I visited this facility

We were leaning more towards Clemmons Village II. They were small, and I liked that. It was more convenient to get to the dining area or the activities. It seemed like the people were friendly. They had a salon and a nice dining area. I saw some people with the activity director. They had a small area like a patio.

This facility accepted both my parents when my dad needed assistance and they could no longer live in their home of 60 years. The staff quickly developed a fondness and gave them special attention and care. I can't emphasize how important this was in their transition from home. When my dad's condition progressed WELL past the point he should have gone to a nursing home for skilled care, they kept him to keep the two of them together and just stepped up the care they provided. When my dad passed, they were bedside shedding tears as well. You can find somewhere more expensive, but not one with a more caring staff.

I visited this facility

I recently visited Clemmons Village II - Assisted Living. I was impressed, it's a very, very nice facility. Their rooms were large and the residents there have the opportunity to personalize their areas, which was impressive. They were clean. The staff members were friendly, very knowledgeable, and very welcoming. They have a large room that looked like it was set up for several different types of activities. They had reading materials available, several TVs, and several different options in a large room. They have someone there that's like a beautician.

We saw a lot more people at Clemmons Village II. It's a smaller and older facility, but the rooms were nice and pretty simple. These were just basic rooms but comfortable. They had different housing options that made it more affordable for people and they are one of the more reasonable ones. So, they had a little bit more flexibility. You could have a roommate and have a shared bathroom to make it less expensive. It's in the countryside so it's kind of a more laid-back place. I think that's why my grandmother liked it there because she's a country girl. They had beautiful landscaping. Upkeep and maintenance were fine. Everything smelled good and looked good. The food also looked good and they serve three meals a day if people want that, as well as snacks. They list all those so that people would know what's coming up. They had a nice dining area and some safety precautions are observed. They have simpler activities. They would have board games and crafts, and every day they have something special for the people like flower arranging and things like that. There were some multipurpose rooms that they used for crafts. They have individual and group recreation, transportation to scheduled outings like local restaurants, a beauty salon, and a barbershop. They are pet friendly. When my grandmother was there, everybody had a little bird in a cage in their room or they had cats. They had a chapel and they did daily morning devotion if people wanted to come and worship. It's a simpler kind of place, but I think it met the needs of the residents. They're lovely and caring people.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I've lived here at Clemmons Village II for 10 years now, so overall it's been wonderful. It's a very good place. It's all on one floor, it's very, very open, sunlit, and beautifully decorated. In 10 years, the staff has been great. If there ever was one that wasn't so, they didn't last long because it's a very positive environment. It's very clean, has no smells, is very nice, and very well kept. We got a bus and we take trips and we do group activities together like bingo, movies and arts and crafts. It's been very, very affordable and a good value.

We placed my aunt in Clemmons Village II. It was very attractive and very appealing. The staff are long time staff. They are very friendly. It is clean. Other patients gave good reviews. They have six levels of care, and my aunt is level four. They offer amenities. I believe they have a hairdresser there. I know they have podiatry there. They'll do laundry; it's included. Cable is included. They have the usual activities that you find in those places. They offer residents activities, things to do, places to go, and all that.

I visited this facility

I went to look at Clemmons Village II. They have very nice grounds, big lawns, large trees, and flowers. The inside is very spacious, and they have high ceilings. Everything was clean and very inviting. The rooms are all large, like the dining room and the activity room. They have a large patio, and it's very spacious. They have the usual bingo, checkers, puzzles, movie night, and karaoke night. The bathrooms are very nice. They have a large shower room for people that can't do their own shower. It was very clean and spacious. I liked it.

My mom has moved into Clemmons Village II. It's very easily accessible. I just like the facility itself; it's very well laid out. It's easy for people in wheelchairs to get around, and for those using walkers. It's just very accessible. They're awesome, very caring, and very knowledgeable. They're just very good people. We chose one that was a private room with a private bath. They're all very nicely-sized, very well kept up, and just very nice. My mom says the food is delicious. She's already participating in a Sunday worship, bingo, and all kinds of things. Everything is just nice, spacious, and it's clean. It's just very well laid out. The main common room is very nice, where they can hang out. She's just been there three days, but they're meeting all our expectations. It's very clean, nice, and very well-kept. I don't know the extent of what they offer, but their activity board looks very busy. She's only been there three days, but everything looks great.

I visited this facility

Clemmons Village II was too expensive for us. I only saw a one-bedroom. It just didn't appeal at all. It had a very gracious area outside with flowers, and it's been very well landscaped. When you first go in, there were quite a few residents in their wheelchairs with their heads hanging over (which is not what I'm looking for my mother). The lady there was very nice and showed me what I needed to see, but it wasn't acceptable because the room was too small. There were two buildings, so I went to the wrong one. The lady there at that one was just so nice and sent me on my way. She said she was the director over at that building. I went back to Clemmons Village II, and then met with the lady. She was very nice and answered all my questions. She was very thorough at explaining everything.

I cannot express how happy I have been with the staff at Clemmons Village II. They have taken such great care of my Uncle. He has been there several years now and feels right at home. He feels loved and cared for by the staff. I feel so comfortable with him being there and during this past year that has meant more than ever. Highly recommend this fine place if you are looking for a home for a loved one or yourself.

My mom has been a resident for over 5 years and our family has had relatives for over 20 years at Clemmons Village. They have received excellent care with kindness and understanding shown by the staff. An excellent facility.

The staff have been good to my dad. They answer my questions when I call or text to check on dad because of the Covid I haven’t been able to visit with him. Sometimes I ask for a picture of him so I can see how he’s doing. I am pleased!!

My mother enjoyed the staff and other residents until her dementia prevented her from participating. She loved the planned outings and trips to eat lunch and shop. She is cared for very well even though she is unable to say what she wants and needs.

I just moved my uncle into Clemmons Village last week. It looks like it's going to be pretty good. The staff did everything to suit our needs. The location is great for us since it's closer to my home, and the place is well kept. The rooms are of a good sized and nice. They provide plenty of activities.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

She’s at Clemons Village II. I just love it and she does too. She had adjusted there and she’s really really happy. She’s legally blind -- she has macular degeneration -- and Alzheimer’s/dementia, but she could walk down the hall and walk around. She goes outside and sits in the rocking chair. It’s probably 1500 dollars cheaper too. She’s got everything there: food, medical attention, and companionship. They have several levels of care. The staff is wonderful. The people there are very friendly. The room seems adequate; it’s clean. I had a meal there -- nothing fancy -- but just good food. They have entertainment out there as well. I happened to be there one time they were reminiscing with old songs. There were a lot of times I go over there and they’re vacuuming. I think they vacuum every day. The only thing I would like for them is to replace the carpet. They just took down wallpaper, upgraded the hallways, painted, done special things in the great area, and brought in new chairs. They’re still in the midst of doing that, but if they replace the carpet, I’ll give then a 5.

I am a friend or relative of resident

I have had both of my parents and an aunt in this facility. It is absolutely been a wonderful experience for each and every one of them. The management is excellent beginning with the Executive Director and all the way to the Dietary Manager. All the staff are very loving, caring and compassionate. The building is always very clean, neat and tidy and smells good. The food is very good and activities are wonderful. I have been truly blessed to have been a part of the Clemmons Village family. That is how they make you feel. It is very homelike from a decorative standpoint and also feels like home to the residents and families. I highly recommend if you are looking for a forever home, call the Executive Director and you will fall in love.

I did find a place for my mom at Clemmons Village II. It's a very nice place, and they have caregivers. She is happy out there. Everything is clean. She said the food is good, and from what I saw it looks good. I like that they give three showers a week. A lot of other facilities just give them two.
