I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mom has been in Ivystone Senior Living for the last 3 years. The blinds are a mess; they’re bent, and some blinds are missing. I did ask about a month ago to see if they’ll give her new blinds. They haven’t renewed her blinds. There were other issues, but it seemed like the other issues have gotten better.
Whenever I go, the food looks good, and it’s always a healthy amount. The only thing I’ve seen them do lately was play bingo, and they were doing some arts and crafts with them about a week or two ago.

My mother moved into Ivystone Senior Living. It's not extravagant, but it's very clean, and everybody smiles and is happy. The care seems to be very good. The staff is very good, very accommodating, and they've done everything to make my mother feel comfortable. They seem to be concentrating more on the care than beautifying the facility.

There is a huge infestation of bed bugs, I have gone in and cleaned her room many times. We spray and put BB traps down, We spray Isopropyl alcohol on the carpet and line the bed with fabric softener sheets. We are trying to do our part. I know they spent the summer heating rooms but I think this just moved the bugs to different areas. Now I find out that cockroaches are running the halls and rooms. I have seen mice on many trips running the halls.
Poor service: I have written a few letters with no reply back. I have tried calling many times for different situations and have been left on hold for twenty minutes at a time. I have even tried calling when it is not during a busy med time or lunch hour. The employees are nice to me but need to help in keeping a daily monitoring of the infestations. Our parents should not have to live like this.

Yes, there is a big time mice problem and the issue is and was not taken care of. Dropping in the bedroom on the floor and the resident who are walking on the floor is bring this into their beds. dropping on the clothes that were in her hamper along with a sheet that was on the shelf in the closet. I did see one mice run across the floor in the common area.
My mother had clothes that had her name placed in them, but still she is wearing other people clothes and have other clothes hanging in her closet.
She was taken to the hospital one morning and was wearing a medium sweatshirt and pants with a broken zipper and quess what my mother wears a 2x.
I am not sure how offend they are bathe there but, form a Sunday to a Saturday she had on the same socks, We bathe her and her wash cloth or towel was not to be located, so we asked for one of each we were given a pillow for the wash cloth and a thin blanket for the towel.
I called the director on a Monday and still she has not called me back.
I am not finish with this facility.and I diffidently would not recommend this place to Pet smart

I toured Bentley Senior Living at Pennsauken. Their rooms were clean, and the semi-private rooms were nice. The staff was very friendly.

Cleanliness: There was a huge mice problem that was never resolved even after they said they changed exterminators. I even found a dead mouse in my relative's room and in the garden that was out in the open and could not be missed. A mouse also ran across the bedroom while the aide and I was standing talking.
Friendliness: The CNA's are really friendly but inexperienced.
Value: None
Care Services: They manage to keep the residents fed and the provide the medications to those who need it. But if your relative need follow-up or and update on how your relative is doing, the staff is ill-equipped.
Activities: A CNA was playing Bingo with some residents but after she left the job, no one continued the activity and this disappointed my relative because it was her only way to socialize and make her feel good because she liked to win. No other activities once Bingo stopped.
Overall, this facility is not clean or managed properly. I would not recommend this place for anyone.

I attempted to leave a message for someone in admissions after hours and was transferred 3 times to extensions that were in other departments. The 3rd transfer sent me to the nurses station, where I spoke to a woman who identified herself as "B". She was quite rude and refused to transfer me. When I called back, I ended up getting B again who just left the receiver on the counter. Since this was a nurse or nursing supervisor, it caused me to have a huge concern. This would be someone who would be possibly taking care of my aging parent. I cannot imagine that this person would be easy to interact with or provide my family member kind, thorough care, or patience.
I am quite disappointed and will be bringing her elsewhere.

Bentley was very old and needing repair. It did appear clean other than being in need of repair. The living room that they would give my father-in-law was a good size that you could really just get in a wheelchair and go in. Again, it was in need of a paint job and repair. Other than that, it was clean. A concerning factor was that the patients had to line up for their medication, and we saw a very long line. They had to eat at a certain time in the cafeteria, there was no eating in the room, and this concerns us. There was a long line of patients that we saw waiting to get into the cafeteria to take their medication first, and then go to eat. Some of them were in walkers, some of them were in wheelchairs, and that was very disconcerting for us. They did have an activity room, but the activity room was being renovated, so there was nothing in there, and she said that she had plans for that. We did see some of the residents outside in wheelchairs and in walkers standing around. We didn't really see them doing any activity or anything, but the grounds were pretty decent and pleasant, and it was a nice day. I don't know if they had designated smoking areas because we saw some of the residents smoking, and that was a concern for us because my father-in-law would have been bothered by smoke. We weren't very pleased with that. If he was ever going into a nursing home, he was very adamant about having a private room, so that was another concern for him, and there were no private rooms in the nursing home part.

Bentley Senior Living at Pennsauken was super nice. It was clean and well managed. It was a perfect fit for my mother. They have bridge, cards, and they have a library. They have outings and excursions too.

The Bentley is a horrible place and they don't really care about the elderly. My grandmother is a resident and quite a few of her belongings have been stolen. The place is dirty and has an odor. The ceiling in her bedroom has water damage. There are no doors on her closet. She has lost a lot of weight because the food is not up to par. Everything about the Bentley shows they do not care. I have complained and left messages for the manager and never received a return phone call. I am getting my Grandmom out of there.

I have a relative in this facility and it's horrible! The place smells, the roof leaks, the food is horrible and they don't have enough staff members.
One day I found a glue trap in the corner of my relatives room, covered in roaches. The room is a mess with clothes, both dirty and clean piled on the closet floor.
I'm looking for another home for my relative, ASAP

Bentley Senior Living is great! My grandmother has been here for over a year and seems to really feel at home. Every time I visit, the staff is friendly and the facilities are clean.

My aunt just moved into Bentley Senior Living 2 weeks ago and she has really been happy so far. It is a big transition moving from her home of 40+ years to come and live in a large community with other people. She has enjoyed having the meals in the dining room and joining others in some of the programs they have going on. We are glad she is there as she was failing at home and constantly in and out of the hospital.

I am shocked and speechless as to the most recent review (Nov 6th) of Bentley Senior Living!! My grandmother and great-aunt spent several incredibly happy years there prior to their passing! They loved the food, activities, and people. Most of all, they loved the employees. Everyone has a kind heart, a helping hand, and the sensitivity and compassion to treat the elderly with respect and dignity. Recent circumstances have placed me in need of a facility for my mother and there is no question in my mind as to where her mail will be forwarded. I have an appointment with the administrator of Bentley Senior Living later this week and I am certain that I will be giving them a deposit!!! My dad slept very well at night knowing his loved ones were at Bentley, and I look forward to the same sense of security.

I visited this facility
If I could give it no stars I would. We were all set to move my mom in based on my brother's visit. Don't know what
he was thinking. The parking lot was trash filled. The
facility was filthy filthy dirty. The entrance reeked of urine
which the administrator acknowledged and then propped
the door open rather than clean. The administrator in
charge of maintenance was not there today.... wonder
how much time he spends there. I shudder to think what the kitchen and dining area is like based on the filth of the common areas.
Needless to say, mom is not going there. Needs a visit from health dept.

My mother has been placed into Bentley for about a month and a half now. They were the only one that had an availability immediately, so we chose them for that reason. We love the place. It is a nice and clean facility. The staff is wonderful. I haven't seen any problems yet. People there are nice. They have something all the time for them. My mom in particular loves playing bingo. They also have other games like bowling. They also have sundae nights where they all go make sundaes. It is really nice.

We brought my grandmother to Bentley because we felt she needed a better life and we could not take care of her since our health is diminishing in our family as well. I will say it's pretty pricey, but we figured she was worth it and wanted nothing but the best care for her. I feel as though they are a little overwhelmed there and may need some more help. I feel as though it's hard for them to keep track on medications, daily activities, rehab, etc. I feel they need a bit more organization and it would be a tremendous help! Their staff is lovely, always very nice and respectful. The facility itself is very nice and well manicured. That makes me happy because it makes the residents, especially my grandmother feel more at ease. They do have bingo which is great and a list of card games and activities, so it's nice for the residents to get a change to socialize so they don't feel so lonely. Again, I think that once they get a little more organized and maybe some more nurses and staff it would be wonderful, I would probably give it 5 stars then. My grandmother really seems to love it, and in my opinion, that's all that matters.
