I've toured CareOne at The Cupola which is a very nice community. They toured us through their rooms, they were nice as well. They had a lot of stuff going on, there's a gym room, exercises, they have a theater area, and outside gardens. They had more amenities than other places I've seen. The overall facilities and upkeep were good. My overall impression of the place was very good.

We are moving my father to CareOne at The Cupola. We liked that it was a large facility and there appeared to be a lot of activities going on. It seemed like there were a lot of musical activities. It just seemed like there was more going on, and more things that my father would likely do. The person who gave me the tour was excellent. She was very informative. We like the facility, and it appeared that everyone was engaged. The dining area was excellent. However, the rooms could use a little bit of attention. The rooms were not as nice as some of the other facilities, but we felt that the activities and the events were more important. We saw some of the food and it looked great, but we didn't taste anything. They had a group celebrating Hanukkah, and we happen to be Jewish. They had a room and they had a rabbi onsite. Everyone seemed happy. They were with it. There appeared to be highly functioning individuals there, and that's something we were looking at as well. The surroundings were nice. It's a big facility and you wouldn't be bored there.

My mother was prescribed 12 different meds to the point of slumping and incoherent. Her room was woefully outdated, rug dirty etc. An overwhelming smell upon entry of building.

The staff is knowledgeable, kind & caring. The facility is beautiful, the rooms are spacious & the general vibe of the environment is very pleasant. Care One at the cupola has everything my father could have possibly needed. I highly recommend.

My mother is already at the CareOne at The Cupola. She is in memory care. She's only been there a little bit, but what I have found is that the people who work there, all the nurses, psychiatrists, doctors, have been really responsive. I find communication with them to be very good, which is not an experience I was really having before. So far, so good. She's still adjusting, but they're doing a good job with her. It's a pretty small community in the memory care. She says the food is fine, but she's not a big eater. Her accommodations are quite comfortable. It's important that she has enough living space. Also, because of her memory, she doesn't often remember that she ate. Her mental acuity has really just dropped very severely and very quickly, but if she asks for a snack or anything, they give it to her. In the activity room, which is right outside of my mom's room, there's always something going on. They move balloons around, they watch TV, and they play some games, but I haven't been there enough to see all of the things they do. They try to keep them busy. They know who my mother is, and they are very attentive. The building is lovely and seems very nice to me. It's extremely expensive, but value for money is fair.

I visited CareOne at The Cupola. I need assisted living, but they have the memory care building next to it in the same area. They're next to each other. It was quite large and spread out. It's not like a high-rise kind of thing, so that was good. There's a lot of lands to walk around. The food choices were very good. There were three different kinds, so one could choose. There's a lot of activities. The employees were good. There was one lady who was in charge of the whole place trying to organize activities and things like that, and she was very good at explaining everything. The only thing I did not like about it is it's quite old-fashioned because it has been there for a long time. The layout was very good. The staff was quite compliant and helpful, but I didn't have any contact with them except this lady who was in charge of taking us around and showing us all the different rooms, facilities, activities, and things like that. She was very good. She was very comfortable with us.
