American House Stone Senior Living is very inviting. I had a nice tour and the staff member who showed us around was friendly, nice, and knowledgeable. They're always doing something to accommodate the residents during the holidays and they go on outings.

My mother was accepted into American House Stone at 98 years old! She was a hard sell (having been on her own for quite some time). It turned out to be a Godsend!! She had a nice one-bedroom apartment, all her meals were provided, plenty of activities, fun and lots of new friends. The people who work at American house are the most amazing, loving and caring folks you could ever find! Everyone seemed to take an interest in making sure my Mom was happy. For her 100th birthday they planned a huge party with special food, music, cake, even a visit by the mayor of Rochester Hills who presented a certificate. Every holiday was a celebration with music and hors d oeuvres! From doctors, and other healthcare providers (manicurist, hair care, etc.) to attendants who care for and distribute your medications on time, American House Stone has it all covered! Even though my Mom’s memory declined significantly during her almost three-year stay she was able to stay right there in her apartment and was lovingly cared for right to the end! Highly recommended!!

My dad stayed at American House - Stone, and they're very helpful. I was able to place my dad quickly, and he integrated into some of their activities even though he has only been there a couple of weeks. He was able to go on a couple of outings, go out to dinner with a group of people, and enjoy the in-house activities for a piano player and musical. He enjoyed the dining and being able to incorporate a few other male friends at his table and able to be taken back and forth to his dialysis in Rochester. Sometimes they would fix him something that was requested outside of what they were actually eating. It was a good experience for a couple of weeks. The medical care was giving his medication appropriately and assisted him when he needed it.

American House Stone accepted my son who is only 43 years old and disabled, which most places would not. His room is quite large -- more like a studio apartment -- with his own bathroom. Meals are provided. The dining setup is quite nice. My son says the food is good. The doors are locked at 8:00; no one can come in or go out. Otherwise, those who can, can go outside. There are areas to walk -- like a little garden area and patio between two wings of the place. He has been there for two weeks now, and right now I would recommend them. They weren't outrageously expensive.
