My husband is in the memory care side of Morningside of Raleigh. It is in a beautiful wooded setting, and yet it was in this city. It was very bright and very orderly. The staff has been cooperative. They offer activities. They have a physical therapy room, a dayroom where activities can be done, and two dining areas, and this is all in the memory care. However, my husband has a specific rare condition that I don't believe is being addressed correctly with their program. The food is good. He has a spacious, single room with its own bathroom. For his situation, cleanliness has not been adequate. They have housekeeping only on the weekdays.

We've moved my mom into Morningside of Raleigh. She's in memory care. I like the facility. I like the room and the fact that it was very bright and airy. The hallways are wide too. They have a lot of activities, and I just connected with the staff. They just seemed like really nice people. I thought this would be a good place for my mom, and she would get settled here very nicely. The facility is very bright, very clean, and very well laid out. It has rooms and spaces to visit with family and things to keep my mom engaged in. Those are the kind of things I was looking for. I've seen other communities, and I thought the total cost, as my mom progresses through needing more and more care, that theirs were really very good. The staff members are very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and very patient. Compared to other places that I've toured, I think this one has a really good value.

My stepdad was at Morningside Raleigh for a respite stay for 30 days around middle of November to December. It's a nice facility. The people that work there were amazing. I can't say that I have any complaints. They did a good job with Covid protocols. It's not my favorite situation to be in right now, but it filled the need for us. It's a good place. He was in a studio, a single room with a twin bed, and he had his own bathroom and closet. They will provide furniture if you don't have any. It looked clean and adequate, and the staff was great. They had physical therapy, group sessions where they had music and entertainment, games, a TV, a patio that you could go out on, a garden plant, and some vegetable plant. They definitely try to make it nice for the residents.

I love the staff at Morningside of Raleigh. They were great, very friendly, and very open. They spent a lot of time with me, had a great follow-up, and they were delightful. The facility was nice, but it's a little older. There was only one room option, which was more of a studio type setup. The staff was very active and very engaging with the residents that I saw. The dining area was clean and very adequate. It's a clean place.

Morningside of Raleigh is absolutely marvelous and we highly recommend it. Mother had some difficult adjustments but they sent me personal notes to say, "Don't be worry, were going to keep an eye on her, don't get stressed out, and we're here for you." When Mother had to be taken on an ambulance when she went off with an infection, the whole staff rallied around and worked beautifully with her. They supported me and hugged me. They had no problem taking my mom back with her behaviors. They just are a fantastic staff. They try to keep one assigned that Mother has connected with and they try to be consistent on their care. Everybody from housekeeping to the dining staff call me and keep me appraised on what is going on. Their RN is exemplary and I don't have to worry about her practice like I did at the previous place my mom was at. I'm just thrilled and I wish I had found them first. Their chef is just excellent. My mom does bridge, flower arranging, and Bingo. She has done more activities in a month at this place than she did in three months at her previous facility. They bring a guy in who does music exercises while the residents are sitting in their wheelchairs. They throw balls back and forth and do wonderful little exercises to keep their arms and legs mobile without overextending them, plus they have fun and they get to do it to music. They try to do activities that are geared towards this population. They don't have staff turnover because the staff stays 10 or 15 years. They've got a dementia unit downstairs and they work on a montessori approach with confused and dementia clients and we love that approach. It's so nurturing and caring and they truly do support that.

They were very welcoming, very pleasant, and very friendly. Everybody smiled and was very nice to us. Morningside offered a lot, and it was very well-maintained. I think the one thing we didn't care about was it was more of an institutional look as opposed to the homey type of look, and we were hoping for something that was more of the homey look. They had great activities. The food looked like it would be very good. We did not stay for a meal, but what they served us was absolutely excellent -- beverages and a snack. I just can't tell you enough how friendly everybody was to us, and it wasn't just the person who was talking to us. As we walked around and all that, people smiled, and they were just very pleasant. It was just very nice, and I really appreciated that.
