I liked Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. It sort of ticked all the boxes for me. The gal I talked to there was very helpful and very friendly. It's a good possibility. It was just a little bit over what I wanted to pay. The thing I liked best was the location. The thing I liked least is it was a little spartan, but it was perfectly acceptable to live in. I thought from the pictures it might be a little more luxurious, but it was perfectly fine. I liked the layout of the two units I looked at very much, and they were very updated. They seemed to have a very established program for helping people transition from independent to assisted. One of the things that impressed me most was the woman I spoke with. She spent a lot of time answering my questions about that type of thing, which I really needed to understand. I didn't try the food, but it smelled pretty good. They had all kinds of entertainment, billiards, libraries, and computer labs. She talked about different activities and outings that they do. I like to volunteer, and they have a lot of opportunities to volunteer and help inside the facility. They also arrange for people from the facility to go volunteer in other places.

We toured Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. We had a very good tour guide. We didn't get a chance to look at their apartments because they're full. The ones that we saw were rather disheveled, but that was because they were under construction. The floor layout was pretty good. They give you an option of a one-bedroom with a den, which we think probably would be more suitable and give us more room than two bedrooms. They have a chapel. So far, much of everything we've looked at seemed to have the same amenities. They have a nice community room as I recall, they have activities scheduled, and they have bus service for activities. They have some bus service for other things that you have to schedule but only in a very limited area. We saw the dining area, but we did not eat anything. They gave us a menu, which looked to be attractive. What they were offering looked fine, and the dining area looked very nice. We didn't get quite the positive feedback from the tenants, but we got good positive feedback from the staff. This particular building was darker and seemed more crowded. It was clean, but it wasn't immaculate. It also had a wall air-conditioner, which was probably a deal breaker for us. The tour person had only been there since May, so she was rather unfamiliar with some of the questions and stuff. She was supposed to be getting me some answers, but thus far I haven't heard from her and that's 10 days ago.

The tour at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge went wonderfully. I had a good time over there. It's a nice place. I liked the building structure. It looked like Northwoods Cabin. I had minimal interaction with the staff, but it was very good. The rooms were spacious. The amenities were very good. Every room had a full kitchen and large windows. I love the nature outside. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable.

Provider Response

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge feels like home. The director who took us on a tour was fantastic. The facility was excellent. Everything's located centrally around the elevators. That's what stood out in our minds the best. You didn't have to run all over to find places, the craft room, the dining room, the church, and the exercise room. Everything's located centrally. The rooms were very homey, very adequate, very appropriate, and laid out well. There are no openings right now, so that tells you it's very well-liked.

Provider Response

We appreciate your positive review about your recent experience with us! Thank you, and have a fantastic day!

I really liked the gentleman that took me on the tour at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. He was the manager. He was very informative and very proud of his facility. I liked the place a lot. It was real rustic, like a log cabin kind of look. They had a really nice, big area off the lunchroom for chapel services. I really liked that they don't have a waiting list, and they had a lot of activity centers. There were puzzle rooms and pool rooms. I just didn't get to meet any of the staff there.

They were very friendly at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. The rooms were nice. The atmosphere was very good. They have a game room. The staff was very nice. The guy who gave the tour was excellent. It was worth our time to visit. The dining area was very acceptable. It had a very woodsy atmosphere.

I have toured Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge for my parents. Initially, we are looking for independent with assuming progression over time to assisted; then to the memory care. We really love the warm, cozy, and home-like environment. We especially like the memory care unit. It felt like a Minnesota cabin, and we thought our dad would feel like he was at home in that environment. The staff who assisted me during the visit were very helpful, caring, and professional. The dining area looked nice and clean, but we didn't try any of the food. They had a full calendar with a wide variety of activities offered. They have activities from card clubs to gardening activities.

Provider Response

Hi Kari, we are very happy to have provided you with such a positive experience!

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge had a really beautiful dining area. Everything was centrally located. So, there's the a chapel area and they also had a pool table. The atmosphere was very homey, and comforting, and they seemed to have a good care team. They talked about their nursing care while the other places didn't. I liked their meal program. Some places do a la carte where you just pay every day, but they have a monthly plan where you can pick one meal. Another thing I liked about it was that independent living and assisted living were not separate. The apartments I looked at were good. The salesperson I interacted with was wonderful. He has also reached out to me several times afterward when I've had questions and he's very quick to get back. The only thing I did not like was the laundry was not inside the units.

Provider Response

We went to Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. The tour was fine. The lady brought us to see just one unit and showed us the dining area. It just wasn't for us. It was an older property. The setting was something my mom wouldn't like. It was kind of rustic, like a lake resort place, that's what it felt like. The staff was very friendly and provided all the information that we needed to know. It was a real short tour. It was a one-bedroom that we looked at. There was a beauty salon right in one of the common areas. Each floor had a common area, which was nice. They had an area where they had some exercise equipment. There was also an area where they would have a movie night, an area for putting puzzles together, there was a library, a chapel where they could attend church and they had concerts, choirs come in to do concerts, and things like that. They had a laundry facility and if you were there for assisted living, it was included, but if you're not in assisted living, you could have somebody do your laundry and you'd have to pay for that. They had a calendar of social events, which was good. They had a nice variety of things to do. The dining area was nice. When we were there, people were eating lunch and it smelled good. It was an OK place, but it's not something that my mom would ever go for.

We toured Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge, and it went very well. We liked the location of it and the staff was very nice. We had lunch there and the food was very good. Everything was in good shape, and the outdoor areas were very nice with lots of trees around. They have activities, like bingo, then there's a pool table and a chapel. Everything was accessible from the elevator. The cleanliness and the upkeep was also very nice.

Provider Response

We went to the Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. We met with Terry who was just awesome, he was wonderful. He showed us each one of the rooms, we loved the rooms, and we loved the location. He also showed us the shared spaces and introduced us to some of the key people there, very friendly staff, I liked them. We liked the prices, it's cheaper than the ones my in-laws are paying in Phoenix. It was very clean. They have 24-hour staffing, community Wi-Fi, exercise room, laundry services. They've got a beauty salon and barber on-site, and religious services, so they had a chapel there. They also have a pool table, they have an activity room, they've got a library, and a computer area even. They say they normally would have free transportation, but they were looking for a van driver.

Provider Response

Dave, Thank you for taking the time to provide a review and we are so glad you enjoyed meeting with Terry. Thanks for providing so many details, as I am sure you have helped others looking for a community.

We went to the Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. I thought the rooms were nice, they were small, and I saw some interaction between staff and residents. They didn't seem like there was a lot of staff around, I didn't notice a lot of staff, but I think that was 'cause we were in the independent area, but it looked short-handed in nurse and assistants. The people were nice, a lot of smiles on people's faces. You could definitely tell it was a building that was remodelled, but it was nicely remodelled. I saw the assisted living area, a general area which was more of an assisted area, I did see the memory care area, and that was really nice. They had an outdoor space, they had a really nice deck there, I know that you could hear some of the birds, so that was nice. Some of the views from the rooms were OK, some to the street of the parking lot, some just a big tree, so they tried hard there. The person who gave us the tour was great, he was a nice resource.

Provider Response

Thank you for your feedback! We evaluate our staffing regularly based on the needs of our current residents to ensure everyone has access to the care and services they need. We are lucky to have such a great team in our community and are happy to hear you had such a positive experience!

Our visit to Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge went well. They were very welcoming and friendly. We weren't able to get as much of an impression of the community because there weren't as many residents around, but they have a library, entertainment area, gathering places, and a beauty salon. The dining area was a little bit darker though, due to the decor. It was spacious had lots of windows. They are actually in the process of updating the place for now.

We were able to see three different rooms at 1Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge and they all look great. We would go more for the 1-bedroom and we really liked that one. If things worked out for us, that's the one we would go for. They were all so very nice and the staff we met with spent over an hour with us. We were so pleased. The staff that assisted us during the tour was very nice and took extra time to talk to us. He did a very good job. The facility was all very clean and they offered us coffee or tap water.

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge was really nice. It was a little bit homier than the other place we visited, but it was more money. They showed just an efficiency or a studio. It was very clean. The staff was wonderful, very accommodating and very nice. They had a courtyard and a lot of amenities. They helped me a lot with some financial aid information.

I visited this facility

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge was a very, very nice facility, but I don't think it's going to work for what we need. We toured the memory care, and it was beautiful. It looked like a good setup. It's just that they only had one room available, and it was with older people who were much worse than my husband, and I just did not want to put him in that atmosphere. They had a small dining room, and there were only seven at the table. They have people who work with them and encourage them to get into card games or activities that would stimulate the brain.

Provider Response

Thank you so much for taking the time to write us a review of your experience! It means a lot to us!

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. She moved into the Wildflower Lodge portion, which is memory care. She's doing OK. She has not been there quite a full week yet, so it's just an adjustment right now. I don't know enough yet because she just got in there, but so far, so good. They've been friendly and attentive. The staff that I have dealt with so far has been good. I haven't dealt with a lot of the aides yet because I haven't been there that much. She said she likes the food. Rose Arbor is the assisted living side, so they will have one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments and then on the Wildflower Lodge side, which is the memory care, they just have a small studio, so it's much smaller on that side of the place. They have been doing activities every day even in light of the COVID. They have exercise, arts, and games, and they still do them every day morning and afternoon. They're doing really good. The memory care area definitely is smaller and not as nice as the assisted living one. It doesn't have as nice decor, it's not as big and grand, but I think it's like that for a reason. It's a little on the pricy side, but it's a decent place.

Provider Response

Thank you for providing us with your feedback. We are very excited to announce a new memory care program in the Wildflower Lodge called Magnolia Trails. Magnolia Trails communities create the best possible, unique calendars that meet the emotional, physical, and psychological needs of their residents. You can learn more about the program.

My parents were in Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. I was pleased with them, but they didn't have the skilled nursing that my mom needed. It's an older community, but it's a quality place. It was a very good place for my parents, we appreciated their services, and the staff worked with us.

Provider Response

The woman who took me around Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge was very nice, very knowledgeable, and helpful. It felt like an older building. It was a family home, and it's tucked away in a very pretty area with trees all around, which made it dark inside. Not a lot of light got into it, and it seemed a little bit gloomy to me, but everybody was very nice. The rooms were fairly small with only a bathroom and a window. They had a pretty outdoor garden area where they could go out and garden. They would take the residents for walks in the neighborhood because it's in a residential area. They have activities, they have somebody help them paint pictures, and they have music. There are different neighborhoods and each has their own dining area.

I was not impressed with Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge at all. When I went there they didn't even realize that I had an appointment, so I made another appointment and visited them a second time, but the person who was there took in a walk-in who didn't have an appointment and asked for a tour. So I had to wait over half an hour for my tour. The courtyard where the memory care people were allowed to go was overgrown. The grass must have been at least a foot and a half high, it hadn't been weeded, and didn’t look like it was being used. The patients were just in bed, and there didn't seem to be any activities going on. I saw a couple of the rooms, they had a toilet, a sink, a very small bathroom, and a bedroom. All of the rooms were different sizes, so some people have a very nice large bedroom, while others only had small bedrooms. It's clean, but setup like a nursing home, and most of the clients I saw there seemed to be in the advanced stages. There were no interactions or stimulation going on for the memory care people.

I like Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge. When I showed up there was only the receptionist and the sales agent wasn't there, so I just walked around and looked at the place, and they weren't able to answer my questions. They did reach out to me the following week. I saw some of the common areas, and it had a lodge type of feel. The receptionist who tried to help me was very nice; she did the best she could. They were still in the process of cleaning the room that I looked at, but it was a nice room.

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge has independent living and assisted living (no moving required). It was a very nice place and seemed to be very well run. The staff was very cooperative. The interior grounds were very nicely kept and in good condition. The location was close to Maple Grove shopping. The 1-bedroom apartment was very clean, very bright, and very new looking.

The staff at Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge is very accommodating, especially with emergency situations. They're very willing to help and provide support, and have been great to us. The facilities are very nice and the food is great. You get breakfast with your stay and you can pay for extra. They have bible studies, book club, they do tours, and go to apple orchards or arboretums. My parents' apartment is a 2-bedroom, 2-bath with a kitchen. They have their own little doorbell when you walk in. The laundry is right down the hall, it's free and nice, with three washers and dryers. All senior communities are expensive, but for what Rose Arbor can offer, it's a good price.

Rose Arbor was very nice. I found it a little difficult to find, but everything was fine. It is a little farther away from my location in Anoka than I am looking for, but it is still within consideration. They are competitive with all the others that I looked at. The staff that I met was fine; there was no problem with them or anything. I think they do a good job.

I toured Rose Arbor, but they were not able to accommodate some of my mother’s diet needs, so that is why we did not go with them. She's living in another memory care in Marshall, Minnesota, and we were looking at alternatives to move her; we decided to not move her at this time. It had a very warm, inviting, and comfortable feel. The woman who took me on the tour was very knowledgeable, interested in my mom’s needs, and offered a good explanation of their services.

I placed my parents at Rose Arbor. They’re doing a great job. My parents are in assisted living, and I like that the apartments could be either an apartment or assisted living. They’re helping with assisted living and medication management. My parents take three meals a day there, and there are lot of activities for them to participate in. They have very friendly staff who has been there for a long time. Also this community is within walking distance of a coffee shop, Wal-Mart and other stuff, which is great for them if they want to walk a few blocks. I’m very happy with this community.

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge seems to be a small, clean facility. It didn't have the spaciousness of the other places I have seen. It was older, too. They had kept aside food for us, and my dad seemed to like it. The facility had more of a "lodgey" feeling, which I wish was less so. You can always have a cabin feel without going way overboard.

Rose Arbor & Wildflower Lodge was nice. It's not bad, but it's not great. The staff were pretty engaging and friendly. I liked the people who were gathered in a common area watching TV, but the residents seemed bored to me. It had a phenomenal menu. They had a lot of areas where they hold activities. There's the common room and another room with more tables where they play cards and stuff like that.

My father was in the Wildflower Lodge memory care. Please stay away! I can confidently say he was neglected for his 1 year stay there. Each time we went to visit his hearing aids were never working. The "activity" for the day consisted of moving the residents in front of a TV to watch a musical show. The staff barely speaks English and they are NEVER around!! Residents would be left in their wing without a single staff person to be found. We had to search out staff & that was very difficult. One visit my dad actually made it out the front door!!! The lay out of the building is a nightmare for dementia. Long, twisty hallways that a person without dementia could get lost. We left in tears each time we went to visit. We have since moved him to a new memory care and it is a night and day difference. My dad is smiling again! We feel happy to go visit him and leave without feeling like we dumped him in an awful place!!

We really liked Rose Arbor and Wildflower Lodge. It was very large, and it had very comfortable décor. It seemed to be well staffed. They had good activities. The only thing that disturbed me was they kind of made it like a selling point that they do not keep dementia residents if they show any violent tendencies.

We chose Rose Arbor because it's just 15 minutes away. It's a nice living space, a nice community with activities. The apartment was on the main floor, and it seemed to have everything that we like, and the décor for my dad wasn't as fancy or feminine. It was very casual looking. It's nice but casual. We picked it with that in mind, and the setting that it's in, and it's kind of close to business, but it's secluded by trees. There's a creek and wildlife. So we chose it for the location, the building, but we also knew that the care was good there because of a friend. It kind of ended up being a no brainer.
