Dear friend, we are sorry for your disappointment but let me explain the circumstances. First, your son moved into a newly remodeled room on the second floor which is a private room but our most affordable private. Next he moved across the hall to a semi-private because he wanted to save money and knew he would get a roommate. When he broke his ankle our staff moved his belongings down to the first floor so he wouldn't have go up steps but continued to charged him the reduced rate he was paying upstairs with the understanding when he rehabbed he would go back upstairs and he appreciated us holding his old room for him. We had no choice but to move him in the only semi-private available downstairs which TJ and Allen did on their own time including hooking up his TV. What you failed to mention in your complaint is that you and your son were not on good terms at the time and not speaking. We would be glad to act as messengers but we prefer to stay out of the equation and let them work it out on their own. When he started shouting at you over our phone and handed the phone over to our administrator she told him he needed to respect his mother and that she was not interested in joining that conversation. You mentioned our rates are too expensive. Let me point out he pays $1700.00 a month for three meals, utilities, housekeeping, laundry, and 24 hour medical personnel and that he signed the contract himself. We are the best value for assisted living in the city. Hope everything works out for you both soon.
