I am/was a resident of this facility

I went to Greenfield Continuing Care Community for rehab. It had PT and OT, and so I had 2 weeks of both. I’m home and doing well. I had a good experience. They were good to me, and the PT there was absolutely terrific. The rooms were semi-private, and it was fine. The nurses there are absolutely terrific. The food is as good as you can get in an institution, but you can have almost any choice you can dream of. I went to a Bingo and that was fun, but they could do a little better. They have church services, but they need to have more types of worship service. The rooms were clean, fine, but they need updating.

Greenfield was a truly horrible experience for our family. The facade is wonderful and inviting, however the Management was below sub-par in some of the 'Business Units' .. particularly The Terrace. Management leaves at PRECISELY 4pm each day and the Resident care degrades dramatically from a level that is unimpressive to begin with. Staff was observed serving Residents meals while food the Servers were consuming was literally hanging from their mouths. After diner Residents were left in their rooms or ignored while Staff curled up in the lounge chairs watching TV of the Staff's choosing and attention paid only to their phones. in retrospect, the above would have been acceptable if were not what followed. When the facility Manager was on the verge of being exposed for extremely poor decisions, our Resident was forced out through many calls to the EMT, trips to the hospital for 'falls' and then a predetermined refusal to allow for the Residents return. To the extreme of denying return, and leaving the Resident in the Hospital ER after release from exam until 2am on a Holiday ... at which point the Hospital re-admitted the 98 year old just to provide them with a bed for the evening. The Resident never returned to their living quarters at the Terrace and the "problem" of the Managers prior bad decisions went away ... as did We, Praise the Lord. Avoid this facility, especially Memory Care. The Sales Brochure is wonderful, the experience is not.

My mother had been in Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center three times this year for a month at a time. The rehab was fantastic. The physical therapy was very good. It's like a hospital with shared rooms and private rooms. The staff was good. They didn't have many activities.

Needs work!

My mother was there last summer and contracted C-Diff there. The place was infested with house flies and any complaints are met with the attitude of "it's not my job." No one will take any responsiblity when you complain. It's was a lot better when she was there 10 years ago. I would not recommend this facility as it is poorly run. They definitely need to hire someone to shape it up.

there is not 24/7 care as they state. Employees quitting or getting fired continually.

We have now, personally had four experiences with this outstanding facility. My, sister-double knee replacements, my Mother-in-law, a knee replacement and my Mother, a reverse shoulder and, now her second re-hab after a togh bout of pneumonia and congestive heart failure at 87 years old. The ENTIRE staff of nurses, aides, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, facilities personnel, dining staff and Tanya (Mom's Co-ordinator) have been KIND, CARING, PATIENT (both with Mom and we six Adult children), SKILLED, PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY, P-L-E-A-S-A-N-T! ATTENTIVE, Did I say PATIENT and CARING? They collaborative spirit for WELLNESS and TEAM and PATIENT FIRST in this facility is second to none. Against all odds, this team was able to get our Mom strong enough to have come home with us this week. NOT A SMALL FEAT AT 87. I would love to name each and every person who made her convalescence so great, but am afraid that I might miss one of them because there were so many who did SO MUCH, ALL THE TIME. The facility is clean, bright and as attractive as that type of an environment can possibly be made. If you have a need for your self or a loved one, THIS IS THE PLACE FOR Rehabilitation, Period. With Heartfelt Grattitude, -The Family of Rosemarie Roaldi

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was at Greenfield two months ago after I had a knee replacement. Was a shorter stay than I expected but I felt good about going home, the therapists are great. They didn't make me feel like they were trying to move me through like a conveyor belt which I felt at another facility, they really cared. Nursing staff is good, aides are ok. Food is better at home but it was certainly edible.

My grandfather lives at the Greenfields Manor for years now. When entering the MANOR the receptionist is mean , rude and very ignorant. Ive never once seen her smile let alone acknowledge ones presence. She very unpleasant and nasty to the employees and residents, which seem to annoy her. If you try to ask her a general question she acts as if your making her job a million times harder. Besides that its a fairly alright facility. The cleanseines is somewhat average, besides the floors are always sticky, dirty and wreak of vinger and the bathrooms arent always the greatest either. For the meals they prepare and serve they are rarly consistent in quality and lack flavor . In the last year the quality of the meals and food in the dinning room has declined drastically. Sadly It is unpredictable and unconsistant. I Always hear the residents say dont they taste the food they make for they serve it ?, How do they expect us to eat something they wouldnt eat? BUT if you do ever visit you must visit their CAFE it is out of this world Delicious. The young lady /Chef that prepairs the food/Meals is amazing, always friendly and prefessional. Everything she makes us to eat is mouth watering delicious, always fresh And appetizing to thee eye. She makes a homemade special of the day everyday too. Mu favorites are her mac and cheese., homemade White pizza fresh mozzarella tomato salad ans lastly her chicken souvalki salad are soooo good. She is a gem, she even knows everyone by name and knows what all the regulars like to orders, which helps out alot with the volunteering system they have. I almost always prefer to eat in their cafe rather than the dinning room , Its alot cheaper, the food taste alot better and the atmosphereis all around is more family friendly. They better hope she never leaves them. Cause shes what makes that cafe what it is...shes that good! I wish i could have her as my personal chef at home,????. Overall im fairly satisfied with the overall care my grandpa receives at the greenfields minus a few quarks. Ok now im hungry talking about all that good food in the cafe, Its a beautiful day to go visit grandpa and his friends at the cafe at. The Greenfields!!!

I am a friend or relative of resident

My Mom was at this facility a couple of Christmases ago on A unit, and something went wrong with the call light system one day. No one seemed to be able to explain what. So, instead of fixing the problem, they gave each resident a metal "cow bell" to jingle for assistance. This went on for a whole week. More than once, I came in to see Mom, and she had to wait at least 45 minutes to use the bathroom, because no one knew which room the ringing was coming from, plus they are always sitting around the front desk talking. One time a male nurse (Paul) stormed into her room and was very irate with Mom. And all she wanted was her breathing treatment, which he practically threw at her. I have complained several times, but it just gets swept under the rug, like everything else, apparently.

GreenField is the best place I've ever seen. It is expensive though. If I win the lottery, I'm going there. It is extraordinary. The cleanliness, the décor, the caliber of everything, and the people - They are superior in everything. They have trips and movies. They have the usual stuff. Anything that is out there, they do. The people working there were outstanding. GreenField is as perfect as they can get, but I can't afford it. With GreenField's food, they have home-made soups twice a day everyday of the week. You name it, they have it. It was extraordinary. I was in there in rehab, but I did see the assisted living and the nursing home part, and I thought, if I have money, I would stay there.

GreenField has everything -- e.g., nursing home, rehab, assisted living, apartments -- and the last thing they've added is a separate unit for Alzheimer's patients. I was a patient there for rehab when I had both my hips done. The staff was very accommodating and very helpful. Their rehab program is probably one of the best there is because it is a dedicated rehab program. To illustrate that, GreenField rehab had their own living section and their own menus, and they eat in the separate dining room. It was outstanding.

We looked at The Greenfields. The facility seemed to be very large. This was our No. 2. This was another one we thought very highly of. It had everything. We have a dog, and that was our concern. We want to be sure we could take our dog with us, and The Greenfields would allow that. The staff was very nice and very helpful. The rooms were very nice. They were a pretty good size.

The atmosphere at Greenfield was like a hotel, very plush, beautiful, and very restful. The rooms were very nice and very livable. The dining room was beautiful, and the scenery there was as well; it's out in the country. They had apartments outside like a motel where you can drive up in front of your place. The people were wonderful and pleasant, the staff was very polite, and they had church services.

Greenfield Terrace states they do a lot of activites with the residents, but they don't. The quality of care is good but people with dementia need to be stimulated, The Care Partners are not properly trained in how to stimulate and work with people with dementia. They have a calendar of activities but I can assure you, especially at night, not much is going on. The residents are bored and plunking them in front of the TV at night or on the weekends is not a mind-stimulating activity. An activites director needs to be hire...For five thousand dolllars a month, the residents should be getting more than that. Don't tell me you can't afford an activities director. The advertisements say the residents help with meals, cooking etc. No they don't. Also, they eat their meals when it's convenient fo the staff, not the people who live there. Lunch at noon, dinner at five. Whose needs are you trying to meet? Also, why can't you take them out on outing...they are BORED! Step it up Greenfield Terrace. False Advertising is not legal.

I visited this facility

We visited Greenfield; it’s an assisted living, and they also have rehab, skilled nursing, and senior housing there too. The place was spacious and clean. It had lot of activities available, and it had outside activities that they could be involved with if they wanted to. I like the fact that they also had skilled nursing level and the other one is assisted living level, so it was nice because my parents could visit each other. The staff was all very helpful, informative, and friendly. They said we could come back for a meal, but we actually ate at their café which was available to their assisted living and independent living people -- it’s volunteer based -- and it was very good. I would recommend the place for sure. Greenfield hit every checklist except for location because it is like 45 minutes from where my in-laws live. Greenfield is the best facility and pricing too; they are comparable. I was surprised that they were not super high.

When you walk in to the rehabilitation section of GreenFields, it’s like walking into a hotel lobby. It's gorgeous. This facility was really nice. This gal who's in assisted living there has her own little suite, and they come and check every hour to make sure she's OK. They have a fine dining room where you go, and they have waiters wait on you. Everything was clean. It’s like going to a resort. Everything is top rate.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My dad had to be placed really fast when he got out of the hospital and his sister was already in Greenfield Terrace. They are in the same house. I think the process of getting him in there was pretty easy. The faculty is great. They are great to work with. The facility is very nice and new and clean. They are always available to answer your questions. The staff has been great. If an individual staff member can't answer your question, they will find someone who can. They have activities especially with exercise. They also have music. They also do things out of the community. They do provide transportation to the residents. One of the things that I think they really excel in is that they make it like home for the residents. They really make it homey. They don’t push the residents to do anything that they don’t want to do. They make them feel as comfortable as possible. I haven’t eaten there, but I know that the food is made by a chef and it looks delicious. My dad loves it. The only thing that I think that has been a very minor problem was the communication between the staff.

I went to Greenfield Terrace and it was okay, but it seemed isolated to me and they are expensive. Everybody looked like they are contained in a little 12-room unit. The person that gave me a tour of the place was friendly and informative. What I liked with the facility is that they have continuum of care.

I visited this facility

When my mother fell, she had to go to the hospital and thereafter went to Greenfield Health and Rehabilitation Center. When we were going to visit her on mother's day, my sister-in-law called and said that mom was worried on what would I think of her room, which I though was a very unusual comment. Then, when I got there, I knew why she said it. Before we left I said something to her about washing her face and she said the aid came in and said her face didn't looked dirty, so it didn't need to be washed. They left her naked on the toilet one day for an hour and a half, which was why my brother in law who lived there took her out of there.

Friend or relative of resident

This modern facility has taken great care of my grandmother, as well as the friends who she made while living there. They had nutritious food, a swimming pool used for physical therapy, friendly nurses and staff, and were always offering a helping hand when a resident needed it. My grandmother needed physical therapy help for an injury and the physical therapists always had a smile and caused her to heal quickly. The staff was always kind to her, took great care of her, and their aid was a huge relief to our entire family, due to the fact that we knew she was in good hands. If there were any serious health problems with her, I was aware that she would get the help that she needed, which would not have been possible if she was living solely in her own apartnment without any aid. They are a significant help for elderly who need it, have a great staff, and their modern facility makes residents feel quite at home. Whoever is considering becoming a resident at Greenfield won't be disappointed

My loved one used this service

Called the doctor many times - not once did he return my call. Didnt seem, to know what was going on with my father. Would always defer to therapists and nurses who seemed to know more about the patient than he did. Not at all impressed. Pretty place but they need to spend more on good doctors than fancy chairs
