Overall, the facility is a clean, comfortable, quality place for aging relatives and conveniently located in Quincy, MA. My grandparents lived there for a few years, and grew to like some of the staff members very much. The attending staff is very caring day-to-day helping with meals, changing clothes, etc., and they know the patients well, including their likes and dislikes. They always try to lift patients' spirits and engage them in conversations. Everyone who works throughout the building tries to make the residents feel comfortable and happy. They also try to honor any family special requests. They have doctors and nurses who come in and check on the patients, who are helpful when elderly patients are nursing a cold or minor injury. It puts the family's mind at ease knowing someone is checking on them. They also offer many programs for the residents such as a Christmas party, holiday bazaar and Mother's Day brunch so patients can enjoy time with their loved ones.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident
They leave my dad in a hi back chair to sleep while his legs r down for hours, his legs pool with fluid. He is left in a room or hallway. Why can’t they get him into his bed for a nap where his feet can b elevated and he can sleep comfortably? His neck hurts because his head is down on his chest all day. They put a stupid pain patch on his neck which doesn’t do anything. He needs to nap in his bed where his head can lie on a pillow. They don’t want to bother with any of the patients. They wheel them into a hall and leave them all day. He’s on a special diet yet they gave him someone else's tray. He drinks black coffee but they gave him cold coffee with cream. The food is dog food and inedible. When I was there at lunch time I pulled the cover off his plate and it was a mountain of dark yellow stuck together macaroni and cheese, that’s it. No nutrition there. The girl came and took his food away, never asked him if he’d like something else maybe ice cream or soup or sandwich, nope she said nothing, just took his uneaten food away. Don’t put your loved one in this facility. The place should b shut down quite frankly

I am/was a resident of this facility
Nursing care was average, some above and some below performance I would expect. Rehabilitation staff poor for the most part. I wonder if this service is contracted as it was so bad. Poor communication between all. I would never consider recommending this facility to anyone for any purpose.

My mom was in Hancock Park for two weeks. It is clean, well lit, food is nutritious and fresh. Staff is very well trained and friendly. Appropriate ratio of staff to patients. Facility is older but very well maintained.

They treated my Mom well who was basically in hospice after complications from Stage 4 endometrial Cancer. She was not mobile but they tried to move her around and make her as comfortable as possible. The facility was nice, food decent, etc...Like any other facility, they have very good staff, and then some others who need improvement. But overall her nurses and the other staff were good.

Please don't put your parents here! My mom was in for rehab after hospital stay, we ended up pulling her out and getting private at-home nursing. They gave her food she wasn't supposed to eat, left her with a bed sore unattended, left her oxygen off on several occasions, and left her sitting in a chair for 5 hours as her legs swelled and she was in excruciating pain. They didn't answer the call button! She was there to get strong to go home, but they were killing her!

I visited this facility to see my great grandmother. She was living there because she had Alzheimer's Disease, and they seemed to take great care of her. We arrived before we were visiting hours and were able to see her for a minute interacting with others and doing an activity to help her memory. The care I saw at the facility was excellent and the nurses and aids seemed like they really cared about all of the people in need of assisted living. Also, the center was very well kept and clean when my family visited. It was a beautiful building and very nice on the inside, as well. My great grandmother told us that she actually felt comfortable and happy there. She said she thought that the nurses were very helpful and caring all of the time. She said she had never had any problems with anyone who worked there. I think it is a great place for assisted living because my great grandmother tends to be stubborn, and she actually enjoys living there.
