I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My parents moved into Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living last July. A lot of the rooms are older, the room they are in is kind of awkward and small, and I was kind of expecting that. We've been trying to adjust things here and there to make it easy for them. They've been very helpful, but they're stretched thin like almost everybody is nowadays and with getting enough people to help. My parents seem to be doing well, and they have adjusted well. They're very busy, and just like all the other facilities, and I'm sure they're having issues with keeping people too, but they seem to be better at doing it than the last facility mom and dad were in. They have helpers and mom and dad are doing well there. I'm pretty happy with them. The staff is very nice and friendly and concerned when you mention things that you're worried about. So it's good to have somebody that will at least listen to you and try to implement something to help. So that's what they've been doing. With my parents, it's been an issue trying to get them to get out more and speak with other people and everything. So they have been good at doing that. They have like a little patio area where they take them out when they can when it's cool enough out there. And so they have got them out of their room and out of their comfort zone a little more. I'm kind of glad that they have done that. My parents love the food, so they're doing well with that.

I visited this facility

My tour experience at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living was very good. They sat down with me and answered all of my questions. They tried their best to help me qualify my dad so that he could stay there because it's an expensive facility (as most of these memory care facilities are). They tried their best to keep the room available for him. So, they were very accommodating and very understanding. They didn't have that many amenities in the memory care. They just have a fenced-in backyard, a game room (which was quite nice), and a non-denominational chapel where people from memory care and assisted living can gather.

I visited this facility

I visited Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living and it was very nice. We had a good visit with the administrator who showed us around and discussed the cost with us. I would definitely recommend it, but it's just less of a transition for my dad to stay where he is at. The administrator was extremely thorough and knowledgeable about things. She was very helpful.

I visited this facility

I visited Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living. What I liked best about them was probably their location; it's near where my friends are. What I liked least about them was that I didn't see a whole lot of interaction between the people who live there. They seemed to be somewhat by themselves and not the kind of interaction that I saw at some of the other places. I was not impressed at all. The other problem was that this was the first place I visited, and I sort of didn't know what to look for, and it wasn't till I began to visit a few others that I began to see. But I would suggest more structured opportunities for people to interact with each other, and they may have had that, and I just didn't notice. The person who toured me around was friendly and personable. The facilities were clean and taken care of.

My mom is at Deerfield Ridge and is doing great. So far, she's had a manicure session and she's had her hair done. A lot of activities aren't happening because of COVID and because she was in quarantine when she first got there; being a new resident. They have a full schedule, but she just hasn't been able to participate yet. They have a patio and a sun porch. They also have a TV room, a library, a spa, and a hairdresser place.

I visited this facility

My father is gonna go into Deerfield Ridge. We chose it because it was close. I'm gonna be living in Mountain City, Tennessee, so it's close to that, and when I did a search, it came up in the top ten. We did a tour about two or three weeks ago, and I very much liked the atmosphere of the facility. The staff was very sweet and very friendly.

I visited this facility

I did an undercover visit to Deefield Ridge by going there without an appointment, and I liked what I saw. Everything was very clean, everybody was really nice, and the residents looked happy. The dining area and the staff were very nice. I liked everything about the place. I saw residents going through their daily routine, like taking walks or reading, the staff was paying attention to them and making sure they were OK.

Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living was nice and clean, and the director was nice. The staff who I came across was nice as well. The room was quite small, but everything else was really nice. We are not ready for it yet.

I had a loved one at this facility in the Alzheimer unit. I love the people here. They make you feel like you are visiting in your loved ones home. The Alzheimer Unit is very secured and very great atmosphere. I would recommend this to anyone

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The apartments are very nice at Deerfield Ridge. I am a little upset with them today though because they just called me and said my mom has no clothes. I was there yesterday, and she had her closet full of clothes. I'm 45 minutes away, I had no plans on going today, but I'm going to have to go to straighten this out. The staff is very great. They have bingo, cards, nature walks, crafts, and beauty day. She loves crafts, and she is a painter, although her dementia got her to where she doesn't do much anymore. It is very secure. My mother has only been here for a month. The food is wonderful, and they're giving snacks all the time.

I visited this facility

I thought Deerfield Ridge was nice, and we will definitely consider it if we relocate to that area. I was very impressed with the director there. She immediately met with us and gave us a tour of the facility. She was so warm and very welcoming. She asked very appropriate questions about my family member. I was impressed with her knowledge and her approach with folks with Alzheimer's. The facilities were clean and beautiful. The residents who were there seemed very happy in their interactions with one another. The staff seemed very professionally attired, and I saw them interacting with the residents, so they seemed very professional. I have looked at a lot of facilities like Deerfield Ridge, and often I find they don't seem to be quite as informed about the needs of the residents with a memory disorder. Deerfield Ridge seems to be aware of that, and I was impressed.

I visited this facility

My visit at Deerfield Ridge Assisted Living is great. Walking into the facility, it has a very cozy and warm environment. The staff was very friendly. They showed me all around and took their time with me. It was really a good experience. They have a private room, and then they also have a room with two beds for two people for their memory care unit. They have two separate dining rooms; one is for the memory care unit, and one is for the other part. It is very nice.
