I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
My mother loves Vista Springs… She participates in all activities, loves her manicures, enjoys all the attention that the staff gives her and is very happy with the three meals each day. This is certainly a perfect fit for mom and I couldn’t be more pleased knowing that she is so well taken care of. Thank you Vista Springs!!

This facility is incapable of taking care of more active dementia/Alzheimer's patients. Their knowledge and skills for memory care are lacking. My loved one was a resident for a short period of time and it was very clear to us early on that they prefer to have residents who are basically inactive. If your loved one is a wanderer, or periodically has some more aggressive behaviors common with Alzheimers, they do not know how to manage them. This was all new to us and they had little empathy for what we were going through as loved ones. The communication was poor and it was clear the director was more interested in making the facility pretty instead of educating staff and herself on care of the Dementia/Alzheimer's patients. We were extremely disgusted with how they handled my loved one's care. They even went so much as to state that my parent was faking behaviors. When one has Alzheimers, one has lost all control over reality. I know who my parent was and would never have behaved in those manners if it wasn't for this illness. There are better facilities in Holland for Dementia and Memory care. Vista Springs has no right to claim they are experts in Memory care.

Place is beautiful staff seemed friendly and kind, we were going to place my mother at this facility, but less then 24 hours before my mother was to move in we received a call stating they could not take her. The nurse came to visit mom two weeks before and evaluated her and her medical needs, we were told they could take care. They then took and cashed our check for a $2000.00 deposit. I had started to move things into mom's room and even talked to the nurse two days before move in and she assured me everything was "a ok" and was ready for her to move in. Mom was able to tour this place and fell in love and 24 hours before move we had to break the news to mom she was crushed. I feel that this was a very unprofessional and totally unacceptable.

I am very happy with Vista Springs Holland Meadows. My dad has only been there four or five days, but the place is as clean as can be, and the people are friendly. They have their own chef, and the food is fabulous. It’s not cafeteria-style food; it’s very well prepared. I like the way the staff takes care of him and the layout of the building. It’s secured but open. They make it feel like home for every resident.
