My mom has moved into Symphony at Cherry Hill. It's new, so the indoor features are updated and very nicely done. The spaces are open and airy, and it seems to be well staffed. Because it's a memory care facility, they have a lot of security safety, so your loved one wouldn't be able to escape.
The accommodation is good. My husband and I had ordered the furniture and had them delivered. It was very short notice. We toured the place on a Thursday, but all of my mom's furniture and everything was ordered on a Friday and that was delivered on Memorial Monday. She was in on Tuesday, so they were very accommodating with the timeline to move in, and we had to be quick because she was being discharged from a rehab facility. I would say that they were very accommodating, and they seem to be attentive to my mom. It seems like the staff members are very good, very qualified, attentive, pleasant and competent.
It's very convenient for my sister. I'm in Florida, but the location is very convenient. I'm going back up to visit her and I'll be staying at a local hotel. For people coming from out of state to visit their parents there, there is hotel accommodation. I think the location is very good, and they have some on-site stuff like a physician on-site that comes in, a hair salon on-site, and a podiatrist that comes in. I like that they have services that come in, too. They have activities scheduled, too.
The price is the problem. It is well above my mom's budget and my sister is struggling. That is the problem with the place, and that was my reservation all along, that it's expensive. Memory care is very expensive.
