At Harrogate, you were expected to prepare your own breakfast and lunch. Dinner was the big event, and that's where everyone goes and socializes. The place was wonderful and beautiful. It was like a hotel, but there were 250 residents, and it was way too big for my mother-in-law. The rooms were wonderful because they had porches. They had little patios. You could get one- or two-bedroom apartments.

I toured Harrogate, and it's very good, just expensive. I did have a meal there, and it was delicious. Everything including their entertainment is free, you don't have to pay for it. They have buses and cars that take you places. They also have a huge library, and a patio to sit out on. They had a pool, a gym, and physical therapy if you need it. The staff were fabulous, they're just great. They are friendly and very willing to inform you of any questions that you ask. It is such a pleasant experience. The place is right in the heart of everything that goes on there.

My mother is at the facility and has been there for almost full year. By the start of 2023 her monthly rent will have increased by a whopping 24%. She was told, before purchasing, that there is usually an average yearly increase of 3%. That is an eight year increase in less than a year. I am not sure how this facility can expect it residents on fixed income to absorb such high increases.

Harrogate was really good. It was beautiful and very clean. The staff was wonderful, very knowledgeable, and thorough. The lady who gave the tour was great. They have a beautiful dining room, an outdoor patio where they have parties, a pool, and an activity room for games and fun activities for the residents.

I visited my friend in Harrogate. It's one of those "aging in place" kind of places. You get an apartment, then you go to assisted living, and then on to the nursing home. It's an excellent place, but it was too expensive. They had a one-bedroom with a small kitchen, a nicely sized living room, a little closed-in patio area, and a bathroom of course. The staff is excellent, and the whole place is just beautiful. They have a heated pool inside, they do exercises, and they even have a post office and a library.

Harrogate was a very nice facility. The lady that gave me the tour was very, very nice. I liked the area. I looked at a one-bedroom apartment. It had a little enclosed porch, and I liked it very much. They had an indoor pool and shuffleboard. The staff was very straightforward and awesome. Normally, they would give you lunch, but with the pandemic, they can't. I was very impressed with it. You didn't have to go outside at all, it was all connected. The room she showed me was very nice.

Compared to the other place I visited, Harrogate was bigger, offered more activities, and had more amenities, but it was quite expensive. It was a continuing care community with rooms set up like real apartments. They each had a small but full kitchen, very nice bathroom with walk-in shower, a bedroom, and a big combination living and dining area. You could also have a two-bedroom unit. The staff was very good, very nice, and helpful. They had different activities, a movie room, an indoor pool, a fitness center, and an arts and crafts room.
Thanks, Lynn, for taking the time to write such a nice review of our community. As you point out, we offer much more than just a place to live. We're really a family here, with residents building lasting friendships through the various amenities and activities they take part in. We're glad you were so impressed with what you saw, and we're happy to answer any questions you might have or help in any way that we can. Have a wonderful day!
