I was invited to a luncheon at Fox Run and there was a presentation in their auditorium. We toured the one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments. They were clean, bright, and looked like they had been newly refurbished. You could choose your color and decoration. They had residents who came and sat at our table and talked to us. So, we got a first-hand view of what it was like to live there from someone who WAS living there. The luncheon and the presentation lasted from 11:30 until about 2:30 and it was well done. The food was wonderful. It was excellent. The people who talked to us and we met were charming. The lecture was short and sweet and to the point. The dining room was very pleasant, warm, and inviting. There's also a grocery store and a garden. The part I liked a lot was that it was a very busy place. We weren't just sitting around waiting for something to happen. It was busy all the time and the atmosphere was very friendly. The hallways were clean, bright, and nice as well as the elevators and ground floor.

The tour experience at Fox Run was wonderful. The people are very friendly, both the residents and the host. The facility is nice. The apartments are nicely laid out. It was a nice opportunity. The rooms were excellent. They were bright, cheerful, and had high-end items like flooring and appliances. The staff was very nice. The food was really good, very well presented, and very nice. They didn't have tablecloths which I was a little surprised at. They had more tables for four and a couple few tables for two. It was well maintained. The people that served us did a good job. The swimming pool was nice. There was a TV studio that looked interesting.

I have visited some people in Fox Run, but it was too expensive for me. It was outstanding. I was visiting a friend at the time. I had two friends and one passed away. Their units were larger. But the only problem is in that place, you have to put down anywhere from two to three hundred thousand or more. You're like buying the units, and each month there's also a fee. I just can't afford that. I went to dinner twice with one friend in the dining room. They have a couple of dining rooms. It was one of those dining rooms and the food is very, very good. You get one meal a day. So I think a lot of people use that one meal a day at night for dinner in the dining room, but they can also go to something called a pub in one of the clubhouses. One of the buildings is a pub, that's where you order off the menu, and anyone can go there as long as you know a resident, you can go there too. During the day for lunch, they have a cafeteria in there, and that was good. I got a hamburger and the hamburger was very good. Before COVID, they had a weekly movie. They have a little theater that people go to. And I don't know if it's the only one on the grounds, but my friend visited another building to get to this theater, she went to another building. So it was very nice.

Fox Run is beautiful. The appearance is good, the grass is kept up, and it doesn't smell like urine all over the place. It's nice and well-kept. They take people out for lunch, then they go shopping or to the casino. They eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner in the dining room. They also play cards and bingo. It's nice. I think they also have a swimming pool. The food is good, I've eaten there before. The dining room, food, tables, and the way you sit to eat are really nice. The person who gave the tour was very friendly.

Please: read these reviews carefully. There are over 1000 residents in independent living. My parents lived there happily and successfully for 13 years. Assisted living helps only 44 residents. They pay on a rated scale of A-E based on needs. Biggest problems: 1. Inconsistency of medicine distribution. Very poor- often forgot to give meds (up to 3 times per week) This can be life threatening. 2. Medication distribution often given in the dining room-this is a Hippa violation 3. Scheduled bathing, laundry services, help with meal distribution often forgotten/overlooked. 4. Changeover of staff problematic. Management blames this on above issues. 5. Grossly understaffed. 1 RN for 44 residents. 2 CNA’s for 44 residents. What works well: 1. Food is varied and they are responsive to employee requests. 2. Many daily activities available. Staff encourages family to help in assisting making choices. Music, arts, movies, travel, wine tasting, book club, more. 3. Clean and beautiful grounds. Note: Rose Court has 3 floors. Floor 1 is assisted living. Floor 2 is 24 hour nursing care. Floor 3 is memory care (Alzheimer’s) Rose Court has a PT gym, 3 dining rooms, community room, beauty parlor, small conference rooms, large resident rooms in assisted living but smaller rooms on nursing care. Friendly staff. Professional staff not nearly as responsive as we need. Independent living should NOT be rated on this site.

My mom is moving into Fox Run. It is new, clean, and very large. It has many services because of its size. She seems to be likely to be happy there mainly because she has 20 or so friends who are already living there; that was clearly the deciding factor for her. I saw a model room, which is apparently identical to her room. It is nicely equipped and has modern appliances. It is 700-square feet 1-bedroom apartment. It is very well designed. The layout is efficient in terms of its use of space. It has a mini washer and dryer, closets and walk-in showers, which my mom needs. They have everything under the sun, but I didn't actually witness any of the activities. I saw their daily calendar and the daily calendar includes about 20 things happening each day. It seems very fully equipped.
