I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My great Uncle was in the facility for less than 48 hours & had a bad fall. He broke his femur. He is a dementia patient & has had Parkinson’s for 25 years. He was admitted because of a broken hip—- they did not even put an alarm on his bed. They didn’t even contact the family until hours later because they lost the # & didn’t have it in his chart. My Uncle is in the critical care unit & is facing major surgery in the morning. This is a shame & affects so many people. When the person called my mom she laughed on the phone—- twice about the situation. They are being held accountable by WMC is my hope.

My husband is in Glenbridge Health and Rehab. It was a good place for the first 4 months my husband was there, before the blizzard in December. They provided excellent services. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but now they are understaffed because people could not go to work. The food was terrible. They have lots of activities for their residents. They have bingo, and balloon tennis, and they've had so many Christmas carolers in. They have discussion groups, and music therapy once a week from the university.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My dad was at Glenbridge Health and Rehab for about a week. The staff was not very responsive to the request for help. When we would ring for assistance, they would be very late responding. So, I ended up having to use private sitters 24 hours a day during the entire time he was there (they said that that's typical and that they're understaffed at this point). On top of that, they were not ready for my dad when he was transferred. I had told them prior that he was a fall risk, that he was very weak, and would try to get out of bed, but that fell on deaf ears. He fell within 8 hours of being there. They did not have padding on the floor around the bed and they were not watching him closely. After he fell, they finally put rubber mats around the bed and lowered the bed so that it wouldn't be at such a high height. Another thing was, that hey did not have to have his medications ready, so he went an entire night without his medicines. He was not able to sleep and was crying to leave the facility. His first day was terrible. It got better as the week went on, but the first day was just awful, and I was ready to take him out of there. Some of the staff were good though.

The kitchen staff are very rude to you. They don't like it when you ask for something for a resident especially if they are on break. They talk about people a lot. The food is not good anymore. Hasn't been sent 2 of there long time cooks quit. It's just my opinion that there's some that don't belong in the kitchen.

I placed my cousin at Glenbridge Health and Rehab. They've been excellent. I like mainly the office staff and the business manager. They have been wonderful working with us, waiting for her to get Medicaid, keeping us informed and calling. They've just been really, really good. Normally, they take them out, and they have people come in and sing, but it's limited now. The staff has been super nice to us. My cousin seems to like the food. She compares it with her mother who is in another place, and hers is better than her mom's. I haven't been in there. I had to look through the window and talk on the cellphone so often. Her room looked fine, and they found her a reclining chair and a nice bed. Everything seems good for her.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was in Glenbridge Health and Rehab for rehab for 15 months. It was very clean. The food wasn't the greatest, but it was the best you can get. Therapy was good. They had an activities department; I did puzzles mostly, but they had outings where they took patients some place. They had games, bingo, nail grooming, parties, and musicians would come and play music. The staff was good. It was just very expensive.

I visited this facility

I visit patients atleast once a week and when you walk through the front doors the front desk is very friendly, the cna's work their tales off trying to keep up. It is a clean facility but from speaking to employees and observing you can clearly see favorites in some departments. I am speaking of mainly kitchen area. The supervisor should be fair with work load. The gossiping and trash talk i have heard from that area should be stopped. Certain employees sit or stand around with the supervisor while a few work. There seems to be too much drama that leaks out into the halls. I realize they are more behind closed doors but it is clear things need to change in that area. The nurses station also should work on not ignoring people when someone stands at desk needing help. The housekeepers do a very nice job keeping it clean and are very friendly when passing in the halls. The physical therapy seems to work very hard with patients to get them back on their feet. The grounds is always clean and neat. Investigate your troubled areas and fix it and you will have a great facility.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

I had my daughter at Glenbridge, but the nursing staff was in transition. They didn't have enough help, and they really could not take care of her. At first it was wonderful, but then she got so agitated. Plus they could not get her medicines regulated. They would not restrain her, and they did not work with me as far as figuring out what was wrong with her. I had to hire sitters there 24/7 or I would be there with her. It was a comfortable place, and they had everything from rehab to long-term care to Alzheimer's unit. They were very comprehensive. She loved the activities. She played bingo, and they would give them bingo dollars. They had a little shop that they could go shopping to spend their bingo dollars and she loved that. They also had church services. Sometimes, she would go, sometimes she wouldn't. A choir would come and sing to them.
