I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
The executive leadership currently at thiss facility-Jeff- is NOT interested in the well being of the resident or the residents family. Please do NOT use this facility while the current leadership is in place unless your loved one does not need any care or compassion. There are some WONDERFUL staff members as well as some not so wonderful, but unfortunately when the senior Executive Director is underpar, the entire facility suffers.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My friend is at Waltonwood at Main. He is not happy there because he doesn’t feel that he is in a good place. He loves Waltonwood, but he just doesn’t see people that look like him. There are people that are walkers. Also he had an incident where he came upon this woman that has Alzheimer’s, and she slapped him in the face. In his present state, he is halfway between independent living and needed assisted living, but he doesn’t want to be around the assisted living people that are one step out of a nursing home. I’ve eaten there many times. Their food is excellent. It’s like a 5-star hotel restaurant. It is absolutely lovely. It’s decorated lovely. It’s built around a garden where they grow fruits and vegetables. They eat meals on tablecloths, and they are served at the table. They have 2 choices for lunch and dinner, and if they don’t like those choices, they will make them a sandwich or something else and bring it to them.

I can not speak any higher of this place! Even though it costs a little bit more than other places, I don't care! My grandmother is a resident here and I couldn't be happier knowing she's so well taken care of! The saff is very caring and incredibly attentive. Residents wear wrist bands and within minutes of the button being pushed the saff is here to help! The food here is TOP notch! I've eaten with my grandma a few times and never had a bad meal. Lunches are sanwhiches and are ok, but dinners are awesome! She lived in three other places before this one and will never leave! This is the best around!

I visited this facility
Waltonwood was great as well. The main reason we didn't choose that one was because it was a little more spread out like a bigger facility with one or two floors while the one mom's in goes up four floor, but it just seemed smaller and cozier on each floor. We just felt with her mobility not being really great that it will be better for her to have a smaller environment rather than a spread out facility. It was mainly on two floors, and it was bigger. There could be a long walk to the dining room depending on where your apartment was. However, the rooms were beautiful. They were two rooms like a living room area and a bedroom, we felt that it might be a little more than my mom needed. It was very clean with very friendly staff. I would have been just as happy to have her there. However, like I said, we had to use something as a deciding factor, and it was really the mobility; the ability for her to go from one place to another in the facility quickly was really the decision making factor.

I visited this facility
Waltonwood at Main seemed very nice but my uncle didn't feel it's like home, but I've got a lot of friends who had their family there and they are very pleased. The facility seemed very nice. Everything was very clean. It was just a little smaller, a little more minimal. The lady that gave us the tour was very nice.

The facility itself is nice, and the people working there seem to be mostly competent. He has access to meals quality food, and even gets to go on lunch trips to local restaurants. The staff is very friendly, and helpful. upon occasion we have had to complain about specific workers, who were not taking care of him properly, but that is to be expected from any such facility. The women were removed from taking care of him when requested with very little fuss. They take requests from us often. Special preparations for when we come to take him out are handled promptly, such as dressing him, and making sure he uses the bathroom before we get there. The only major complaint I have is the loud buzzer that goes off all the time, when someone requests assistance. You can hear it from anywhere in the building, and I imagine if my grandfather could still hear well it would drive him bonkers. They assign workers a schedule, which is available to my family, so that he has the same ladies all the time. i think this gives him a small sense of community, although it is hard to tell at this point. There has been no abuse that we have witnessed, no bedsores or bruises.Over all i think he is as happy as he can be with his home. They assign workers a schedule, which is available to my family, so that he has the same ladies all the time. i think this gives him a small sense of community, although it is hard to tell at this point. I am a friend or relative of resident
My father was until recently a resident of this facility. With new management the rent and care went up 1,000 a month(with no change in health or care needs). We felt that for the price increase it best to move dad. the caregivers were excellent, like family, however dietary staff continually gave residents food they were not supposed to have(sometimes allergic to) before being stopped by caregivers, the food subpar especially from the beginning of his stay. The activities sometimes not appropriate for residents and sporatic (few to no activities on weekends). Patients with dementia need structure and activities 7 days a week. We felt for the high price (NOT comparable to other facilities in the area) we needed to find another facility. Sad when new management can come in get greedy and damage a care facility with a good reputation.

Hate the management. They are not friendly at all. I can only wonder how they treat their residents!
