here would make me feel more at ease. Knowing that there are people who are willing to dedicate there lives to making sure the elderly live the lives they want, instead of cooping them up in there rooms, brings a smile to my face. Especially when I see my sweet grandmother being treated with the care and love her own family would show.

When my MIL was admitted to Clare Bridge, the staff and facility director did everything in their powers to get her the very last room they had because they knew she needed to be in a facility like thiers. The staff, accomidations, food, and activities are all above average. Their pricing I felt for the services that they provided were very reasonable. Anytime that the staff was taking the residences on an outing, (and you were only suppose to go 2 times a week to let everyone have a chance) they always let my MIL go with them because they knew she was a higher functioning Alz/Dem resident and needed the outings. They bent over backwards to make her feel at home there and I would highly recommed Clare Bride of Wilmington to anyone in the area looking for an Alz/Dementia facility. Unfortunately my SIL removed my MIL from here just because my MIL keep sayng she "wanted to go home". so now she is living at home alone against dr's orders. Nothing we can do about it tho.
