The Gables and Brighton were very nice. James, the staff member, took a lot of time to explain a lot of things. They were flexible on time. You can be there for a week, a month, or several months. I think it was up to the individual on how much care they needed. There seemed to be enough people. They brought different people in and they had different activities. The facilities are very nice, and very well kept up.

The Gables of Brighton was very well taken care of on the outside and the Inside. The studio apartment I will move into has a kitchen that's two and a half times larger than the kitchen I have in my present apartment. There's like a half-split wall to separate your bedroom and living room. It had a large bathroom. The living room is huge compared to a couple of other places. So, they're very spacious studios. Plus, they come with a piggyback washer and dryer in every apartment on the second and third floors (except on the first floor). It's very well kept up. It's three stories and they have numerous elevators. It's not like it's one centralized elevator. They probably have six or eight elevators in the building. The people were very pleasant and very easy to get along with.

The Gables of Brighton was very nice in terms of the layout of the rooms. I liked the fact that it had a highly usable kitchen. There's a stove, an oven, and a microwave so one could do their own cooking if necessary. They all had levels of activities. The demographics they have now are very good. The people did an excellent job of representing the place.

We have settled on The Gables of Brighton, but my mom is in the hospital right now and we're not sure what her disposition is going to be. The Gables of Brighton is close to me and my brothers, so it's easy for us to visit. We were very impressed with the quality of the facility. It's very modern, it looks like a hotel, and the rooms are quite large. Even though we're just looking at a one-bedroom, that's plenty of space for my mom. We enjoyed working with the staff. James has been in charge of getting us on board. Even though we haven't signed with them, he's been thoroughly professional, and we've enjoyed working with him. We hope to work with him in the near future once my mom's disposition is settled. We didn't try the meals, but I was very impressed with the quality of the meals that they were making. They looked restaurant-style, not institutional style. They had very healthy ingredients, and the food looked delicious. For amenities, they have pretty much everything a senior would need. They have activity rooms, and they have a kitchen and snacks available all the time. The dining room is very nice. Everyone who we spoke with, who are residents there, were very happy with the place. As most places do, they also have an ambassador program to help my mom move in smoothly and have friends right away. Physical therapy is available on-site, and that was a big deal for us. They can increase my mom's level of care at an additional cost. Currently, she uses a walker and she's able to get dressed, although it's a little slow, we would be willing to take advantage of those extra services as needed. Most of the units have laundry facilities inside the apartments, which is very nice. It's a very nice setting. It's a setback along a creek and has very nice views. The hallways are very large and very wide, so we didn't appreciate any safety issues. James was able to secure a unit on the ground floor for Mom and hopefully will be able to take advantage of that once she gets out of the hospital. And she may need to go to rehab a little bit before she's able to start, but they've been very accommodating with waiting for her.

We saw a lot of different rooms at The Gables of Brighton. We probably saw over 10 different rooms, ranging from a 1-bedroom to a studio. All the rooms had a washer and dryer, which I was very impressed with. I liked the setup. One hallway on the main floor is where all the different services were, like the dining room, hair salon, library, game room, and stuff like that. Everything was very conveniently located for activities. We saw people doing jigsaw puzzles. People were hanging out in the lounges. You could tell they were down in the common areas waiting for lunch to start. They gave us a printout of their daily calendar, and we could see what was going on during the day. They were doing a lot of renovations to the rooms, which is always a good thing.

I'm at The Gables of Brighton now. I liked the concept that it had both independent, and gradually you could move to assisted living with a small extra payment per month until it reached $500 a month for complete assisted living. I have a studio and my apartment is quite sufficient. It has a kitchen with a stove and refrigerator, cabinet shelves, and a washer and dryer all in the kitchen. That's plenty big, but it's a challenge. Still, I'm finding room for the items that I brought. You can get a la carte assisted living services, so you only pay for what you need. They have an exercise room and a hairdresser. I'm happy so far. The staff is very helpful. They also provide food like breakfast and dinner, and if you don't go, you don't go. The food is average, it's not spectacular or inadequate. They have an exercise room with a bike and a treadmill, two or three pieces of equipment, and they have PT if you would need it. I've only been here a couple of days so I'm still getting settled in.

I went to The Gables of Brighton. They were the only one that was willing to work with me on the meals. When I talked to them on the phone, they said they can try to work with my preference for meals, so that's why I went and toured that place. The staff was great and they listen to your needs, especially with meals. They haven't implemented that in their meals yet, but they were willing to work with it and that was the most important part. The rooms looked good. They're renovating the place, so they're charging higher prices for the ones that are renovated versus the older ones. With those renovations, it gets a little pricier for the individual for the same amount of space. They had an activities calendar. I didn't pay too much close attention to what was on it. They mentioned they do some outings and the seniors sign up if they want to go grocery shopping, and they take them once a week or whatever. Transportation is included, which is good. They said that transportation to your doctors' appointments was included as well, which some places charge you for that. They were easy to work with and talk to and they were accommodating. The facility was a little outdated or older.

We have been there for 2 years paying our rent regularly, now new management raised rent 8%, chargied my Mom $150 late fee (haven't changed a thing in bill pay) and threatened eviction. Mind you, they have cashed all her rent checks and her lease isn't up until March. Maybe this is why they have so many vacancies.

I toured The Gables of Brighton and that was exquisite. Their receptionist was nice and friendly. I think I met the director or the manager, and she showed us around. She showed me a 1-bedroom studio. I really approved of them. Everything was included. It was $150 a month for food. If you want a snack later on the night, that's also included. You just call the kitchen, I guess. They also had their activities. They go out on outings. They had an ice cream social when I was leaving there.

The Gables of Brighton was great. They showed us six different examples of apartments. The apartments were way larger than I thought and very nice. We had the executive director accompanied us along with the lady who manages the apartments. They were very informative, professional, and willing to answer any questions. They had everything, including a beauty parlor and an exercise room. The other clients that we met were friendly and some were sitting outside. They were very friendly and nice. I found them to be very clean and I saw nothing that needed maintenance. They looked like they were well cared for.

The Gables of Brighton is nice and my mother likes it. The staff is good, her apartment is really nice, and she really likes the food. Her room is a very nice studio apartment and she really likes it. The layout of the place is good, there's lots of friendly people there. There's bingo and she also went to some sort of Veterans Day show that she liked. The staff is very helpful and nice. They have a nice dining room and she said that the food is always good and hot.

The Gables of Brighton is actually in my top four. It's very clean, the residents seem to be very happy there, the food is very good, and the meal service seemed very well-run. We're impressed; it's one of the possibilities for my parents. The first visit I met with Julie who was the executive director, and the second visit I toured with Michael who was from sales. Both were very thorough, they answered my questions, and followed up with me. They were very conscientious; it was a really good visit.

We visited the Gables of Brighton. We were looking at their independent living, and it was interesting to see and to talk to people there. It seemed like a very nice place, it seemed well run, and the people seemed happy there. The apartment was nice, more spacious than I expected, and they had a lot of activities. They're renovating some of the places; the dining room had just been renovated.

My cousin has moved into The Gables of Brighton. They are doing a great job of making her almost happy. Her room is clean. They have a lot of activity. They have exercise room, hairdresser, library, piano, dining room, and social room. The dining room is clean and bright with a varied menu. They provide nice service, too. They pay attention to special requests. The staff members are warm and caring. They have a book discussion, they have somebody playing the piano, they have card games, they have bingo, and they have cultural trips and shopping trips. There is somebody who can do shopping for you if you are not able.

My mother is doing great at The Gables of Brighton. She is very happy there. It's a very comfortable place. They're active. There's nothing negative. The staff is marvelous, absolutely wonderful, helpful, caring, and watching out for her. Her room is an apartment, very warm, comfortable, and it's got great windows. The dining area is welcoming, elegant, spacious, and clean. The food is sometimes a 10, sometimes a 5.

We visited the nice independent living level of The Gables of Brighton. Everybody had a little patio or a little balcony. The rooms were very nice and clean. The dining area was very lovely and served two meals a day. They had a salon, a fitness area, and transportation service.

Brookdale Brighton was very nice. They showed me a 1-bedroom and a 2-bedroom, and they were very nice, a good-size, and livable. They layout was good and I liked it. The staff member was very knowledgeable, pleasant, and nice. I enjoyed talking to them, and I had a pretty good experience with them.

Brookdale Brighton was landscaped really nicely. It was kind of woodsy, but the place was beautiful and clean. The staff was wonderful, but I thought the apartments were small. They have exercise classes which I thought was nice. I was very impressed.

We were treated very warmly at Brookdale Brighton. All of our questions were answered. They went to a lot of trouble to make sure our questions were fully answered. It was a nice tour. It was a very enjoyable experience. It was fully informative and very useful in the sense that they answered our questions. They gave us a feeling for “how” and not just what people were doing but how they were doing it. It wasn’t all that big, it was more of an intimate feeling, but it was located near everything that we wanted to go and see.

Brookdale Brighton was fine, friendly, and very focused on independent living. My friend was not able to take advantage of that, but it was good. They had outside services that come in to assist people, which is interesting. They’re independent living, but then outside services come in to help keep people there, so they don’t have to leave. That’s very helpful. It didn’t meet our needs though, but I could see where it would meet other people’s need.

I like Brookdale Brighton for my aunt. It was lovely, but the only problem was, for someone with dementia, there were too many hallways to go down to get to the main area. The staff that I talked to was nice. The rooms were nice, and the bathrooms were set up with towels and shower curtains.

My tour at Brookdale Brighton was pretty good. Their apartments are very nice. My uncle has a very roomy studio apartment. The only complaint I have would be with the food. They have a new chef, and the food hasn’t been that great. They have a pond in the back and a couple of seats where the residents can sit. Activities include going to concerts and having someone come in, usually once or twice a week, to give a concert.

The Gables at Brighton was beautiful with also beautiful rooms. They offered driving to doctor’s appointments and to grocery stores. The staff was very nice, the food was good, and the cost was reasonable. I think they have everything, like they can get their hair done, exercises, music room, gauging people in different things, and reading groups. It is not assisted living, so they didn’t have medical back up, but I think they should have a medical back up in case they fall.

Gables at Brighton was nice, but they only do like all inclusive, and I was looking for more of a meal program where you wouldn't have to go down every breakfast, lunch, and dinner with everybody and you could just pay as you go, and they do not offer that.

Gables at Brighton was clean. It was spacious and nice. It was a good place to be. It was really homey. They have arts and crafts. It was very nice. Regarding the neighborhood, it's a very busy residential area, but it is kind of set back a little bit, so that makes it nice. It's convenient. It is near a hospital.

The Gables at Brighton is in a pretty wooded area, but it is centrally located. There are a lot of things very close by, i.e., grocery store and the doctors. The apartments were lovely. They weren't huge, but they were plenty big enough. The views out the window were beautiful. You can have a nice walk around the place. There are three meals a day. There are a lot of things to do. The Gables was very nice. The staff seemed to be very pleasant. It was my favorite of all of them, but it was way too expensive for me. The dining area was lovely. It wasn't too big. In terms of activities, there were something every day and there were things that I would have enjoyed. They have a bus that takes you places. They have pool table. They have concerts. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

My father is at the Gables right now. I really like it. For what we need it for, it's just fine for him. They have little programs during the day, 10 o'clock is exercise. The food is very good, and the cleanliness is awesome. It's a very nice environment. It has very nice energy, is bright, and it has been awesome. They have their own apartments. Because some people don't want to just sit around their house and watch TV by themselves, probably, they have a TV room where they can all share the same TV, but at 7 o'clock, they watch movies together, so I guess that would be fine.

Dad was at the Gables of Brighton, but he became ill and needs to go back to the hospital. He was only there for a month. The place was very nice and they took care of my father.

My sister and I toured this facility and happened to like it. As a matter of fact we just moved our father there last week. The price is very reasonable. I like that they provide transportation to appointments. They have a lot of good diverse schedule of activities. Most of all I really like their dining facility. It's really huge and it's like a restaurant than like a dining hall. There are different plans one can sign up for. There's not a breakfast or lunch but a brunch. So the brunch is included everyday but the dinner it's extra and you can sign up for 10 meals a month, 20 or 30. We had him for 20 meals a month. His apartment is nice. The staff seemed caring.
