I was very pleased with my tour at Sunrise of Northville. It's very close to us. It's close to our friends. It's close to church if I want to take my husband to church. It's fairly close to that doctor, and it has a good reputation. The person that I talked to was very well-informed. He was one of the executives there. The rooms were very comfortable. The dining area looked clean, neat, and inviting.

Sunrise of Northville was great. It was very nice. The seniors there always seemed like they were busy doing something. They have programs that they enjoyed. They're on top of the care and the needs that had to be met for all the seniors living there. It was very well kept, clean, and well organized. They had a lot of activities for the residents. They had a salon, movies, and a library. They're located close to shopping centers and hospitals.

I toured Sunrise of Northville. They have a dog that lives on the property, which is very nice for people, and you are allowed pets in there. It's closer to my home. However, it didn't seem as if the activity areas might be large enough for the groups of people that they were housing there. I felt like the activity room was a bit small, so that was a little bit of a concern for me. They have meals that family members could take with family that lives there, and they seem to be very well priced. They have a hair salon and different amenities, which was nice. They have a big open space up on the second floor, and then an outdoor courtyard. It was a little more pricey. It was based on care needs for individuals, so not everybody had a flat rate, which was nice. You could go in and if you needed more care than your neighbor, you were charged accordingly, which is fair because not everybody should have to pay for things that they're not utilizing, so I thought that was a decent feature. They had a move-in fee.

I toured Sunrise of Northville yesterday. It was a lovely place. The director who showed us around was very informative, very helpful, and very upbeat. The staff that she introduced us to all seem to be very, very friendly and caring. They had been there for years. One has been there nine years, another has been there 12 years, and another one has been there seven years. They're long term staff members. We saw two different rooms, and they're suites more or less. I don't know if they're supposed to be two bedrooms, but it would be very cramped to try putting a living room area in the small section as you walked in the door. For someone with assisted living needs, I suppose it would be OK. A group was involved in exercise shortly after we arrived. We did go to the memory care section where they were just finishing up lunch. That is pretty much what we saw. She did tell us there is a salon. I believe there is an activity room. They were more or less exercising around the entrance, which is a big area. I don't think we actually saw an exercise room.

I went to Sunrise of Northville and toured the assisted living area. They also have a memory care unit there in the building. I remember that the memory care unit was secure. You had to be buzzed in to enter the building. On the assisted living side, they offered so many amenities. It was like a luxury facility. They had different dining rooms (a regular cafeteria and a bistro). The person who showed me around was friendly.

My tour at Sunrise of Northville was nice, and the person who gave me the tour was nice. I just felt that the facility was older, and that pretty much everything seems to be older there. The rooms seemed decent, but everything seemed to be older like the interior and make-up of the bathroom. It wasn't as updated as the place I chose for mom. They have some amenities like they had a sitting area where the people can sit and watch television.
