Wheatfield Commons was nice and modern. It was clean. The staff was not so great but overall, mom had her own apartment there, and it was just nice and modern. It's like a hotel. It was very welcoming. Not like these other places. It's just a matter of the staff again. The staff at night wasn't very good. I felt like they weren't checking on the residents like they were supposed to be. She had fallen several times and no one came in for a long time. The dining area was very nice. They did chair yoga, bingo, arts and crafts, and stuff like that. It was just so expensive.

My father moved into Wheatfield Commons. The place is gorgeous. The personnel are very friendly and helpful. I have no complaints. The food is a hit-and-miss according to my father. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's not so good. They have daily activities of all sorts, either painting or bingo. They take them on little trips out to restaurants. The care that they give my father is wonderful. They come in, do the laundry, and clean his room. He's got a little GPS monitor, so they know where he is all the time. His safety is a big concern, so they're very good with that. Before breakfast, lunch, or dinner, they come by the room and tell him that breakfast is ready. If the resident could not get down to the dining room, they would bring it to the room. They ask you how often you'd like to be checked on, like if it's every 1, 2, or 3 hours. So they're always keeping an eye on where you're at and whether you're safe. It's a very nice facility with very caring staff. They respond quickly to any issues or questions you have. I have never had to call twice to get a report on how my father was doing. I was very, very fortunate to find this facility.

Westfield Commons is beautiful. It looks like it came straight out of an HGTV episode, warm and welcoming , with several gathering spaces to accommodate a variety of social needs and preferences. There are a beautifully appointed game room for card and board game players, a parlor for quiet conversation or reading, a kitchen for cooking or baking, a larger gathering space for special events , (of which there are a never ending variety) and a charming community dining room. The private rooms range in size from good sized studio apartments to larger, one bedroom apartments all of which are very nicely appointed with window and floor coverings in fashionable neutrals. There are spacious closets and a bathroom with a walk in shower equipped with grab rails. The staff is highly professional, warm, friendly and very accomodating. Best of all, they are in good supply, there at a moment's notice when the residents need them, not under scheduled as I've observed several other facilities. Quality personal care is the obvious top priority at Wheatfield Commons for which my very active and sharp-as-a-tack 99 year old mother, my family and I are eternally grateful. I can't recommend Wheatfield Commons and DePaul too highly!

Wheatfield Commons is a beautiful place, and I absolutely loved it. They have big, beautiful rooms, nice common areas, and kitchen areas. They only have 20 residents in the memory care unit. Its one floor. The grounds are very nice and set back off the road, so its like a country setting. The staff is very knowledgeable. Im on a wait list right now.

We are very happy with what we've seen in Wheatfield Commons so far. The staff members are very attentive and they know what they're doing. We've had no issues whatsoever. It's a new senior place and it looks aesthetically pleasing, very clean, and well-maintained. It's also easy for the patients to get around in because of the way it's laid out, so I 'm very happy with that. They have a beautiful garden outside that they're putting in now since it's already spring. We like everything so far.
