I definitely wouldn’t put my family member in this facility. Upon visiting on numerous occasions, the police was on premises. I have been told about a gun being on site and fighting in the halls amongst staff and people entering the building with ski mask on. I feel as though it not safe. The administrator is very arrogant and staff is very rude. Residence are not cared for properly. Please be aware. Don’t put your love in here.

My sister put my mother in St. Johns Place. I've visited her a few times and the facility is always clean. It's well maintained and it doesn't smell, and that was a big thing that surprised me because I know even in the best senior homes sometimes, patients can have accidents and it might take a while to get to them, but that's not the problem here because it never smells or anything. The employees are pretty pleasant. The ones that seem to know my mother are pretty nice to her. They're not the friendliest, but they're somewhat professional and very helpful. The social worker is extremely nice, and I love her. I'm just glad that it's clean and my mom seems to be taken care of. She had dropped a lot of weight and she has since bounced back from that, which is amazing. She has put back on some weight. When I asked her about the food, she said, "Not bad, they just don't give enough." She is diabetic, so it's good that they don't give her too much. The dining room is clean, spacious, and has a lot of tables. They were getting ready to serve ice cream to the residents at that time. It seems like they try to do little activities with them, which is pretty nice. The day I brought her back this past Saturday, they had something going on in the backyard. The building is dated, but at least it's clean. When mom first got there, she had the room to herself. It is a room made for two people, and she now has a roommate. It's no-frills. It's big enough for two beds and a little space in between the two. There's another room where the bathroom is and inside the bathroom are two curio cabinets and they have their names taped up to each one to indicate which is which. There isn't a shower in their room, and I've never seen where they shower. The bathroom has a sink, those two curio cabinets, and a toilet, and it's spacious. When I was there, one resident was kind of having a little meltdown and they were all on top of it. The people that I had to deal with were all pretty nice. They do things for them. My mom's hair was done when I saw her.

If you really love your love ones whatever you do please do not send them to this place. My father was in alot of pain I went to the front desk and asked Antonia the nurse if she would give him something for pain she said when she get a chance. 15 min later she hadn't come. Rang the bell 10 min later she came with a very mean look on her face and said I told you I'd give it to him when I get a chance. She left out and 15 min later she came with the medicine. My father got really bad bed soars we would not have known that if my sister had not watch them change my dad. The aid looked real surprised like she didn't know he had them. It would take a long time for the nurses to change him. He would sit in his urine for hours. My father passed away in an unpleasant place. His last days were so uncomfortable. I jsbvt so much more to dry about this place but I'll stop right here.

I am frustrated with the options given for people who need long-term care, but this place was one of the worst we visited. It's beyond disorganized, the receptionist was too busy playing on her phone to greet us, tried to tour the facility and they were all over the place trying to figure out how to coordinate it. Wanted to talk to the bookkeeper and ask some basic questions, she was a lady-of-a-certain-age and seemed more like she belonged as a resident than an employee. Quick to talk over the top of us, not able to answer simple questions without becoming visibly frustrated, and in the meantime someone poked their head in and said "so-and-so [a vendor of some sort] is about to cut us off too". All that did was solidify that this is an unprofessional and poorly run facility, which apparently is having financial difficulties because their services are being cut off. There is NO WAY I would subject any one I love to this facility. This is run by the same family as Bentley's Extended Care so beware of both. The owners are brothers and seem to be cashing in on the growing elderly population. It's shameful.

First when you visit patients are just sitting in the lobby with no activities, no television or anything. Nursing staff are all at the desk no one making rounds on the floor. I noticed when I went to get my friend for a outing she had none of her clothes everything had someone else's name on it. When I inquired as to where her clothes were I was told to check the laundry and if they weren't there maybe they were mistakenly taken to another patient's room. I noticed a patient calling for help and staff just stated to each other she doesn't want anything.
