I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mom has lived at Prospect House for a few years now and she absolutely loves being there! She use to be a stay to herself kind of person and since moving in there she has become quiet the social butterfly. The actives provided are so welcoming and its always a full house in the activity room. Everyone is always super helpful whenever we need anything. The management team is always willing to try to help us with everything we request and go above and beyond on a regular basis. Making this move was really hard on our entire family, but the staff have made it such an easy transition. We will forever be grateful for how well they care for our mom.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

I needed to find a memory care unit for my mom who has Alzheimer's Dementia. While I was researching I read the reviews for Prospect House but unfortunately did not pay attention to them. I was so taken aback by the tour we had and all they promised that I decided to over look the bad reviews. I am begging you to not do the same thing I did. There is a reason there are bad reviews and they are true. I have witnessed it first hand. We moved my mom into Generations at Prospect House in June 2022 the first couple weeks were amazing but down hill very quickly there after. Since then it's been nothing short of living nightmare. I would arrive to find my mom had not been showered and her hair would be so greasy. Her bed would have urine stained sheets. Her laundry would be over flowing with wet items in with the regular laundry causing everything to smell. We were getting calls that she was falling every single day (she never fell before she moved to Prospect). All the falls were always "unwitnessed". Not sure how they were all unwitnessed when the unit is supposed to be staffed for 24/7 care. They would send her to different hospitals for no reason. She was not given her meds properly. On more than one occasion I found her pill packs not even opened (morning or night). On occasion she was given no meds for 3 consecutive days. When we asked the staff, the director and executive director they could not explain how that happened. On more than one occasion I arrived to find some of my mom's pills either on the ground or in the trash. Again with no explanation. On more than one occasion the overnight checks were not done and were not signed off on. Every time I went there my mom was alone in the dining room. They hardly ever have activities going on. The only activity I ever observed was watching people sing on You Tube. My mom's personal belongings were missing all the time. Someone stole her cell phone. Someone was drinking all her drinks. The executive director is never on site. Nurses are never visible. No one is ever held accountable. If they do respond to emails it's saying "we need to re-train our staff". I can't even count how many times I heard that as an excuse. I could go on and on but I think you get my point. This is not a good option for memory care or any kind of care for that matter. She's only been there for two months and I am already looking for a new place to move her. She is not safe her. It's so sad as I never see family members for any of the other residents so they probably don't even know how their loved one is being treated.

I visited this facility

We haven't moved my sister to Prospect house yet, but she should be there soon. They have a memory care unit. It is near someone that she cares about. Even though I live in New Hampshire, this one person can see her more often than I can. It's close to people she knows. They have multiple-sized units available for the residents. They have activities, large common areas, and three meals a day. She retains her independence, and they have a certain number of help they can give her. She can actually transition to a memory care unit as time goes on. The staff is very helpful, they seem to really care about the community, and helping the community they support. Even though they are in the city, they still have a nice open area for people to walk, and they provide transportation for events.

I recently toured this facility. I found the staff very attentive and the experience enjoyable . It seemed as though it was very close knit and the residents and staff were harmonious in their interactions.

The staff at Prospect House are competent. My mother is being cared for adequately. I couldn’t rave about it, but she’s safe, well-fed and the people are reasonable. It’s clearly not a brand new facility. It would need some updates, I would think, with the décor.

Do not go to this facility. Sub par at best. My grandfather had a horrible experience. The Director and Assistant Director are horrible. Food is scarce, dirty facility that has no Purell stations. Only interested in the money here, no care. They foul up meds and blame family. Go elsewhere please!

If you are considering this facility for someone with memory impairment, then move on and look at other facilities. We visited our grandmother and there was little programming and stimulation for the residents. She was pretty much left to sit her in room all day and night. Food was cold and inadequate and very little social activities unless you count the staff putting a CD into a player and having the residents sing along. No, take a pass...don't put your loved one here.

This is a wonderful, safe, beautiful community, with highly skilled staff. My family member has lived here for years. The care given is nothing less than exceptional. They have a full variety of social activities everyday. Which also includes weekly trips out. The relationships between the residents and the staff are more like a family.

Plan for staff supposed to check on a family member every hour and it was never done, i would sit and visit for hours and never see an aide come and check. meds given at wrong times or HOURS LATE. Talk heard that other residents calls for help UNANSWERED . One star is even too much for this place!

The staff is very nice at Prospect House. I've been there twice. I have been working with the staff and marketing director over there for about a month now. The latter has been more than helpful even beyond what I initially asked for. The staff has been extremely helpful, very kind and compassionate.

From what I was told during my visit , Prospect House does not do much for the residents, I would not want my family there ever. While the dining facility was clean the food was not so hot and the same offerings are repeated over, and over. This was something my grandmother's friend complained to me about. Another issue my grandmother's friend had was she felt there were very little activities offered to her other than bingo. The bright spot of this facility were the people in residence there they were friendly and offered the companionship this woman needed. She also mentioned that is was hard to go out shopping they only went out 1 day a week and to the closest shopping center with very little stores in it.

My aunt really seemed to be enjoying her time here. She was able to connect with other residents pretty easily, thank largely to the social events that the facility puts on. The people there all seemed very friendly and caring. The facility itself was always very clean and bright. The location itself was great, especially since it was only a few minutes from area amenities. I believe that they may have renovated the building recently and added some other activities, but I'm not sure. My aunt always felt very secure in the facility, since it is both in a very safe neighborhood and they seemed to be very serious about guests checking in and out of the facility. There are a lot of people there, so it seemed like everyone living there could "do their own thing" if they wanted to. Overall, it seemed that everyone very much enjoyed their lives there and were never bored,

My grandmother stayed here for a few years. She really enjoyed her time there. The staff were helpful and highly capable. The rooms were a good size and complete with very nice appliances. There were always plenty of activities for her to do and very good food to choose from. The facility was brand new at the time of her stay, that being said the quality of the building itself was impeccable. The hallways were well lighted, decorated with art work, and in areas near elevators were little alcoves to sit and sometimes organs to play. In the spring and summer landscaping was done weekly, planting flowers and making sure the grounds where nice. There were also daily trips to go shopping.A priest came for service every sunday. After a recent remodeling they also added a game room with a pool table and area for board games and a kitchen area that was used for making pizzas.

I visited this facility

Prospect is a large assisted living facility located in Revere, MA. The homecare company I work for sends me three times a month to prospect house to provide nursing care services to five residents. I am not employed by the facility. Prospect house is located in a Revere neighborhood that has average safety ratio. I enjoy driving to the facility while enjoying the beautiful scenic view of the ocean. The building is well secured. There is a receptionist who requests visitors to check in and out. She was friendly and helpful. Senior residents live in apartment-style rooms that seem comfortable. I accompanied one senior resident to the dining room for lunch and noticed that the food quality good. I noticed that several residents were roaming in the hallways. I also felt like I was in an institution because of the large size of the facility. Prospect house would not be suitable for seniors who prefer living in a smaller family-like community.
