My mother is staying at the Parsons House on Eagle Run. They're great, they do a fantastic job and they're very pleasant, they anticipate her needs and take care of her. It's a very good facility and I would recommend it highly. Because of COVID, they've cut back on activities, but now they're all up and running, it was great. They keep her apartment clean, they take the trash out every day, it's good. They have all of the amenities, their outside area is also beautiful. It's a beautiful place, they have a happy hour which if I can take her she enjoys it. Overall, it's a wonderful facility.

We found Parsons House on Eagle Run for my mother, and we put a down payment on it so we can get on the list for her. The bonus with Parsons is the people have locks on their bedroom doors. So when they come out in the morning, they don't go back to their room until they go to bed at night. That way, they're not kind of forgotten. So that was the good aspect, and it was one of the places my dad liked. It was a good place. The three places that we looked at were very good, but Parsons was the better of the three. The staff was knowledgeable, very friendly, and followed up with phone calls and emails to see if we had any further questions that needed to be answered. So I was very happy with them. They showed us the whole memory care unit. They showed us what the bedroom would look like, the bathroom facilities they have, and the shower facilities. They showed us the place where they eat, the recreation area, the outside area, where they can sit that's enclosed. So they gave us a tour of the whole memory care facility. They had games, they had movies, and they had people and groups that would come and perform. They just had a lot of different things that they planned.

Don’t be fooled. No activities, unless you count having green punch an activity. Staff does NOT interact with residents. They sit around and do nothing. Avoid this place, unless your looking to suck the soul out of your loved one. Right now staff leaning on kitchen island and watching tv and talking while the residents sit lifeless. Very small area for residents. They eat where they sit, absolutely no change of scenery. VERY depressing environment.

My dad is at Parsons House on Eagle Run. The first thing I liked about it was that it was smaller than the other places that were under consideration. It had a smaller population. Secondly, they have two nurses that are sort of like doctors, but they're not doctors but they're not just nurses. They're nurse practitioners. They have two nurse practitioners at Parson's house, but they also have two doctors who are associated with them. We really liked that. The staff is very caring about the residents here. When they first arrive, they talk to them. Just general things, what they're interested in or what they've done in the past. They ask what their likes are, what they like to do, things that they've enjoyed. They try to gear their activities towards what the person has liked in the past, not what they feel they should be doing. They asked my dad what he likes to do in his leisure time. He said playing golf. Well, that's kind of not possible now. He also enjoys music. That was the one thing that they really keyed in on; his enjoyment of music. They've tried to include that as much as possible in daily activities and to keep him as active as possible during the day. This way he don't just sit and watch television. The staff was extremely friendly. They answered all of our questions that we had. When they evaluated him, they did say that the hospice is not too far away for him. I haven't been there for the meals, but the meal always starts with dessert. I can't ever remember him being that much of a sweets eater. The meals have been excellent. They've been varied, and the portions are just right. He doesn't eat as much as he used to, but he eats. They do encourage strongly breakfast, lunch, and dinner. In the afternoons he gets a snack of some kind. He's a banana lover, so they've got all kinds of bananas around. It is a plus. They don't have any Covid persons, but the general flu. You get your flu shot each year. Somehow that got in into the memory care. They were right on top of it, and they cut off all visitors very, very quickly. They didn't wait and see. They just cut off and and kept them pretty isolated. It was difficult for a couple of days. I think the care he's receiving is much better than it was.

The caregivers are great, but the staff and leadership is a sham. Heartless. They promised moving my mother to Medicaid after 3 years and told us she could finish her life there...5 years later they have litter lay sent us a 30 day eviction notice...sounds like they are going to reel her out to the street according to the director of memory care Cynthia...they claim is is about safety that they can not move my frail mother because of here weight...they are the ones who feed he and she has been moved fine when she first entered. We know this about a full paying customer...heartless people in charge. Steer clear.
