Georgetown Village was the one we liked the most. The people were awesome. Their facilities were very nice. There were all kinds of stuff to do.

My mother is in Georgetown, and she seems to like it very much. So, we are pretty happy with it. She has an apartment, and it is nice. They take pretty good care of her. She has fallen, and they have been there. She has a bump on her wrist, and they take care of that. They check on her and make sure she makes it to meals. The dining area is nice. The people serving the food and everything are very attentive. The food is good. They have a menu of several things that you can choose from, and they also have an a la carte menu that you can choose from.
She has a one-bedroom apartment with a small kitchen area, a living room, and a bedroom. Because my mother does not need to be cooking, the refrigerator is plugged in, but the stove is not, and it is safe. They have activities like movies, bingo, and exercise programs. There is a hairdresser there, and that is very important to my mother. There are common areas where you can just sit and talk. There is also an outside area which is very pretty. I like the cleanliness of the facility. The staff is great. They are really very caring.

Georgetown Village was beautiful, and the big lobby you walk into when you enter the building was gorgeous. A friend's brother-in-law was living on the assisted living side there and he was very happy there. You can do a lot of decorating on the independent living apartments. The one we looked at had a big window and people display their collection and what have you in their windows. It was really nice. The laundry was outside the rooms, and the machines were complementary. They had many things, like a chapel, if you want to go to church, and it was non-Denominational. They had cooking classes, crafts, puzzles, and all kinds of things to do there. The staff was great, and the building was beautiful. There wasn't a lot of kitchen space, but you're going to eat most of your meals in the dining room anyway. They also did day trips, they'd take you to your medical appointments if you need it, which is nice. You can also take the bus and they'll take you to the grocery stores or shopping, or outings and things like that. We still drive, but if it came to a point that we didn't, then that would be a good amenity to have.

The Via Christi Georgetown had senior living and then below they had the same type of rooms for assisted living. It's wonderful. If it had been in Derby, Kansas, I would have chosen that one. The rooms were larger. This was the best one I found in this area. It was very clean and I liked that they have more residents than where I'm at. They have a little store in their facility and they have a little bank. It's very well organized. It's an older building, but it's well kept outside and inside.

I liked Via Christi Village a lot. It was very nice, clean, and neat. The food was delicious when I had lunch there. They had just about anything we wanted, like free rides to appointments and activities. The staff was very helpful and nice.

I chose Via Christi Georgetown for my mother. She hasn't been there very long after moving in last April because she's been to the hospital a couple of times. They've been very good in bringing her food up to her. The apartments were unfurnished, but they've been really nice in helping her move in. The service is good. However, the place needs a splash of color because it's so plain.

Everything at Georgetown Village is fine; I am satisfied. The staff is always right on time when something needs to be done or my mom needs something else. The activities were good; they played bingo, music programs, and movies. The dining area is fine, but she is a little disappointed with the food. She doesn’t really care for their offerings.

I am/was a resident of this facility
I have lived here for several years and the facility has declined a lot. The food was delicious when I moved in and it is bad now. They use all food that is prepared and frozen use an abundance of processed food. Most of the food is tasteless. I have gotten to where I go the dining room for socialization not the food.
The faculty is better than most feeling homey. It has two big rooms with sky lights. There is also 4 atrium with sky lights. It seems more open than the facilities that have there apartment with halls like a hotel.
Staff doses a poor job of supervising their staff. The cleaning staff does a poor job of cleaning. They rarely do all the cleaning that the list of items they are suppose to do. I usually do extra cleaning after they leave. I don't stay and watch them, but they could do much better.
Maintenance staff does a good job.
Office staff is friendly and helpful.
Wait staff is friendly and help full
Cook staff has not had the correct training, supervision and do not follow the directions they are giving.they know there will be consequences. The person who shows the apartments says things that are many times untrue. She really doesn't listen and she is too bossy when she thinks you need some care you don't need. She doesn't have the training to assess people, but she ignores the residents that can use help..
Some of the staff ignores what you say when that don't want to hear it.o r Administrator, Dietary are the worst.
I don't move because I have some very good friends and I hove the open feeling. Since my eyes have been opened I should have moved else where. .

Georgetown Village was nice. It was a little older but nice. It's been a really good place, just not as new as some of the others, but they had a lot of programs. I think the staff and dining were nice, and I liked the apartments better than some of the newer ones I've seen because they were bigger. I liked the location because it is closer to me and there aren't too many of them in the south end of town that I know about. Everybody was nice, and I liked the size of the apartments better. It's a little older, but before some of these fancier ones were built, it was one of the better ones.

They are very accommodating at Georgetown Village. My parents are in the independent side of the facility. If they need help, all they need to do is call. A staff will then come up and help them. The food seems to be OK. Mom and dad play bingo, and they also have movie nights. They have a two-bedroom and two-bath apartment with a full kitchen, a small dining room, and a living room area. The facility is gated, and you have to sign in every time you visit.

Georgetown is a lovely and lively place for retirement aged couples and individuals to live. They have daily activities planned, an on site hairdresser and bank. The apartments are spacious and each has a large picture window that the residents decorate for all occasions. The food there is much tastier than what is traditionally thought of for this type of living space. The staff is very friendly and know all of their residents by name. The residents have the ability to be as social as they choose to be. On Sunday there are several church services avaable for a variety of religious backgrounds and a weekly movie night.

This is almost a full continuum of care community; offering assisted and independent living but the hospital and nursing homes are not truly attached. The apartments are well kept and spacious. It is nicely tucked away off of Harry Stree in the south central part of the city. It is very close to shopping, transportation and medical facilities. The grounds are well kept and there are good opportunities to socialize. Food is very good and there is a popular buffet within walking distance if you want to go out for a meal. Care-givers are really nice Crime in the area is of concern so don't wander off the campus on your own!

I visited this facility
Before my grandmother died she stayed at this facility for approximately eight months. We visited her several times. The staff seemed to be pleasant with her and have no problems with us being there for several hours outside of the allotted visiting times given the situation. My grandmother being a pleasant lady herself had seemed to make friends out of a few of the nurses. She complained that it was cold, and it was overly cool in the facility, But they provided her with blankets and anything else she needed, they even allowed her to play her gospel music as loud as she wanted. The facilities were decent and relatively clean although understaffed. One thing I noticed was the lack of security or any kind of "check" system for visitors. The meals were nice and sufficient and dietary needs were taken well into consideration. Most of the rooms are shared just depending on the situation. Wichita is said to have the worst nursing homes in the nation but this one just may be an exception.
