The facilities are more than adequate. Everything is clean and well cared for. As soon as I walked in the door, I felt the wonderful, encompassing welcome energy of the place. The staff is loving and caring, and listens! As one becomes infirm, help is available for hire. The attached skilled nursing facility has been really helpful for me, as I recovered from two surgeries. As I was discharged, I was able to walk back to my apartment! The dining room serves three meals a day, and the menu is varied. The cost of food is not part of your rent, so that you can eat in your room, and not feel as though you are wasting money. There is a chapel, a hobby room, an exercise area, along with various offices on the first floor as well as the dining room. The upper floors each have a large lounge area for people to gather and talk, play games, put together puzzles, watch movies, etc. Very nice place, all around!

I came to Manzano after hip replacement surgery. I had a bright, very clean room looking on the winter garden. The staff, from top to bottom, was friendly, responsive, and concerned. My calls were answered promptly. The food was varied, well-prepared, and attractively served. Josh and Carla, my therapists, were skilled and visited daily to help me regain my mobility and learn the skills needed to go home and thrive. The nursing and care staffs were equally attentive, helping me be comfortable and regaining my abilities. Everyone worked together, including the Social Worker, my Case Manager, the in-house doctor, the nurse-practitioner, the nursing staff, the care staff, and even the cleaning staff, to make my stay pleasant and send me home ready to resume my life. Thank you to each and every one.

I had found Good Samaritan Society Manzano del Sol Village for myself. My mother lived there for many years. She passed in 2020. Good Samaritan Society Manzano del Sol Village was very nice. They did some remodeling during the pandemic, so it's been updated, and a lot of stuff is freshly painted, new wood floors, and that kind of thing. The staff who assisted me was very thorough about giving me all the information. I have tried the food plenty of times before, and it was good. They have a nice exercise room with some new equipment. They have meditation, acupuncture, trips out in their van, and all kinds of clubs and card games and stuff like that. They have the same things that most other places offer. The rooms were perfectly nice. I'm taking a one-bedroom, and it's exactly like the one my mother lived in, which is plenty of room for me. I have a room that's going to be overlooking the inner courtyard, which is a nice view looking at the Sandia Mountains. They only offer one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms, but that's fine because I just wanted a one-bedroom. I have full kitchens, and that's the other thing I like. None of the other places I looked at had full kitchens. I also like that there are not a lot of turnovers in the staff. The place is very nice. They've got a beautiful inner courtyard with beautiful gardens, and it looks nice.

My mother is in the Good Samaritan Society - Manzano del Sol Village. They've got great staff, all the way through, from nursing to housekeeping, to facilities, to food services, just real caring staff. She loves the food. They have activities, an activity director, and an assistant director. Unfortunately, my mom is not able to participate because she's not able to get out of bed, but they've been trying to work with her and bring her books to read. They're pretty responsive.
