I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Very disgusted with the quality of care they provided for our father. He went in for Rehad and just declined so rapidly and recently passed away..we all will never recommend this facility to any of our friends or family members. Short staffed and they dont provide quality care..very disgusted

if i could give this place negative stars, I would. they are constantly struggling, i've overheard conversations about proper care not getting done, about not having enough staff. it's disgusting. i never see any of the higher ups helping out besides doing simple tasks -- they need help putting people to bed not doing petty things. your loved one will not get changed in a timely manner, especially if they are total cares. 2 girls on a floor with at least 50 beds is NOT acceptable. I don't know how they're still open.

I recently did a private duty at Southpoint, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the care and staff at this facility. The nurses and CNA's were wonderful to name a few, Mary, Jill, Annette,Chin RN and many other gave my client wonderful care! I also have to mention the wonderful PT staff namely Muchelle. I highly recommend this facility!

My family member was there and never will go there again cna work short some have no clue how to follow care cards when u ask the question s they don't know clueless some follow care cards and do great but they need to do more training . Nurses some are great the ones that have been there years but someneed to get fired very rude and ignorant to pt and family members especially one nurse who is very cocky rude need to get rid of (kell the nurse) cnas complain about her too and other family members as well staff as well .lights go off long periods of time some nurses sit behind desk don't help cnas not right they are supposed to be helping out one another they r there for the same reason to care for pt not neglecting them and not answering lights when some of them arnt doing nothing very wrong will not recommend this place to know one they need to hire more nurses like fatima who is a excellent nurse .

MY MOM IS THERE AND LOVES IT. DAILY ACTIVITIES EVER DAY. ALWAYS CLEAN AND DRESSED. HER HEALTH HAS IMPROVED SINCE SHE HAS BEEN THERE. THERE IS ONE THING THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD.

I am a friend or relative of a resident

The doctor, I think, was part of the major problem at South Pointe. This facility had activities, but they did not go to the patients and encourage them to get out of their rooms and go. They would just ask and if they said no, that was the end of it. So, if my mom said no, they would walk away and leave her in the room and she'd be in her room all day, which is not a good way to live. That was one of the issues. The room was a very good size, and it was very bright and cheery. It was a newer facility, so it was very nice in appearance. It was a very nice place and she said the food was excellent. She loved the food, so she had no problems with the food. I would consider the care to be average. There was nothing that was really so great about it. They did have a lot of activities, but they weren't very forceful in encouraging the patients to join in. My mother was there for rehab -- so she wasn't there for long term -- and they would just mention that something was happening, but they did not take the time to encourage her. She was in bed all the time which -- by the way -- is the reason why they didn't do a very good job of keeping her without urinary tract infections either because she wasn't active.

The people there were very nice for the most part. The residents and facilities were kept very clean and sanitary. I give this a "3" because of the lack of experience in some of the younger staff. There were some instances of bed-sores, and another time in which they dropped my Grandfather while transferring him from wheel-chair to bed. They were not neglectful, but I felt they needed more training and possibly more prerequisites to obtain a CNA certification.
