The Bristal Assisted Living at White Plains is a very nice facility. It's very well kept, very well organized, and it's clean. The people seem pretty happy there, and one lady lived to 101 now. I guess she's really happy, and still living there. The staff were pretty good. They're nice, convenient, and cordial. The rooms are very pretty and very spacious. It's bright and airy, and it feels like they have their own little apartment in the room. They have a dining area, another sitting room, and a family room. They have a few family rooms if you want to just be with the family and have a birthday. They set it up pretty nicely. It's fairly new. They made it like a small country club at one end. I had coffee there, and it was good. They play cards, or sometimes they take them out on trips or shows. There's a Broadway theater that I forgot the name of. They'll do certain things with them. The people seemed happy there. I wouldn't mind living there, but it's really expensive. You have to have money to live there. It's very clean, and it's inviting to go into. When you go visit your family, you don't feel horrible that you left them there. It doesn't give you that impression.

I toured The Bristal at White Plains. The place was very nice and very pleasant. It was very well kept and clean. I did have lunch there. It was very good, nice, and hot. The salad was fresh, and there was lots of variety. The staff was very nice, very pleasant, and knowledgeable. The rooms were very nice. I saw the residents in the game room, and it seemed like they were very busy with their games. If the residents wanted to go shopping in town, they had a car service that would take them to tend to their needs. This facility was located right across the street from a medical facility.

My friend is at The Bristal at White Plains. She has a lovely one-bedroom, she has a little living room, her quarters are quite nice, and she's very happy with them. Now they're starting to let them go to the movies, so you make a reservation and ten people can go. She is in the independent living, but she does get help because she needs it sometimes. Also, she has hired one of the aides who works there four days a week, and she has her for two hours after she has finished with her shift. Sometimes they just sit and talk, so she has this aide she likes, so that's good for her. They have a library, a movie theater, and a hair salon, but she only comes in once a week and is not there all the time. I really didn't meet any staff because when I was there it was always in the afternoon, and we were either taking my friend out for lunch or just visiting with her outside when the weather was still good. They change staff, and they're short-staffed a lot of the time because people don't show up, but the facility is lovely, and they have just renovated it, so they've put in all-new carpeting and new paintings, and she said it's very nice.

My mom has been at The Bristal White Plains for over 3 years. We are so happy with facility, knowing she is well taken care of. It is always clean and cheerful looking, there are enough activities to do or not do as much you like to do....the staff is wonderful! We also know that as her needs change we have made transitions with thoughtful guidance by the director. It has been a very positive place for mom. Highly recommend!!

From my first visit to look into assisted living the staff of the Bristal has been amazing. Someone has always been available to answer questions and provide assistance. The professionalism is impressive, the overall appearance of the facility is clean and attractive and I feel good about the level of care my Mother is receiving. The fact that people are willing and available to work patiently with me on such a vital issue is important. I would highly recommend the Bristal to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

My grandmother lived at The Bristal White Plains for nearly one year. Every single person there took such excellent care of her. Every staff member knew her by name and took the time to speak with her. They always had an anecdote to share with us about something she'd said or done which always made us feel like they knew her well. Her somewhat picky food habits were addressed beautifully which led to her being well-nourished. She lived in both the assisted living and then moved on to the Reflections Unit when her condition deteriorated. Both of her rooms were beautiful! The housekeeping staff were all diligent about keeping her room nice and neat. She had regular hair and manicure appointments and we were more than pleased with the results. The recreation therapists were always working on a fun activity or doing an interesting/fun project with the residents. There is a beautiful exercise room and amazing movie theatre, too! There are scheduled off-campus trips for shopping, religious services, and local restaurant lunches or dinners. Her laundry was done on an appropriate schedule and she was always beautifully dressed. I highly recommend the Bristal White Plains for you and your family.
