The rooms are clean and comfortable. My dad loves the food at Dodge Park. He’s never been a big eater and has always been skinny as a rail until now. He’s a healthy weight and raves about the food. The people at Dodge Park truly care about the residents. It’s so good to not have to worry about the level of care he is getting.

Great facility. They provide everything for mom from day. Finally I have a peace of mind knowing that I don't have to run with mom to doctor office as all happening on site. I will vote for them 100 stars If I could. Everything promised to me prior to admission is followed up to the point. I am visited frequently and the place is spotless.

The staff is always there to answer my questions and keep me updated as things are changing as my brother is adjusting to his new environment. They are always pleasant and caring as I see him interact with them. I am very thankful that they were there when we needed someone to help.

We are very happy with the care my mother receives at Dodge. She is treated like a member of the family by everyone. She is well taken care. She is clean and neat as is her room and the entire facility. The staff is very caring towards me. Everyone always has time to talk to me about my mother. We feel very fortunate to have found this wonderful place.

The facility's approach to memory care is both innovative and compassionate. Through their array of activities tailored to each resident's interests and abilities, we've seen noticeable improvements in our loved one's cognitive and emotional well-being. The art therapy sessions and music activities are a hit! And the sensory garden—what a beautiful touch. These efforts don't just serve as "time-fillers"; they genuinely enrich the residents' lives. Health and safety measures are also top-notch. The facility is immaculate, and the medical team is extraordinarily attentive. Special diets are catered to, medications are administered on time, and any medical concerns are promptly and effectively addressed.

My Mom had dementia and was a resident at Dodge Park, our experience there was excellent right from the start. They are very caring people and took wonderful care of my Mother. I had heard good things about Dodge Park and then when I read the excellent reviews, I knew this was the best place for my Mom. I met Micha first and he was so very caring in every way. I met with Carrie and nurse Sue who I would soon find out they were loving care givers. They kept Mom clean, safe and well cared for. I spoke to my Mom on Easter Sunday and she told me how good the food was there and how she felt loved there. The staff there took the time to know Mom and would talk to about her parents and her growing up in England. Mom told me many times she felt loved there. As a former Business Manager, I was so very impressed working with Cindy in the business office. She was wonderful to work with, just like the rest of the people at Dodge Park. May God Bless the owners and staff there, they are very special people.

The staff at Dodge part are very caring and attentive. Whenever I want to talk to my brother they are very helpful, and whenever there is an issue they contact me immediately. I enjoy being able to visit on the patio when possible. My brother has made a very good adjustment since he has been there and continues to be more comfortable each week.

My mother has been a resident of Dodge Park for 7 years. From the first day I can honestly say that she is cared for like family. They have activities for everyone from morning till night. The caregivers, nurses, kitchen staff and cleaning staff are the most patient, caring people one would hope to meet. The rooms are white glove clean. The food is first class. We've had dinner with Mom several times. Mom likes bingo and word games. She also enjoys the excercise classes and the entertainment people that come and play all the old songs from her younger years and sings right along with them! I cannot say enough wonderful things about Dodge Park and their staff. Mom is safe, well cared for and most importantly, she's happy!

Very happy with the care my mom is getting. She seem very happy during our visits. We are very impress with the infection control; the facility are doing and the extensive testing they do to all visitors of the facility before each visit. Mom always looks very sharp, clean, her hair well set (very important to our mom). I highly endorsed this facility to anyone who is lucky enough to secure a bed there. The staff are amazing and very responsive.

Mom has been at the Dodge Park facility for almost 5 years. This is her home. She is treated with respect and dignity. Everyone knows her name and addresses her accordingly. She continues to receive outstanding care from not only the caregivers but to the kitchen staff to the maintenance staff, recreation staff, laundry staff etc. One critical component of the Dodge Park facility is that the owners Micha and Ben truly have a passion for the quality of life of the residents. They are actively involved in the daily needs of the residents and make sure that everyone is involved with activities based on their ability. The cost may be more than other residential facilities, but having had Mom at other places, this is the BEST!!! I do not live in the area but I always know she is well cared for. Any surprise visits I make always reveal that she is clean, dressed appropriately and engaged in activities to the extent she can be. Bottom line is I can sleep at night knowing she is getting such great care and she is in the best place for her needs.

In the 4 years my mother has been a resident at Dodge Park, I have never been disappointed. From the very first visit I could tell the standards of care were very high. From the nursing staff and personal care attendants, to the housekeepers, maintenance and kitchen crews, I witnessed employees from every department willing to jump in to assist residents and family members. The staff treats residents with patience, respect and compassion, and I am always informed of new developments related to my mom - medication changes, unusual behavior, etc. The owners interact personally and often with residents. If there was a sixth star, then Dodge Park has earned it, especially during the past year of Covid. I highly recommend Dodge Park!

Words cannot express my gratitude to the staff and management at Dodge Park Rest home. My husband Bob suffered from frontotemporal dementia, one of the more rare forms. When I came to Dodge to seek assistance with caring for my husband, you understood my situation immediately and worked closely with me to get to know Bob and his needs. We started slowly with Bob attending the Day Club at Dodge Park. Bob was exercising, baking, crafting, and doing things that he truly enjoyed. He made many new friends. I could tell it was special for him because he used to take special care in choosing his attire for his days at Day Club. As his dementia progressed and it became more difficult for Bob to function safely at home, we decided to make him a permanent resident at Dodge Park Rest Home. Bob was a happy guy and managed to entertain staff and residents with his joking, friendly flirting, and his kindness until the end of his days. Bob's continued happy demeanor is a tribute to the the staff who came to love Bob as much as I do. I'm so grateful to have found Dodge Park. I want to thank the staff and management for the care and best quality of life that my husband could have had during the course of his dementia. Thank you and bless you all. Pat M

At Dodge Park, my sister's needs are being met. Julia is naturally active and curious, and needs something to do. Good care, expert medical supervision, friendly, caring staff, good food, meticulous cleanliness, and memory care programs were important, and they are all there. We found a home for Julia where she can move about, keep what skills she has, maybe develop new ones, and make some new friends. As family, we entrusted her medical care to the conscientious staff of physicians and nurses who carefully supervise her medical care, and monitor her medications to assure that her individual needs are being met, and that her family is notified when changes are necessary. Spiritual care is also provided. Dodge Park remains Covid Free - the residents are safe and healthy. After two years, I can still attest that Dodge Park was the right decision.

My Mom is currently residing at Dodge Park in the memory unit. I cannot begin to say how grateful my family and I are with the amazing care & safety given to my Mom. They are taking every step every day to keep my Mom and the other residents safe against this horrible Covid-19 pandemic. My Mom already has received her vaccine. They have many wonderful programs 7 days a week to keep them involved, entertained and many other caring ways to make each them feel special. I am so grateful to know that my Mom is being well looked after 24/7. The entire staff works as a team to provide exceptional care throughout. The facility is super clean and up to date with technologies. I can sleep at night, knowing that my Mom is receiving amazing support and exceptional care. Thank you

My mother has been in the care of Dodge Park for a few years. I believe the entire staff treats the residents like family. She is well cared for, and they really seem to know her as a person. It has been very difficult with Covid, we have not been able to see her but as often as I call to see how she is doing they always make time from their busy day to talk with me . The facility is always clean, and they offered many activities to keep residents busy. Anyone who is making the difficult decision to put their loved one in a memory care facility, I would definitely recommend Dodge Park.

Dodge park is a great place for a person who has Alzheimer’s. My mom has been there over 4 years and it feels like home. The staff are phenomenal. They are friendly, professional, and kind to all. There are so many activities for the residents. They have music performers, animal supports dogs and exercise people who come in and engage the residents. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I can’t say enough about Dodge it’s like a home away from home. The overall atmosphere is great and the residents love the staff and are always engaged. It’s a wonderful place to have a loved one who has Alzheimer’s there very experiences and knowledgeable I’m so thankful I found such a wonderful place for my mom to live.

My mother has been a resident at Dodge Park Rest Home for more than 2 years. This facility is amazing. Every employee is well trained in strategies to interact with dementia patients. They make the residents feel comfortable and LOVED. The residents truly believe they are part of their family. The two owners of the facility were destined to take care of the elderly. It is their true calling. The administration only excepts the best from their employees. If you are looking for a safe place for your loved one, please check out this rest home. It is comforting to know that their is always someone there to hold my mother's hand or give her a much needed hug!

We recently place dad in the facility. Dad doing very well after 2 months. We had quite a road map in past year moving 3 different facilities until we found Dodge Park. Staff are amazing. Dad very happy. He enjoyed the meal very much and the activities. They are taking resident Healthcare in a very serious way due to the Covid pandemic.

I visited this facility

Right now, we're working with Dodge Park Rest Home for my mother. We're still working on the process. We weren't allowed in because of the COVID, so we could only meet outside. The outside of the facility looked very nice. The administrator that we talked to was very, very pleasant, and very helpful. Well, assisted living is ruled out. When I explained her level of care, he realized that also. We talked about the memory care unit and the rest home facilities as far as the level of care that my mother would receive there. The staff was absolutely wonderful. He has continued to follow up and he has been very supportive. Outstanding.

The owner worked with me on an expedite to admit my mother to a safe and appropriate enviornment. My mother has advanced Alzheimer’s, and is in absolute denial of the disease. My mother was most stubborn on leaving her home. And although she writes and calls 10 x per day she wants to go home, she became acclimated to Dodge Park after some professional coaching and coxing from the staff at Dodge Park. Now she looks at look at Dodge Park as her home away from home. I can’t put in words to convey how wonderful the staff is at Dodge Park. The Aides are amazing. The Nurses run Dodge Park better than most corporations. They engage with the residents from the time they awake to the time they go sleep. This is an active, engaged environment. Last, I came to learn from head nurses and directors of other memory care facilities, that the model of Dodge Park is unique, and they can’t match the around the clock medical staff and support offered by Dodge Park.

Bringing Life to Those We Serve - Dodge Park Motto The Dodge Park staff truly helps a person find joy in life. My ninety year old dad ran his home for two years, alone, after caring for my mom for many years. His emotions were paranoia, anger and sadness. He had outlived many of the people he knew and loved. His early impressions of Dodge Park living were, “They put my clean clothes away for me,” and “I can’t believe how much I eat: they serve me hot chocolate with whipped cream.” The staff talks with him, calls him by name, agrees with him, asks him what he wants, encourages him to be with them and the residents to socialize, and find ways to help him look forward to his day at Dodge Park. It has taken us, his family, time to believe that Dodge Park is really that good. It is very clean, the staff is hard working-constantly on their feet helping, and they warmly welcome us to the many activities and always have a meal for us so we can do what we always do with dad – sit and eat! Today, dad would like to learn the names of all of his Dodge Park family. He is no longer alone, he wants to be a part of the group, and I saw him smile yesterday, priceless. Dodge Park resident since April, 2019.

We placed Margret at Dodge Park last September and we are really quite happy with it as of right now. I've been up to visit with her several times. She's well taken care of. Her primary care physician and psychiatrist are right at the rest home. She has round the clock care and people monitor her medications. She gets her medication on a regular basis. Prior to that, she was in her own apartment and she wasn't taking her medication on a regular basis. We didn’t know how she was eating and that kind of thing and we were afraid she was going to fall because she has problems walking. I just got a notification that they're going to be offering a dental hygiene that’s going to come right to the rest home and offer a cleaning. So the only thing that she has to go out for is like an eye exam with an ophthalmologist and I take her to that. The bottom line is, we're quite satisfied with where she is. The staff is very, very helpful and I really get the impression that they have the team concept there where people are really helping each other, and that's impressive. I've had meals there and the food is really good, restaurant style. They also take into consideration when somebody is diabetic. They have diabetic meals and so forth. The facility is older than Oasis but still very nicely kept. It’s clean and there's no offensive smells (no smell of urine or anything like that). Her bed is made every day. When I was visiting with her the other day, there was a young lady who came in and she wanted to clean the window sills. Now, you know what I mean? How often does that happen? They provide some very good programs as far as things that people can participate in like some very nice programs around the Holidays (Thanksgiving and Christmas) where they have a meal and live entertainment. They have coloring, bingo, sing-a-long and movie night. As a matter of fact my sister has told me not to come over before 3 o'clock in the afternoon because she’s busy. She doesn't want to be bothered with people coming and visiting her until 3 o'clock. For somebody in the rest home, she got a schedule. But, we are in a situation where we pay quite a bit for the first 2 years and then after that they apply to a government agency so that she doesn't have to pay anything else after that for the rest of her life. There must be other people in rest homes who know about this but when we were going to place her they were very quick to bring this to our attention. That we pay quite a bit for the first two years and if there's money left over the lawyer transfers it into a trust fund. So we think we have a good plan in action here.

To know that my Mom is safe every day means the world to me. She has been a resident at Dodge Park for just over a year now and the difference in her is amazing. She is very happy living there and she appreciates how much the staff do for her day in and day out. She tells me all the time she feels lucky to have made so many friends including the residents and staff. The entire staff continue to go above and beyond every day with her care. Her room is immaculate, her clothes are always clean, the dining hall is spotless, kudos to the staff for the upkeep of such a large facility. I had the privilege of participating in one of the day hab programs on Patriots Day with Mom and very impressed by the structure of the activities planned surrounding that holiday. Ben & Micha's knowledge of dementia attributes to the well being of all the residents, the monthly newsletter is full of facts that are very helpful to anyone who has a friend/relative with dementia. Every Saturday I visit so Mom and I can participate with Jorge doing aerobics, the smiles he puts on the residents face is priceless, such a caring gentlemen. I would highly recommend Dodge Park Rest Home.

Couldn't recommend this place more. My father lived here, until he moved across the street to the newer Oasis. The owners and staff are incredibly helpful and I'd trust them with anyone. The facility isn't new, but everything works great, and the most important thing in healthcare is the staff and there is none better.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Both my parents moved in to Dodge Park Rest Home a little over five years ago. It was more of my father's needs, not so much of my mother. My father passed away in April 2014 and mom has resided here since then. She's 93 now and been getting wonderful care but slowed down a little bit because her memory is failing. It's an older building which is what attracted my parents. We took them to several places in the area which were mostly in the newer end and they thought they were too grand and too fancy. They walked in to Dodge Park which was one time a private residence sort of a mansion situation. It's older (there's no doubt about it) but you'll see real woodwork. They felt more at home there than going into these newer fancier places. Dodge Park is clean. It doesn't have the right equipment that they need but it has a different look because it's an older building. It just look different. The aides are really nice and very pleasant. They joke and tease my mother. They're also very watchful of her. There were minor things because of two falls two months of each other but we didn't put her in rehab after the second one because she was getting better care at Dodge Park than in the rehab. The owners have been very attentive. My mother landed in the hospital from the first fall and one of the owners came that day while I was waiting in the emergency room. In addition, the food always smelled good. I don't eat there very often because I usually go there at lunchtime but they have a variety. It's also nutritious and balanced. They have soup, little salads or food and vegetable combination every day. They have things common to them that they like and then occasionally different things. There's also a lot of entertainment but she doesn't participate in activities as much as she used to. When she was first there she would do bingo, word games or little contests things that they have. She never got into doing any crafts. You look at the schedule, there's stuff going on all day long into the evening. Occasionally mom does facials, make up or paint her nails from a woman who comes in from Mary Kay. There are various church services from time to time, people coming to play piano or guitar, music background or do some singing. Sometimes they have special movie night, barbeque or an ice cream truck come in different times to get soft serve ice cream during the summer. They have exercise programs too. The facility is good and it wouldn't probably hurt if they would make some changes. I don't know how they would do but I know they've got new windows in there, cleaning is updated and they paint the rooms regularly. The value is excellent. We have no complaints at all.

I love Dodge Park Rest Home. My mother is content and happy there. She's well taken care of. Honestly, I couldn't ask for anything more. The nurses and staff are very nice. I sleep at night knowing the people there are very caring, are right there when she needs help and on top of any of her issues. It's also very clean. I like the homey feeling of the old house. There's no odor, it's like your own home. Housekeeping does a very good job. In addition, the food tastes good. I actually bring my kids with me sometimes. They like the food there. My mother tries to participate in all their activities. They have arts and crafts, a gentleman that comes in and does music like guitar or singing and dancing with them and another one does exercise. Overall, it's a wonderful place. My mother likes it there.

My mother has been at Dodge Park for 5 years. I'm very impressed with the care she's gotten. Everyone is very attentive. The staff really loves her. They give her a lot of affection which is important because I don't live in the area. They're very respectful of families when families come. I really appreciate that they make sure you have time alone or participate in any of the activities if you want. I get regular updates with any minor or major concerns or anytime anything at all changes. I'm very happy because I'm very close terms with the nurse practitioner and the doctor who work with her through Dodge Park. Mother is 94 years old. We had some incidents that could have gone a different way but I think because of the care she receives there and Doctor and Mrs Weinstock, She's very happy and very healthy. The facility is very home-like. It's not very modern but they have a very modern system to take care of residents. It's all computerized, there's touch screens throughout so people can access or input information easily without having to go place off and do it. I think is marvelous that all of the staff is able to record information as it happens. There are a couple of living rooms, sun room and outdoor area. The dining room is very cozy too. I feel that she's in very good hands. I really couldn't have done any better anywhere else and I don't even think I could have done as well as we've done at Dodge Park.

Dodge Park is wonderful. They take very good care of my mother. They care and respect her and all the other residents. She's always busy, clean and well fed. The facility is very clean. They have a very nice patio that the residents can sit out in the sunshine. Everybody's out in the open. The staff is excellent, they couldn't be any better. They know who you are, who you're related to and who you visited. They're always smiling and saying hi. They stop for a moment when someone is having an issue. My mother was confused one day and one of the girls took her to her room. She showed her all of the family pictures that are hanging in her room which kind of calmed her down and brought her back. To take that moment and do that, that's VERY nice. The staff really loves their job. There's also entertainment. They have music, people come in to play the piano and guitar and they do singing. There are evenings when the family comes and have dinner with their loved ones. They have ice cream sundaes, little parties to celebrate different things that come up like Fourth of July and Hawaiian Day (which was very nice). They have their nails done too which my mother loves. The food is VERY GOOD! It always smells so good in there. I feel very comfortable with Dodge Park. I don't have to worry about my mother. You can't get any better with being treated with respect and care. I say there's a lot of love there. They not only care for the residents but they also care for the family members too. It's like taking care of mother here at home.

I'm very happy that my aunt is in Dodge Park. It's very clean and never had any odor. The staff is very good and very conscientious. I know she's very happy with the food. The only time I've eaten there is during parties like Christmas and Thanksgiving but they serve a variety of things. They're having a thing next week because of their anniversary and they opened up a new facility. They're always having entertainment and exercises but my aunt doesn't really partake in a lot of them.

I find Dodge Park as one of the best that I've gone through to review. The care is excellent. The staff is very caring and attentive to all the residents. The location is very easy to get to; it’s set in an area that is not dealing with a lot of traffic. The dining room set up is run VERY well. The staff serving and helping the residents are extremely good. I've seen the food being served on the table and it’s very good. I've eaten there on occasions when they've had open house.

Dodge Park is an outstanding rest home. The facility is warm, the staff is dedicated, loving and so interactive with all the residents and families. The food is creative and varied; the activities range from live music weekly, activities and exercise classes to cook outs and holiday parties. My Mother has and is receiving wonderful care there both medically and emotionally. I wouldn't want her to be anywhere else. I'm there every Saturday and Sunday and have been for over a year and a half. I can not speak highly enough of Dodge Park, its staff and its model of care.

Thank you very much for a 5 star review. We never take it for granted when someone placed a loved one in our facility. We all committed to provide the most fund, loving environment to our residents. Thank you for supporting our program.

My mother in law is in the old facility of Dodge Park. She's been there for several years. There are two buildings that are right across from each other now. We have been very comfortable having her there. We feel that they've taken good care of her and we trust them. The food is okay. I mean my mother in law eats it all so she's satisfied. We have eaten there very little but the dining set up is lovely. They have tables but a lot of the patients really can't converse or at least my mother in law certainly can't so she's in a table that's pretty quite. Some of the other residents that are more cognitively still social have that opportunity. One minor concern I realized is that they have a lot of patients there and a lot of laundry to do. We just had a really hard time making sure that her clothing was getting returned to her. I ended up putting her name in great big patches on her clothes and embroidering her initials so things go back to her. That would be the thing somebody coming in has really had to handle.

Mom moved recently to Dodge Park. We are very happy. Dad spent close to a year at this facility about 6 years ago and we were very thrill to find out that all key personnel are still working at this facility. So far we very happy. Mom doing very well and start walking up on her own again just after a week at the facility. Nursing staff are amazing and keep me inform at all time on all new developments, orders and how mom is doing. If you looking for a long term care facility call them today.

Provider Response

Thank you Leah. It was our honor caring for dad and now mom. Thank you for the trust in our unique model. It is always a pleasure to have such supporting family members like you and the entire family. I personally promised to have mom stay as enjoyable as dad time was. I know he is in a better place and watch mom from way up as well as watching us. Have a wonderfull week.

For what it is, Dodge Park does a very good job. However, they won't let my mom do a lot by herself, and she wishes she could especially when she won't be able to forever because of her Parkinson's. Dodge Park is amazing though. They have a ton of activities. The staff members are very nice. They're very positive and very upbeat. Clearly, they like my mom. It just really bothered me that they're not respecting her wishes to have a little more independence. The décor is really beautiful. It looks like a beautiful house. My mother's room is also beautiful. Their activities are really impressive. I mean they're always partying or having some class. There's always something going on.

Provider Response

Thank you for your review - I am very glad that you are overall very satisfied with our services. In regards to the comment about your wishes to give Mom more freedom due to her disease, I can only respond in limited capacity due to HIPAA rules, and I don't want to expose her overall medical condition. All orders for Mom are coming from her medical team, including the fall precaution, safety, and walking. Mom had a few incidents in the past prior of coming to our facility, and in our facility that triggers extra care and love. Mom was evaluated by a licensed physical therapist, and all recommendations involving her care were channeled to the medical team from the PT/and O/T. I wish we could let her roam around the facility freely by herself, but does not seem to be a reasonable expectation based on her current condition. We are happy to meet and discuss again as we did in our previous care plan meeting and involve all of the medical team. Thank you again for trusting us with Mom's care. It is our honor and pleasure to care for such a lovely lady, and we're looking forward to many more years of caring for her.

When my mother's dementia got to a point where she needed a safe place to live, we began the search to find a place that would care for her they way she deserved. After a failed attempt at that goal, we were referred to Dodge Park. It was a Godsent! The owners and staff there are the most compassionate and dedicated group you could ask for. My father visited with my mother everyday and he was able to observe and monitor her daily care and he would always come home feeling like Mom was is the best possible place we could give her. We are truly grateful for Dodge Park and the whole staff there. Thank you for all you do! If you are looking for a safe and caring "home" for a loved one, look no further. You have found the best in the area.

My dad needed a facility that can provide his need and have experience with dementia care. Dodge Park name was given to us by a social worker at UMass memorial My dad still fully function on his own for some degree and can handle some dressing on his own. We were looking for a place that dad can stay if his condition get worst. I did not want to move him up again. I met Dodge Park facility owners Ben and Micha for a long first meeting. At the time of my initial visit they had no available bed but really took the time to help me find a temporary and suitable stay until a bed open up in a nearby nursing home facility. Ben went with me to the facility and introduce me to the administrator and director of nursing. What a service!!! My dad moved to this facility for the time being and I still hope and pray that a bed will open for dad sooner than later at Dodge Park. Both Ben and Micha followed up with me and check how is dad doing. You don't find this kind of service anymore. Both Dodge Park owners did show a true and real interest in my dad well being before any discussion about money ever done. I can not thank them enough for all of their support during a very difficult time few weeks ago.

I found Dodge Park almost as a last resort. My husband had Alzheimer's. He had fallen at home and hit his head in May 2014. He went into the hospital for 5 days. He was so agitated that they wouldn't let me bring him home. Dodge Park came and said they would take him. So we were very grateful that we weren't left hanging in the wind. He was there for 18 months and they took really good care of him. However, he went downhill, though we've been known about it for 15 years, and you don't know what course it's going to take. He became more frail. He was a bit agitated when he first got there, but it was only about 25 minutes away from home, so I could go almost every day to see him. I highly recommend Dodge Park. I actually miss the people there, because they've become part of the family. All of the aides were professional and good. They did a great job. It's a well-oiled machine. Having so many people in their care is amazing and how they handled everyone.

My overall experience with Dodge Park has been exceptional. They are truly out of this world when it comes to caring individuals. We're Indian in origin. My mom's Alzheimer's/dementia was getting worse to the point that she had agitation, hallucination, and aggression. It was just very hard to take care of her at home, so we had to look for private assisted living facility. The first one that we went to was horrible. I was practically in tears. I found Dodge Park during my initial search for assisted living. I met Carrie, an RN and head of nursing. Mom wasn't showing any aggression symptoms, but the other nursing home had kicked her out. Even before I had signed up, just out of the goodness of her heart, Carrie got a bed at Clinton Hospital. So my mom was at Clinton for 20 days and then they set her up to Dodge Park. And it didn't even end there. Mom was still adjusting to the medication for passive aggressive issues, and they helped me find another therapy for my mother. Carrie didn't give up on my mother. She also worked with the insurance. She was truly like an angel. It was very hard for me culturally. Mom is happy now. She doesn't speak very fluent English, but they have accommodated that. They had to learn words of our language, so that they can better take care of her. They figured out how to dress her in the Indian clothes and even bring her Indian food. They had made her feel so much at home. I have never encountered so much humanity as I have encountered at Dodge Park. They were my savior.

My husband was at Dodge Park as a resident for under two years. To me, his safety was primary and found that it was number one on each caregiver's mind also. The cleanliness of the residents with three showers per week was important to me. Food was excellent and the kitchen staff tried very hard to accommodate each resident's taste and diets. Tables were set with white table clothes and the servers were very polite and patient. Activities and special parties were always looked forward to by the residents. My husband loved the music very much and liked to share it with me. He also received much attention and affection from the caregivers and activity staff. It became like a large family for me as I visited each day. Having medical staff easily accessible if needed was important also. Micah and staff try very hard and succeed in the care of each resident.

My mom move to Dodge Park from home. Living with me for most part. Mom can be restless and not sleeping at time. I convey my concerns to facility administrator and director of nursing during my meeting and they both seem very comfortable on having mom at Dodge Park. I was very worry if she will be able to care for as few nursing home I visited told me they might have a problem with mom. I have to say, that now after 3 months at Dodge it could not been better. The staff member are very attentive. I am getting a detail report on regular base in regard to mom behavior. I know that the reports are very honest. I might don't like to hear many of the details of what mom is doing but I know in my heart that this is mom. I am feeling very relax when leaving mom. I know she is in good hand. It is so refreshing to see owners like Ben and Mike so involve with resident care. If you have a mom or dad diagnosedwith dementia, Dodge Park is the place for them.

Thank you for the kind word. At Dodge Park we are trying very hard to make every single member 100% satisfy. Every day is a fresh day that we are asking ourselves what we can do better. WE always available to meet and discuss any concern with a family member. WE invest a lot in our staff training prior to work and as ongoing year around. The dementia training is a big ticket for us and we provide over 20 hours a year of ongoing dementia training.

I am writing this review to offer my sincere appreciation for a wonderful program offered by Dodge Park and coordinated by Elaine. My mother has been a resident at Dodge Park for about 3½ years. She came to Dodge Park after first moving from her long-time home in Florida to an independent living facility, and then to Dodge Park. My sister and I moved our mother to Dodge Park when it became clear to us that her physical decline coupled with her dementia had progressed to such a point that she was no longer able to care for herself even with daily help in her independent living facility. While her physical decline was difficult to deal with, our mother had dementia that was slowly but surely robbing us of the mother we had known all of our lives. My sister lived in Colorado, which was an added difficulty. Because of the distance, she was not available on a daily basis to offer her support and to share the ever increasing burden of being there for our mother. It was during this time that I found the Alzheimer’s Support Group. The Alzheimer’s Support Group is a wonderful resource offered by Dodge Park not only for family members of the residents but also to families in the local community whose loved ones have Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia. Dodge Park sponsors the group and offers facilities for its meetings. The group is lead by Elaine, a social worker from the Jewish Family Service of Worcester. Elaine is a skilled social worker. One of the things that makes this group so special is Elaine’s welcoming manner. Her caring and nurturing manner helps create an environment where each person in the group knows that they can speak freely. She makes every effort to make sure that everyone who attends the group on any particular evening has their concerns and issues addressed. Elaine provides a forum where caregivers feel at ease to express their feelings and seek help and advice from Elaine and from other caregivers who have had similar experiences. Elaine and the other caregivers also provide information about resources available in the community that can help families in need. Some people attend each monthly meeting and others attend on a less regular basis. This mix of attendees continuously changes the group dynamic as well as the experiences, the concerns, and the issues discussed at each meeting. While we all know that Alzheimer’s is a devastating and deadly disease, at the beginning of each meeting, Elaine mentions to those who attend that it is OK to use humor to help alleviate the seriousness of their issues. Elaine always reminds caregivers that they must take care of themselves in order to have the strength and where-with-all to take care of their loved ones. As I mentioned, the group is fluid in that there can be different and/or new people coming each month. But due in large part to Elaine’s guidance and caring manner, one constant component in every meeting is the strong sense of comradery among the members. Each person in the group knows that everyone there is in this together and each participant provides support and compassion for each other. In this season of sharing and giving thanks, I want to thank Dodge Park for sponsoring the Alzheimer’s Support Group and thank Elaine for being our group leader. Having attended the Alzheimer’s Support Group for three years, I know that I and those who attend the Alzheimer’s Support Group are very thankful for this service that Dodge Park offers the family members of its residents and to the community at large. We are all thankful for and grateful to the group’s compassionate and caring facilitator, Elaine, who gives family members much needed strength to do what they need to do in order to care for their loved ones. The group meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month. Prior to the start of the meeting at 5:30 p.m., a light supper is available for those who wish to arrive early and socialize before the meeting begins. Everyone who attends these meetings leaves feeling as if they are not alone in dealing with the kinds of issues they face and knowing that they have the caring support of the group behind them.

My mom has been with Dodge Park for six and a half years. She has the best care that she could possibly have. She is cared for by an extremely dedicated staff and ownership that truly cares for its residents. I cannot speak more highly of them. They have been cooperative of every single aspect of the work that needs to be done for mom. Dodge Park is very clean. We looked into a lot of other places back then but there were no other facility that came anywhere near the cleanliness of Dodge Park. There was none that came close with them. I'm very, very happy with Dodge Park.

Dodge Park is good. It's a very clean place. It doesn't smell at all. The staff is caring and helpful. They would let you know if your husband or wife is on a different medication and why it is so. They get my husband involved like talk to him or give him books to read. They have a lot of activities for residents. After dinner every night, they have a little volleyball or kick ball as well as entertainments. They celebrate monthly birthday parties for the celebrators of the month. The food is very good. They get a choice of two entrees at lunch and at dinner. There's also soup, salad and dessert.

Whenever we had problems, we could discuss it with the owner. Also, the care they provide is wonderful. My mother recently had pneumonia. Since we couldn't be there, the aide she was familiar with sat and talked with her. My mother loved it. I don't have enough good words to say about the community. I would highly rate Dodge Park Rest Home.

Facility owners, Ben and Mike are incredible. Every promised was delivered and more. They even drove mom themselves in the bus and help me transfer few of her furniture's. My mother came to live with me very unexpectedly. My stepfather died very suddenly. She has dementia and I took her in the minute he died. It was very traumatic for her. I can't put her in a home because she was going through such a trauma. After a few months, I realize that my mother and I both needed something. She needed some time to be with people her age to be more engaged. I needed some time to have a time of my own. I'm a nurse and my colleague mentioned Dodge Park and I Googled it. It was love at first sight! My mother loved it and I knew it was right for her. We were very happy we found the place. She enjoyed herself. Since she had dementia, it took her a few weeks to be very comfortable. Now, she wants to go everyday. The reason why I like Dodge Park is because they have a range of levels. I know my mother is getting rest. There are people whom she can engage who are on her level too. She could play bingo and she still does. Dodge Park is just a perfect fit for her because the place is not that big. She does not get overwhelmed. It's a family environment. They love her. She hugs everybody. They make her feel very comfortable. I like the fact that they treat me as her daughter, not a client or a nurse. They tell me how her day went and they observed. They gave her care with a personal touch and made her feel at home. I want this for her so I can work during the day. The staff keeps her safe, fed, challenged and amused. They know how she takes her coffee when she goes in the morning. They're just very, very personable. It feels like it's family. A very warm family.

I visit in a very irregular pattern, so I have observed staff working with residents at various time periods. I have always been impressed with the attention and kindness toward the residents, which was not the case with a previous facility my mother was a resident of. Dodge Park owners are very hands-on, and are present in the building most of the time. I am notified of any concerns of the staff, and if my mother is having any issues I am notified. The social events, games, and interaction have built a nice community, and the Rest Home feels more like a home to her!

My dad was in a hospital and the social worker suggested that I should look at Dodge Park. I told her that I've already been to so many places and I couldn't find the proper place to put dad. When I went there during my first visit, I knew it was perfect. It all comes down to the staff and the policies of the owners and the way they run the place. It's just great when my dad can have friends come to visit and his friends can eat with him in the dining room with no charge. One time I asked the owner how they do that and he said that we will treat the place as my dad's home and if my dad has friends in his home he would invite him for lunch and he wouldn't expect him to pay. So they don't expect the guests of their residents to pay. The staff are incredible. I can tell that they're very well trained. My dad is a constant challenge to people there. He has dementia and his behavior can be really unacceptable but yet they never seemed to blame him for it. They just find another way to approach him. They learn a new way that if they go in and become his buddy first and then give him a little time to get used to the idea, like it's time for him to take a shower, he would be more willing to go and take a shower. Sometimes little things can get dad very irritated to a point where he would swing his arms and kick his feet. The main thing that I found with Dodge Park is that in spite of my dad having dementia, he is not stuck in just one part of the building like a lot of other places where they only deal in one area with people who have memory problems. With Dodge Park, my dad gets to go and roam out of the building safely because of the way the building is set up.

The entertainment that they provide for the residents is wonderful. It gears toward the era that those folks have lived in. So for cognitively impaired adults that's just wonderful. My mother is an example of a quite ballroom dancer and a lot of the entertainment that they provide incorporates bringing in folks who play ballroom music. I can't say enough about the entertainment. My mother is a very social person so it's been a huge help to her. The aides are very hands on toward the residents. I'm a medical professional myself and the care that the aides provide day in and day out is not phony. They are lovely and good to all of the patients including the tough patients. My mother would be the person to tell me if she was unhappy with something and she is beyond happy. I never seen anything like Dodge Park Rest Home. I tell people all over the place about them.

I visited this facility

The hospital in Clinton that my wife was in made a strong recommendation for Dodge Park. We felt that Dodge Park was best suited for her. My wife has been there for 2 years now. I have no complaints. They treat my wife very well. They're always friendly and cheerful to me when I go in to visit her. They always call her by her name. They watch her medication. Whenever she has a problem, they're right there to solve it. I have no complaints with the whole scenario. I'm very pleased with Dodge Park and I would recommend them to anybody. They're doing the same work today with the same cheerfulness that they did 2 years ago when we first went in there.

I visited this facility

My mom was around 93 years old, she couldn't live on her own. She came over to my house maybe for 7 or 8 months and then I heard about Dodge Park's wonderful Day Club program. I went and visited since I didn't know much about Dodge Park. I've heard of it but didn't know much about it. They gave me a great tour and they were very welcoming and friendly. They told me about their Day club and their Rest Home too. I went on the tour and I met some staff members and volunteers too. I was very very impressed but of course my mother who had lived on her own for decades wasn't that keen on leaving our house during the day and be back at night. So I brought her down there and she took the same tour and she was very impressed. I did put her in the Day Club. I'd bring her in the morning and pick her up after dinner at night. She was there most of the day. She loved it. She was with the Day Club for several month and then when she couldn't function well, I talked to her about moving in to Dodge Park Rest Home. She's already comfortable with the staff and the program and so she agreed to move in. She did spend most of the last months of her life living in the rest home. I always found the care to be excellent. All the staff from the the administrator staff, Michael, the nursing staff to the people who cooked the meals and who served them, to the volunteer staff, I was just so impressed with Dodge Park. The facility is very very clean with no odor. It's very inviting and well-lit. It's well decorated during holidays. They kept the place safe and comfortable. It's a very relaxing place for the residents and for the visitors. The staff everywhere are so caring. You go in and they don't look the other way. They greet you. When she was in the Day Club, I picked her up after dinner. I sometimes eat with her or sit with her there. The food was very good. She loved the food there. It surprised me because my mother is an old Jewish woman and when she's in a hospital or in the nursing home she didn't like the food. She never complained about the food in Dodge Park. She found most meals there very tasty and delicious. She looks forward to it. She always stayed for dinner and wants to be with her friends. I went to functions there. They had like 3 functions in a year for a nice holiday and they always invited families. I get to see my mother and see our friends and the staff and spend some time there. The food is always good. My mom was happier with Dodge Park than she was at home. When she was at home she had me and my wife. It's good but she only interact with two people. She didn't want to go at first but at the end she didn't want to come back here at home. She liked it there. It was her fear of change at first that made her hesitant to be at Dodge Park but she adjusted because they treated her well. They treated her right and took such good care of her. I always appreciate that. They took good care of my mom and they took good care of all the people I met there. I come everyday and stop by, might be 5 minutes or 2 hours. I get to know so many of the residents. I can see that it's a good place for the residents there; for my mother and all her friends. I was really amazed. I didn't know a lot about rest homes and nursing homes at that time, but I do know a lot more now, it's mainly because I got educated at Dodge Park. People have asked me about Dodge Park and I always told them that it's a safe place to put a family member because they take care of them and treat them right. They introduce them to others and have good activities going on which was great for my mother. She was the never the type to get involved with activities on the different apartment complexes that she lived in but with Dodge Park they really encourage them to get involved with activities to use their brain. I always appreciate that. My mother liked the book club and the reading that they did. It was great! She surprised me that she liked the activities. Dodge Park surprised me by the way they took care of their residents.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I looked at a lot of facilities and to be honest, they frightened me. They just looked like a hospital and they were impersonal but Dodge Park is like being in a home. It has a home-like atmosphere. It's like a group living situation in a home instead of in a hospital. I've learned that their objective is to keep as active as possible. At that time, my mother was coming out of a rehab and was in a wheelchair. Their objective was to get rid of her wheelchair which they did. Whereas my fear was seeing other people that I'd known and visited in nursing homes. Basically they just put them in wheelchairs to prevent liability and to protect the person. It wasn't their objective to get better, it was to protect them. I feel that with Dodge Park, their objective is help people get better. The thing that I find so incredible is that every single staff person knows my name, knows my mother, and knows where she is all the time. They genuinely care about her. Each one has a personal relationship with everyone of the residents. Say if I take my mom out for the day, when we come back someone always greets her at the door, takes her by the hand, takes her coat, ask her how her day was, knows specifically what she's doing and can ask her about that. Every single staff member cares and they treat my mother like a family member. My mother shares a room now. She was in a room by herself originally. They very carefully selected a roommate for her and I think being together in that room has been an improvement for both of them. My mom is very happy there. She was in a hospital for a while and all she wanted was to get back to Dodge Park. Again, the facility is very home-like with all the decor. They have photographs and very personal touches everywhere there. Not just in the rooms but in hall and in the dining room. It looks like you're going into somebody's house. I have eaten there also and I think the food is very good and my mom enjoyed it too.

I visited this facility

We chose Dodge Park Rest Home because they had the social model. The whole platform is to really fill the needs of the patients. Not to have patients fit in to what they have. They have such a genuine interest in who my mother was as a human being and what all her needs were with the most enormous amount of compassion. It was so good when we met them and we really wondered if it's going to be true, and it had been. My mother had dementia. She had been in a continuing care place and she was not able to stay there. She was having sundowning at night. She was not able to live independently. They helped us transition her to Dodge Park. She had so much attention and so many people there for her. Every single person who is part of the staff really knows and cares about the patients. I can call anytime of day and whoever answers the phone is completely tuned in to exactly how things were going with my mother. They're so caring and such a heart level of professionalism. I think that my family would have been fallen apart if we have not found Dodge Park. She needed some medication adjustment and they have a fantastic psychiatrist who has a ward that would stabilize her, with just people with dementia. Dodge Park staff visited her while she was there. They were in touch with her and us at all time. I don't think there's another place like it. It's the real deal. Everything they say they are doing, and more. The facility itself is immaculate. There's no odor. They were constantly improving the facility and they were putting carpets around the hall. The food is really excellent and healthy. I've had meals there with my mother. They have a lovely sitting area outside with the canopy on top with wonderful comfortable chairs for residents to be outside and get some fresh air. The have nice classrooms. There they have arts and sculptures. Their dining room is very attractive. They have a phenomenal computer system, and they have one downstairs that the residents can use. Sometimes they help my mother Skype with my sister in California. I can't even imagine what my mother's life would be like if she were not at this place.
