I visited this facility

Inspired Living at Kenner is a very large campus, but it was way out. It was beautiful. It seemed to be well-run. It was very friendly. I remember they said they had a hair salon and a library. From what I remember, the overall ambiance was very nice. The staff members were wonderful. They're very kind and polite. We tried the food. I liked it, and so did my friend. We both enjoyed it. We noticed that it was clean.

My wife was transferred there under stressful circumstances for her and myself. I can't thank Amanda, Marie, Tiffany Shemeka enough for helping us through this transition. Her room on memory care is very nice. My wife is adjusting well there since being admitted. She is in the beginning stage of being adadmitted. But from all reports she is doing well and having fun. I am very happy that she is in a safe good place. I highly recommend Inspired Living in Kenner. Michael

My husband moved into Inspired Living at Kenner. They have all kinds of programs. I was really impressed. Every day there's something going on. They play games with them. The residents are able to walk around. There are cameras. My husband loves music, so they play music. The apartment came unfurnished, so I furnished the apartment. It's kept clean. The staff has been great. My husband has in particular pointed out one lady and said she is super nice to him. My dealings with the staff have been wonderful. They have a swimming pool. They have haircuts. My husband complains constantly about the food. However, I went the other day, and they brought him spaghetti, and it looked good. I've tried some of the red beans, and they're good.

My parents will be moving into Inspired Living at Kenner. We chose it because of the overall facilities, activities, pricing, and incentives. The staff who toured us around was very good. She was excellent. Part of the decision my parents chose this place was because of the person who gave us the tour. They enjoyed it, and they felt cared for. The apartments looked excellent. They've put in new carpet, painted all the walls, and made any repairs that were needed. The dining area looked beautiful. They had group activities like a luau, card games, puzzles, and exercise classes, and they had two happy hours a week.

Inspired Living at Kenner was nice, but expensive. They were very, very accommodating, and very helpful. They took their time to answer questions and show you the facility. The location was fine. The building was superb. It's clean and upscale, and they have a memory care unit, which was nice for my aunt because she has Alzheimer's. Understandably, they're expensive at $250 a day. The other thing I didn't appreciate about them is no matter if you stayed one day, two days, or whatever, you had to pay for 14 days. It was kind of like a set rate for 14 days, so that was a little disturbing. It's a great place with great people, but a short-term event that you may need, that was a little hard to do. I didn't meet the caregivers. I only met the tour people, and they were excellent. They have laundry, a beauty shop, a pool, and transportation for people that can transport on their own to different places. It goes from retired people to memory care, so it had a good assortment of amenities to support the different stages of elderly life.

Inspired Living at Kenner is a great facility. It's really nice and laid out really good; it's just the price of it. They got different levels of care. It starts out at $500 for one and $900 for the next one, and then it goes on down the line. There are a few other fees, too. The units looked good. They showed me two different sizes that they had. They're laid out really good, too, as far as the walk-in shower, all the handicapped trails and all of that. Each room comes with a refrigerator. The tour was good. Everything looked good. The person who took me around was nice. She explained everything. She asked me some questions and stuff, and I had questions for her. They have a swimming pool in the back, too. She pointed out that they got like a hoist chair. A patient could get in the chair that they can lower down in the water, which was pretty cool. I had never seen that before.

I liked the warmth of Inspired Living at Kenner. It was not as corporate. It just gave a very warm feeling. I met with the representative named Tiffany. She answered all my questions. If I had a question or wanted to speak to somebody, I was able to go ahead and do that. She was very, very open about their strengths. The material that they gave me as far as pricing and all the things that were available was all inclusive. The representative found out where we lived. She asked if I had tried a place that was close to my house, which I had. After spending an hour with me, interacting with me, and seeing what my objectives were, she wanted me to go to Inspire. However, she also thought enough of me and my mother after an hour to ask if I had looked at a place that was closer. We are 20 minutes from Inspired, but only 5 minutes from this other place. From a marketing point of view, they may not like that; however, from a relations point of view, that shot that place up. If all the employees are like that, that's the kind of place I want my mother at. The cleanliness was very good. It was a good feeling when I got there. They gave me information that I needed to help whittle down and narrow my visit. I don't think I should have to go two times to try to get a feel for the place.

I did a tour of Inspired Living at Kenner. I don't have anything negative to say about the facility. I was just disappointed that it wasn't in my budget. The actual facility is amazing. It's spotless, and it has so many things to offer the residents there. Now I know why it's called inspired living because everything is catered to the residents there. There are rooms that they have. The ones that I saw were all private rooms and everything is equipped for someone that has mobility issues. The showers are roll-in showers, and the programs that they have for the individuals keep them active. They group the residents by their mental abilities. If you're going to lunch, dinner, or what have you, they have a chef and waiters. They bring the food to the residents, and they grouped them by their mental capabilities at each table. If they have a good memory, they were able to talk and they're social, they group them at those tables that are best for them. I love all the social activities that they have for them. I love the glass box that they have by their doors where you put things like family pictures and stuff to remind that person that this is their room because they see something familiar every time they pass that door. It's just a great facility. I didn't have the food, but I like the way it's set up, where they served them their meals. They have an awesome menu. They have a salon and a separate barber shop. They have laundry services that they do all the laundry for their residents. They have a walking path. The facility is amazing. They have joy rides; they take the residents out for rides. They have ice cream socials, music socials, and bingo. They have a priest that comes to the facility. There were just so many things, just a lot of positive interaction with the patients. It's a very clean facility.

Inspired Living at Kenner was nice. They were helpful. They gave us more information than the rest gave us. It's a little pricey. It's about $1,500 over what we're paying at the other place. They had more activities. They had parties and everything on weekends for the guests. It's probably worth what they charge, but it's more than we can afford. The rooms are nice. They're about the same size as the other place. They're well laid out, and they were clean. Every time somebody moves in and out, they get a fresh paint job. They had an activity calendar, and it was pretty full. I was in there when they were serving lunch. It smelled great. It looked delicious, but I didn't taste it. They have a bigger salon. It's a bigger facility. It's a lot bigger than the rest of them. The staff were very nice and courteous. They answered any questions we had.

I visited Inspired Living at Kenner. It was very nice, very personable, clean, and friendly, and it had lots of amenities. The person who took me around was very nice, personable, talkative, and gave good descriptions. The place is like a family; that's the way she described it. They have microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. No stove. Outside, they have walking trails and a swimming pool.

Inspired Living at Kenner was beautiful. We went to the memory care unit and it was very impressive. It had individual bedrooms and bathrooms for each resident. The staff was very kind and very nice. Everyone seemed to be very happy there. It was good. They had beautiful outside walking areas, a gazebo, and a screened-in porch. They had a lot of indoor and outdoor activities for them. There's a swimming pool and they were very hands-on. It looked great.

I went to look at Inspired Living at Kenner. It was a nice tour. It looks like a hotel on the inside. It is very new and nice. They said they had people to help people with dementia, but it's quite costly. They had a pool and a lot of amenities. The rooms were good and had a walk-in shower. What's nice about the food is if you didn't like what they had, you could ask for something else. They share the menu for the whole week. They have a salon if the tenants need hair care, manicures, and pedicures.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The community of Inspired Living at Kenner is very nice. My husband moved in there and the food has been pretty good actually. It's just the service in the dining room has been pretty bad. Sometimes people sit for almost 30 to 45 minutes for their food. It's been hard, after the hurricane down here, to find people to work with. So, they're having trouble staffing the food service area. The nursing and housekeeping services have been good though, and the care partners are adequate. They hold religious services, play bingo almost every day, have a couple of card clubs, and go on field trips or shopping once a week. They're also quick to respond to small maintenance issues for the resident. They're doing a lot of facility work around the outside of the building right now, trying to bring it back to what it was before the hurricane. What I liked the best about the place is its overall physical facility. It's very nice.

Inspired Living at Kenner was a resort. I loved it. It's a top-notch place. I've never been to memory care, but I would go there if I had to. It was beautiful. My mothers almost 86, and she loved it. It just was a lot more expensive and it's so big. I didn't think my stepdad would get out and use most of the stuff they offered because he's more bedbound. I liked the staff that showed me the place, but I didn't get to see the staff working with the people. They took the time to fit me in without an appointment and they showed me everything. They were very nice and cordial. The food looked really good. They had a chef there. They had a pool, a bar, a salon, and a gym. It was nice. I would have put my mom there.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My partner has moved into Inspired Living Kenner. It had a national reputation for memory care, and that was my main objective. Also, it was very clean and well-organized. It seemed like memory care was not like a jail. Even though it's locked, there was a lot of area for memory care. So far, it's been very positive. They've bent over backward to try to help me to be able to afford it and to provide whatever I needed to get going. The only thing that I had wanted was to put him into a companion suite, but they didn't have one. They said they would move in a couple of months if he were doing okay. Also, because we didn't know if he was going to do okay with memory care, we both agreed on a trial basis to see how it goes if he needs too much care to be there. He had been fairly independent before he got sick and got put in the hospital. He had become almost bedridden, and they have so much medicine, so many psychotropic medications that we really can't tell what he's capable of yet. The facility is beautiful. What I like about it is its outside; it's just the furthest edge of the county here. It's got a lot of land around it and you don't feel like you're walled into the city, which some of them are. It's nice, the bathroom is very well equipped. He has windows that he can look out of, and it's over empty grass areas. It's nice that he will have access to a swimming pool. They have a large screened-in area that is part of the public area, and they also have a long walk for them. It's a good bit of space, but his own accommodation is quite adequate, nice, and clean. Yesterday I sat in with the exercise, I did it myself. It was a chair exercise, and it was very good. Then they had a game, a Christmas quiz kind of game. They had quite a few people there participating in it, really got the social thing going. It was well handled, and I was impressed. I enjoyed myself that time. He was sleeping half the time, and he wasn't participating too much yet, but we'll see because it would be stimulating for him when he's awake. They won't let him sleep in his room, they'll make him sit out there, and sleep in his wheelchair, which I like because he was spending all this time, sleeping in his room.

I toured Inspired Living at Kenner and it was very nice, very enjoyable, and very informative. The lady who assisted me into the memory care was top-notch. The place was very nice, very clean, and very fun. The dining area was also very nice. They have a nice courtyard, a place you can walk around, an activity center, a place to play music and where they can sing. It was very nice.

I had an in-person tour of Inspired Living at Kenner. It was very good. I was very impressed with it, and I liked it a lot. It was very friendly and very clean. They offered a lot from what I could see. Geared to the older people, and just overall, I was impressed with it. The layout was very open. They offered a lot of different rooms where you could go and meet, or you could play games. The outside was kept up very nice.

Inspired Living at Kenner was nice. They introduced us to the staff and showed us around the 3 different size rooms. They talked about their activities and what they do. They go out and the staff told me they have a vehicle that transfers them. The place was clean and smelled good, not like a nursing home. It's very nice. One of the rooms they showed us is a studio, the next size is a medium and a private room, and the next one is a large room that's also a private room. They're very spacious, they're nice and the bathrooms are nice. It also has a step-in shower, all we have to do is bring my dad a bench to sit on for the shower. The place is just beautiful. I didn't see any of the food but the staff told me about the menus and what the residents eat. We saw the exercise room, the barber and the beauty salon, the dining area, and the activity room. We also saw the back patio outside, the little pond where they go fishing and have their outings in, and the bus for their tours.

We chose Inspired Living at Kenner for my father because it offered a lot of activities. I liked that they had a pool where you could exercise, and they had a fishing pier. My dad is a fisherman, so I knew he would like that. He's in assisted living, but they have memory care, too. It's very clean, the staff is very friendly, and everybody is willing to help you. He said the food is good, so that's a plus. The room is very nice. They were very accommodating. As long as he gets out of his room and socializes, that's all I care about, but he was interested when the director came in and talked about Wine Down Wednesday, happy hour on Friday, and the gardening club they are going to start. It's a very nice facility.

We went to the memory care side and assisted living side of Inspired Living at Kenner, and we're absolutely thrilled with it. It's a beautiful place, and they offered so much. That is the reason why we're bringing my mother-in-law back, and we hope she feels the same way. We only saw the lady who provides the tours, Amanda, and she was very, very friendly. She took her time with all the questions we had. We sat in the office afterward and talked about all kinds of stuff, and she was very helpful. The rooms are beautiful, too. She showed us three different sizes, and we're bringing my mother-in-law back to let her pick which one she would be more comfortable in. The community is in a quiet area. The parking is really easy. Getting to it is also really easy, and there isn't a lot of traffic to get in there. I really like that. It looked like there are so many activities that I've never seen from any other places as well. The menu looked average, and it's not a whole lot, but it has fair choices.

I like Inspired Living at Kenner. I like the setup that they have, but not the contract. I also don't like the fact that they don't check their equipment prior to issuing it because my dad had a fall and the little bracelet he had, which if he had a problem, he can call a nurse, the battery was dead, and he's only been living in there less than a month. Other than that, the place is very nice and the staff does a wonderful job. They just need to worry about the infrastructure a little bit on their end and the legal end as well. He said the food is fine. They have a swimming pool that has an assistance chair so that they can help any limited mobility person get into the pool. They also have a putting green and they do excursions. It's a good place.

My father was a resident of Inspired Living at Kenner. They're very helpful and guide you through it, so you don't have to worry about the paperwork for insurance because they take care of it. They also explained the billing, and overall, it was a good experience for us considering the circumstances. They had a good staff, and the community was in a good location. The grounds were neat, clean, and well set up. The building was pretty new, and the parking was easy. They also played bingo and watched movies. There's a screened area outside that the residents could go in, or they can play Putt-Putt golf outside. They take the residents out on tours and excursions once in a while to museums, and have an oldies band that would come and play for them.

Inspired Living was the newest one out there, but it was a lot pricier. We took our dad there, and he thought it was too large. It had just been opened, so there weren't too many residents. It did not seem homey. However, Inspired Living was gorgeous. From what we saw, it was absolutely beautiful. I kind of hoped he would pick that one, but he did not. It was in the same area where my dad's staying, and they offered a few more things.
